<div>UPDATE: I believe that everybody is seeing what’s been happening in Gaza. There are no words to describe the horror, and we are short on words. All of us. We are drained, even those of us watching from afar. I believe everybody is shocked and concerned. I am writing this update for my dear friends, survivors, yet still in grave danger and in dire need of continuous support. Funds are still needed for this family’s survival in the coming months and beyond. I ask my friends, and their friends, and everyone else that is feeling the weight of the suffering and pain to please contribute and help support Ahmed and his family at this very difficult time. I am raising the target of the fundraiser because there have been costly medical expenses recently. I will be forever grateful to all those that will help support my friends, my beloved Gaza family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>—
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Rania and I am trying to raise funds for my friend Ahmed and his family - they are unable to do so on their own from within Gaza. I want them to survive. I want them to live. It could be me. It could be you. Palestinian lives matter!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please also read the article I wrote about the bond between Ahmed and I: <a href="https://thisweekinpalestine.com/gaza-your-life-is-my-life/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><a href="https://thisweekinpalestine.com/gaza-your-life-is-my-life/" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://thisweekinpalestine.com/gaza-your-life-is-my-life/</a></a>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Finally, kindly see message below from Ahmed himself:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hello, it’s Ahmed Dremly…I’m a five-war survivor, yet I’m not sure if I will make it this time around. I’m writing this message from the north of Gaza where I grew up, where I belong, and where I seeded the memories of my whole life which were all demolished in this war. Today our situation in the north is beyond the imagination - there is no food to feed our hungry mouths, no clean water to clean our empty stomachs, and no medicine to help our neglected injured.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I used to live with my parents and my married brother in a small apartment, until my three sisters with their families sought refuge with us after two of them - Lina and Diana - had their homes destroyed during the Israeli invasion. So they have stayed with us as they have no other shelter.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Haya, my youngest sister with her husband and two little kids - in addition to my brother with his wife and three little children - preferred to evacuate to the south of Gaza to put less pressure on the family here and to ‘distribute’ so if part of us were killed, at least the others would stay alive.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now, my sister Haya and her family are in a terrible situation in Rafah.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>During the first days of the war against Gaza, I managed to buy canned food and other stuff from my savings, as I'm the only breadwinner of the family. But after two months of the war, the food and my savings were finished. The price of food and other basics for our survival render me helpless to manage our life in this dire situation. I refused to seek any help or assistance before, but now I think I have to do anything possible to support my 19-member family, the 17 relatives with us who have evacuated their own homes - including my 75 year-old grandmother, my severely injured uncle, and my five orphaned cousins who lost their father in an airstrike.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The use of these funds will be for:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>$10,000 which could be enough for two months to purchase: flour (or anything similar that might be available) which costs $500 per 25-kilo bag; pampers for the 3 little children of my nieces and nephews, which costs $100 for one bag; blankets and clothes, most people fled their houses without bringing any belongings; and medicine for my diabetic mother, heart patient grandmother, and my injured uncle and cousins, especially due to the lack of healthcare and food in the north caused by the Israeli invasion.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>$3000 to buy three solar panels, an inverter, and batteries, to power our house after five months of the electricity cut and to have the ability to charge our devices so we can still be connected to the world.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>$10,000 for repairs of my two sisters’ destroyed houses, so they can return to their homes.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>$20,000 to help rebuild our lives from scratch, if we can.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am afraid this is our last opportunity to survive. We have lost everything, but your donations can help save our lives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for considering our plea in these desperate times...
</div>

<div>Hi My name is Chenille Phillips and I am organizing this fundraiser on the behalf of my dear sister, Channon Keaton and her family. Her home in Altadena on El Molino Ave along with all of their belongings from over 15+ years has been burned to the ground. On January 8th, 2025, Channon, Aniyah, and RJ evacuated with nothing but the clothes on their backs due to the horrific Eaton Fire.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Many of you have asked, what can you do to help? While we are grateful for the offers of food and other gifts, what is most needed right now is monetary contributions. They will need every bit of financial support  to cover unexpected costs and additional needs not covered by other sources of aid to carry them through the uncertain months ahead.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Any amount you are able to donate is greatly appreciated.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Thank you all in advance for your continued kindness, prayers and generosity.

