Hello everyone,
It’s been one week since I landed in Hamburg and started my dance education.
From Monday morning to Friday evening, our days are filled with different classes. It’s not only about dance and movement techniques alongside classes such as Martha Graham technique, we also have anatomy, drama, and singing.
What I find interesting about the pedagogy here is that the focus is not only on learning how to dance, but on developing yourself as a stage dancer and performer. Understanding the body, learning how to articulate yourself, working with your voice, and exploring the connection between mind and body are all part of the process.
Our first day was also quite special. Instead of a usual introduction, we were welcomed with a performance by the third year students. It was a beautiful way to enter this new environment and get a glimpse of where these three years might take us.
We are a big class, and my classmates are quite a bit younger than me. So socially, I’m still finding my way! Sometimes I genuinely don’t know what to talk about with them But I guess finding my place here is also part of this new chapter.
It has only been one week, so there is still so much for me to discover, question, learn, and experience.
I’m very grateful for all the warm support that helped me get this far. I hope you can continue supporting me and sharing my campaign your friends and communities. Maybe this journey can also inspire someone else to keep chasing something that once felt impossible.
I would love to keep this space not only as a fundraising page, but also as a place where I can occasionally share updates, thoughts, challenges, and discoveries throughout my education.
