Mission

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — so they can focus on helping their child live. When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was largely considered incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate in the U.S. from 20% to more than 80%. But in many countries only 1 out of 5 children who develop cancer will survive. Every child deserves a chance to live their best life and celebrate every moment. We won’t stop until no child dies from cancer, no matter where they live.

    Hi everybody! Saturday was my third swim for the fundraiser. An hour after I finished, I met my goal! The Bridge to Bridge was awesome! I was nervous I wouldn't be able to hold pace and would slow everyone down. I then ended up being the lead swimmer for two pods of 12 others! Not what I expected. I finished in 1 hour and 37 minutes!! This was sort of a graduation from my own cancer treatment. My last chemo and radiation were 2 years and 10 days ago. This was my way of not holding on to things that slow you down, but instead rising to the challenges life brings. Once again, I really appreciate the support! Thank you all for your generous donations, and hopefully it helps some children in their fight againts cancer!