<div><strong>UPDATE 4/3/26 (from Samer)</strong>: Rebuilding My Family's House! - Support Needed! ❤️
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am Samer, and I’m appealing to you as a potential helper to a father who lost everything he owned – as you might if you found yourself in my situation. My home was bombed, my family was killed including my only daughter, and everything I lived for was shattered.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Today, I'm not looking for luxury or a comfortable life. All I want is a simple place where I can live with dignity. Rent has become an unbearable burden, so I've decided to start over.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To rebuild my destroyed home and furnish it with the simplest furniture to help me settle down and begin anew.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What you are helping me rebuild:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The house needs repairs after being hit by an airstrike. First, the rubble, cement, and large stones must be removed. Second, the windows must be sealed tightly and the doors replaced with wooden ones covered with plastic sheeting. A reinforced steel external elevator also needs to be installed. Interior furnishings include a mattress, bed, water tank, and kitchenette. The total cost is only $3,000, and the house will be ready for immediate occupancy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/80992711_1775233255711228_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div><br />

<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div> I need your help…while money goes directly to the costs to rebuild, it’s not the only meaningful way to support me: even words of encouragement, or sharing my story helps. You can find me on IG at <a href="https://www.instagram.com/savesamergaza" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">www.instagram.com/savesamergaza</a>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any contribution—even a small one—is a step towards reclaiming something of my life. To find a roof over my head, and a place where I can stay after so much upheaval. Through times of suffering, there are always “the helpers.” Thank you for choosing to be one of the helpers of our lifetimes.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you,
</div>
<div>Samer
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>__________________________
</div>
<div>My name is Caroline and it's been an honor to meet Samer Ladaa through my friend Anas in the Gaza strip. Samer was the racquetball instructor for Anas' two boys. When Anas asked if I could help create a GoFundMe to <strong>support Samer's family and evacuation</strong>, I was happy to. Samer's story is profoundly challenging, but he has proceeded with grace and I'm in awe of his resilience and kindness.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Samer worked as a purchasing officer at Al Amal Institute for Orphans in the Gaza Strip. During the aggression against Gaza, he was displaced with his family three times; from Al-Nasr to Al-Rimal to Deir Al-Balah to Rafah, to the outskirts of Deir Al-Balah, heeding the instruction of the Israeli army. After two weeks of displacement in Rafah, the house next to his family was bombed <strong>leaving</strong> <strong>80% of his close relatives martyred: his mother and father, his beautiful 8 year-old daughter Massa, his brother and sister-in-law, all of their children, and two of his uncles were martyred in this bombing.</strong>
</div>
<div class="youtube-replace"><br />
</div>
<div><em>Walking with his daughter Massa during the war before she was martyred.</em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Samer’s wife, Aya, was pulled out from under the rubble. She suffered a spinal injury of the fifth vertebra and fractures in her ribcage. They were able to transfer her to Egypt for a costly surgery where doctors added 16 screws and two platinum rods. She now requires physical therapy for recovery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Their infant son born during the war, Taim, suffered a hernia in the diaphragm and was thrown from inside the room to the outside. He miraculously survived, and was also transferred to Egypt where he’s had three surgeries including the removal of his spleen, and now requires ongoing weekly medical treatment.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Samer suffered a moderate head injury, and the <a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/C1CEpkqM81Y/?igshid=NGEwZGU0MjU5Mw%25252525252525252525252525252525253D%25252525252525252525252525252525253D" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">immediate aftermath was shown on Al Jazeera</a> in this video: <a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/C1CEpkqM81Y/?igshid=NGEwZGU0MjU5Mw%253D%253D" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/C1CEpkqM81Y/?igshid=NGEwZGU0MjU5Mw%3D%3D" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.instagram.com/reel/C1CEpkqM81Y/?igshid=NGEwZGU0MjU5Mw%3D%3D</a></a>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>His six year old son, Moaz, was not subjected to any physical injury, but he’s been subjected to a difficult psychological situation after parting with his sister, the martyr Massa. He is constantly asking about her. He says things like, ”I wish Massa was with me in this game. We used to play it together.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Samer was able to evacuate his wife, her mother, and their two remaining children to Egypt. <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@abeerdaily/video/7379757220801662251?_r=1&amp;_t=8nDHSyoXnbl" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Here's a video interviewing his wife Aya </a> as they receive aid from a volunteer org after entering Egypt.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now he needs assistance with their living expenses: their travel costs, monthly house rent, and medical treatments for her and their infant. And Samer is still in Gaza – separated from his dearest loved ones due to the high price of travel arrangements to Egypt at $5,000 per person. <strong>Please help him reunite with his remaining family in Egypt and cover critical medical and living costs.</strong> In his own words, “They are all I have left in this world.”
</div>
<div><br />

Help Samer Reunite with His Family & Cover Living Expenses

<div>Dear reader,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am Mohammed Abu Afifa, a 37-years old civil engineer from Gaza. My family and I have been seriously affected by the ongoing war in Gaza.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I met my amazing wife Asma'a Al-Tilbani and we have now 3 children, 2 boys Khalid and Amro, and one beautiful daughter Tala.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Khalid is 11 years old, and he got injured in his eye in the 2021 war on Gaza. Khliad has also other health conditions and he needs continuous medical treatments. Khalid has experienced 4 wars on Gaza, and he is suffering due to smoke and smell of rockets and bullets.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Tala is 9 years old, and she got injured in her face during the current war on Gaza. Tala did not have regular education due to the wars on Gaza in 2021 en 2023 and before that due to Corona outbreak. Tala wishes to have a normal year at her school like any other student elsewhere without worry or fear.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My 3-years old child, Amro, is going through very hard time due to the current war on Gaza.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This picture of me and my family was taken in our lovely home a few days before this war started. Our home is now severely damaged so we had to displace several times, first to a Magazi refugee camp, and then further south to Khan Younis, and finally to Dir Al-balah looking for a safe place for our kids.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I was working as a freelancer, and my only income source was the project I was working on, this is now gone! and I don't have any other source to feed my family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Recently I got celiac disease, I have lost 15 KG of my weight. With your help I hope to be able to evacuate my family from Gaza and rebuild our life again.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are in dire need of your support in this difficult time. Please consider making donations. Every little bit counts! Please consider sharing this fundraise with your friends.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I will be very grateful. Kindness and generosity can make a difference in this difficult time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you,
</div>

Help me to get my family out of Gaza, please

<div>Dear friends,
</div>
<div>I'm Tammy and I started this fundraiser for my friends in Gaza: Enas, her husband, Fady Adnan Khader Al-Zabdah, and their young daughter Ilana.
</div>
<div>----------------------------
</div>
<div><strong>**UPDATE May 2025:</strong>
</div>
<div>The two months of food and aid blockade and recent bombings in the Khan Yunis area where Fady, Enas and Ilana have been sheltering have once again displaced them, this time to the streets without shelter, leaving belongings behind just hours before a targeted airstrike blew up their neighborhood. On Sunday, May 18th, Fady alerted us that “the occupation army is beginning a great new start in the Gaza Strip and is beginning its existential presence”.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The ground invasion has begun again. Tanks have been advancing east of Khan Younis and firing fire and shells, specifically the Fakhari area. @fady_al_zabda sent video at sunrise in Khan Yunis where sounds of gunshots and missiles were flying overhead. Earlier that day, photos of airstrikes a kilometer away. Just the day before, llana was starving but they were still gathering sea water. They did not know that just hours later, they’d be hiding. That hours later, bullets would be flying over llana and her mother @enasdagga ‘s heads. Enas’ phone has burned and is broken, so now the family shared Fady’s phone to stay connected with us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Recent days have been excruciatingly dangerous, having them sleeping on the street for fear of being bombed and of course the incessant hunger. Baby Ilana has fallen ill and has diarrhea today. The price of flour has been climbing daily. According to a Time’s article, “Since Israeli forces resumed offensive operations on March 18, the price of flour has climbed by 5,000 percent, residents say, and cooking oil by 1,200 percent”, and, “Famine, which has loomed over the enclave for much of the 19-month war, is now imminent, according to international aid groups. The groups, led by the U.N., base their assessment on a complex formula known as the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The most recent report, released May 12, found the whole of Gaza qualified as an “Emergency,” or at critical risk of famine. Some 470,000 residents (22 percent) had reached “Catastrophe,” defined as “starvation, death, destitution and extremely critical acute malnutrition levels.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please help us focus our donations on helping them secure medicine for Baby Ilana, food and drinking water.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>**Scroll down to our UPDATES section for more updates and photos</strong>
</div>
<div>------------------
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>*UPDATE March 2025:<strong> </strong>We are raising funds for Fady, Enas (recovering from an emergency C-section), and their young daughter Ilana. Sadly, their son, Adam, passed away a couple of weeks after being born prematurely. The funds will help them to hopefully evacuate when the border opens, and also to help support costs to pay for shelter, supplies, and food for them and their extended family as well.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>UPDATE Feb. 2025: We are now back to raising funds for Fady, Enas (in hospital), young Ilana, and her newborn baby brother to evacuate in March 2025. This will cost at least $7,500 CAD. </strong>All of the funds raised to date had been sent to them over the past year to pay for shelter, supplies, and food for them and their extended family. We are starting at the beginning again.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>UPDATE Nov. 2024: </strong>Due to the desperate and ongoing situation, this fund is now being directed to their family's basic needs for survival on the ground, such as for shelter, food and medicine. Since this fundraiser was created and written, they have been displaced over ten times, have survived many attacks and have tragically had close friends and family martyred.<strong> </strong>We are now fundraising for not only Fady, his wife Enas (who is pregnant), and their baby Ilana, but also Fady’s nine brothers, two sisters, his brother’s children, and his mother.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Kefah is Fady’s brother. He was partially paralyzed by an Israeli airstrike several years ago and is in a wheelchair. His name كفاح translates to “struggle”. As such, the constant displacement and danger is even more of a challenge. He requires medicine and his wheelchair requires a new battery. Fady’s older sister lives with an intellectual disability, but she still smiles despite their circumstances.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Baby Ilana is now walking on her own. She went to the doctor for a check-up a couple of weeks ago, and also got her second polio vaccine. She is thankfully relatively healthy, as are Enas and Fady. Unfortunately, another winter is coming and their family needs food, warm blankets, clothing, medicine, diapers, and shelter. Everything they had was destroyed by an airstrike on their refugee camp in early October.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>--------------
</div>
<div><strong>Original fundraising description below, with their family's story:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Enas is a sociologist, and her husband Fady is a hairdresser. He ran a salon in Khan Yunis which was bombed, along with their home, belongings, and any savings they had. After having been displaced, they sheltered in a makeshift tent in Rafah and caring for their young baby with very little to no access to healthcare, sanitation, water, or food.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>"I myself would like to move out, with my husband and my child. There is no place left for us to live in. They have completely destroyed the area and it is not suitable for living."</em>

<div><em>Outside their tent in Rafah, where they were previously displaced.</em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But then, Rafah was attacked, and they were forced to flee back to Khan Yunis. Today, they live in a bombed out building in the heat, living on meager supplies, and surrounded by the sounds and constant threat of warfare.
</div>

</div>
<div>"I am a father of a 7-month-old daughter, Ilana. Our lives were simple, and like everyone else we were dreaming of our future and we were all grateful for the little things that made us happy. But our dreams and ambitions were shattered in this difficult war.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>I hope that I, my wife and my child will live like any family in this world in peace, security and stability.</strong> I want to give them everything they want, but the harshness of life here has deprived us of everything. How it hurts my heart to see them suffering from hunger and death, and I can't do anything.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>I do not wish to leave my country. I love my country and I love living here,</strong> but after they destroyed my home that we worked so hard to build for years, and my only source of livelihood was destroyed, to save my daughter and wife.... All this forced me to evacuate. That is why I appeal to you, your friends and people of conscience who sympathize with humanity, to help us provide the necessary amount to find safety for our small family. May God protect you all."

<div><strong>Update Summer 2024 - The following was the original intended use for the funds:</strong> <em>Funds raised will be used to help Enas, their mother, Fady, and Ilana enter Egypt (at a cost of USD $7k per person, and $3k for Ilana as a baby), plus the necessary travelling fees, and a minimal sum to help them restart their life in Egypt. A small portion of the funds will also be used to cover any GoFundMe platform fees, and as they do not have access to an operational bank in Gaza, any Western Union fees. Funds will be deposited into my TD Bank account here in Canada, and then sent to them as we raise enough. In the meantime, Enas will be coordinating with the Egyptian Ya Hala Travel Company for their evacuation plans.</em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In this difficult time, thank you for extending your generosity a little bit further to help this small family. Any small amount you can give will make a real difference in supporting necessities for life and keep their hope alive.

Enas, Fady, and Baby Ilana's Future & Emergency Fund

<div>UPDATE JULY31,2025
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you to everyone who has stood by us: Youssef, Aya, Adam and our parents, until now. Truly, we would not have managed until now without you!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You were with us through displacement and medical issues, through forced scarcity and hunger. We love every one of you who has helped us survive until now.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As this campaign nears its goal, we wish to ask you to stay with us. Since the last financial assessment before Ramadan, prices have skyrocketed and so has the commission for cash withdrawl. We lose half of everything now just for cash, and then what we are able to purchase is limited and expensive.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We want to make our situation bearable and take care of ourselves. To date we have not been able to purchase the components for solar electricity, but this is a pressing need for us. Adam and Aya both developed severe skin allergies and my mother suffers from dry and irritated eyes. My father also has cancer and suffers from severe swelling in his feet. For these health reasons it is imperative for us to provide electricity for fans and a refrigerator for access to cold water to make compresses and cool the skin.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Beyond this. Our needs are survival. Food, medicine, fuel for fire, travel, and emergency displacement fund.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our new goal will include everything, and has been calculated to reflect the current prices in USD and withdrawl rate of 47% plus the comission.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are truly grateful to all of you and we hope you will support us in reaching this new goal.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The new target is 34,700 + 47% transfer fees and 3% chuffed fees (32,300) = 67,000 CAD
</div>
<div>♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
</div>
<div>This campaign supports a family of four—a journalist, his mother, his 27-year-old sister, and his 8-year-old brother—as they struggle to survive in G. We urgently need to raise 47,300 CAD to cover food, rent, medicine, dental care, and other essentials for the next six months. UPDATE: MAY 2025.
</div>
<div>....
</div>
<div>My name is Yousef, and I am a 27 year old photojournalist from G@za. I used to document life here, with all its beauty and hardships, but now my family and I have become part of the suffering I once captured through my lens. We lost our home due to the war, and I found myself responsible for protecting my little brother and older sister, alongside my mother, who is struggling with loss and pain.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our home, which once brought us together, has turned to rubble, and we are now homeless, trying to find a place to shelter us from the cold nights and fearful days. My little brother tries to escape our painful reality through drawing, spending his nights sketching by the light of an old phone, clinging to some shred of hope. As for my mother, she battles on, despite her sorrow for losing my father, trying to give us the strength to keep going.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am here asking for your help for my family, for my mother Fatima, my brother Adam (8) and my sister Aya (29), so we can find a new shelter to protect us, a place where we can rebuild the life that was destroyed. Any support from you, no matter how small, would be a ray of hope for us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Although we currently don’t have jobs, my sister and I spend time doing initiatives for the children in our camp. Aya teaches them art for their mental and emotional health, and I document the reality we live. We do everything we can to take care of our little brother Adam, and the children like him all around us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any donations we receive will help us buy the following items and allow us to survive the coming winter and for the next six months (until April):

</div>
<div>Transfer Fees (25%): In order to get cash in G@za, I need to transfer the money in my bank to merchants who have cash. Merchants ask for around 22%-25% as exchange fees. Therefore, the transfer costs come up to $3,470
</div>
<div>Go Fund Me Fees (4%) = $555.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We do not know what will happen in the coming days. We recently increased our goal to help cover the cost of treatment for my step-father who has cancer. Of course we would like to leave if we are ever allowed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have set the overall goal as 50k to cover the year and avoid any pause in the campaign. As well, the prices for everything increases with every day that the blockade continues.
</div>
<div>I receive funds through my friend Ashley Whittaker who runs my campaign. We met via social media when I reached out for help to start a campaign. We have now known each other for about one year and we talk daily. She has become my closest friend outside G@za. Ashley sends me money from her bank account with RBC in Canada, which receives the GFM funds, to mine with Bank of P@lestine, through international bank transfer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation, no matter how small, will help me through this difficult journey. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for any support, whether it’s through a donation or by sharing my story. You can follow our daily journey on Instagram:

Help Journalist Youssef & Family Survive

<div>Update:
</div>
<div>Urgent! The tally is up to 5 of our families that have been displaced without the ability to take their tents!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The cost of a tent for a large family is six hundred USD, and a smaller tent is three hundred USD.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With recent donations since the last set of transfers for flour, there is 495 available. I will be sending 200 to top up one family who has managed to fundraise the rest on their own, and 295 to top up another as soon as it is deposited into my account. I encourage everyone to keep donating as often as you can and to share this with your networks to reach the goal as soon as possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Update:
</div>
<div>Depending on the area, I am hearing the cost of a bag of flour is between 350-800 USD! It depends on the seller. Every single one of our families is trying to source food. The dream is a bag of flour. Because of the forced scarcity and complete blockade on goods, bags are not being split into smaller portions for sale anymore. It's a whole bag for extraordinary prices or nothing. Vegetables are rarely available. Even canned foods are becoming so scarce and are being sold at wild prices. My goal is to provide each family with at least $400 USD ASAP so that they can purchase flour that will last a while and can share with the people around them. Keep going, share the heck our of this campaign and donate as much as you can as often as you can. I appreciate every last one of your efforts!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Update:
</div>
<div>I am focused on 7 families right now. Since the situation has evolved over the past year and a half, I have come to know and love these families like my own. I have direct banking info for them all and will get donations to them this way. This fundraiser is meant to act as a pool for them, so that when they need funds (and all of them are in urgent need) they can get them quickly. It saves time and energy for all of us to work this way.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Right now, three of my families are stuck in red zones and need to get transportation. This is the priority. Getting them out of the most dangerous places. Everyone needs funds for food and water.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you to everyone who has contributed. Keep it up. Mutual Aid is the way forward, let's go.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This fundraiser is to assist people on the ground in P@l3st1n3 who have not had success with their own campaigns, who did not make it onto any of the master lists like OOB before they stopped intake, yet who are equally deserving of our attention and support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Like many of you, my dm's are absolutely overflowing with folks pleading for help, and as individuals we can only do so much for so many people, despite the desire to assist everyone. I am currently receiving approximately 20 messages a day from people asking for help!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The purpose of this campaign is to coalesce fundraising efforts for folks in Ghuzzah and manage the overwhelm of literally millions of people having to advocate for themselves under such dire circumstances. It is solely to take some pressure off of them and most importantly, to help them access basic needs as prices for healthy food and medicine have skyrocketed, and raise evacuation funds.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It takes so much effort and precious energy just for people to access the internet these days, let alone create, edit, and upload videos. It also costs roughly $10 per use for internet access! All of this under constant bombardment, sheer exhaustion, and grief upon grief!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It is our duty to provide relief where we are able, and bring some joy to as many as we can in these upside-down times. We can do more when we work together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>TRANSPARENCY:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Regular updates and screenshots of contributions to individuals will be made here for transparency and proof of donations.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Contributions to individual campaigns will be distributed in $100 amounts in the currency of their campaign.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Join me in this effort to sustain as many families as we can.
</div>
<div><br />

<div><strong>OUR STORY</strong>
</div>
<div>It's painful to say that we lost everything. But yes we did! We lost our beautiful home with all its memories, we lost our business, and we lost our life and dreams. We evacuated our home with only a small bag of clothes before it got bombed and destroyed. So technically YES we lost EVERYTHING, from the biggest to the smallest little detail.

</div>
<div><strong>HOW WILL WE USE THE MONEY ?!</strong>
</div>
<div>Your donations will give our family motivation to work hard for a new beginning.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We will use the money to reunite my family and evacuate temporarily to Egypt. My parents left Gaza for medical treatment in Gaza one day before the war. Your donations will help our family reunite with my parents (Jowan, Hani and Zaid’s grandparents), and evacuate all of us temporarily until we can return home to Gaza in the future. I wish to offer my family a decent life, after months of suffering and struggling in these inhuman situations.

</div>

</div>
<div>Our dear friends, this is not an obligation, no one is taking advantage of you emotionally for your support. We don't use our people to get your sympathy. We are just stating our own true personal story, hoping and believing in your support.

<div>Please help Tanner rescue Joy the elephant.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We found this young elephant abandoned in the woods, just chained to a tree. She was a logging elephant, but her logging harness rubbed a huge mass into her side, which forced her into an early retirement. So, her owner has abandoned her out in the middle of the woods. She is chained to a tree, stuck out there all day and night by herself. It's super sad.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The good news is that we tracked down her owner and made a deal with him to buy her freedom at a heavily discounted price due to her medical issues. Plus, her owner just wants to get out of the elephant business itself.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If we secure the funds to buy her freedom, we can move her to Mandalao Elephant Rescue. There, she will have 300 acres to roam chain-free. She will never be put in chains again, and she will never be hit with a bull hook again. She will simply get to live out the rest of her days as a happy elephant.

<div>Dear Supporter,

</div>
<div>My name is Sarah Barzak, a Malay-Palestinian living in Canada. I am reaching out to you for support in getting my cousin and his family out of Gaza to Egypt.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My Baba was born and raised in Gaza. My Teta (grandmother) was exiled to Gaza in 1948 from Yafa. My grandfather is ancestrally from Gaza. This is where the majority of Baba's family lives. In October, my family members evacuated from the north to the south. They have been internally displaced several times and are seeking refuge in Egypt.

<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am raising $40 000 CAD ($29 200 USD) to support their evacuation and resettlement fees. My family members have lost their livelihoods and are in need of financial support to safely evacuate and resettle. The average cost of evacuation to Egypt is $6850-9600 CAD ($5000-7000 USD) per person. This amount doesn’t include resettlement expenses such as rent, food, clothing, medicine — money they will need to survive.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for your generous support and solidarity. I will be responsible for handling the funds and will do so with diligence and care. I thank you for trusting me.

Gaza Family Evacuation Fund

<div>My name is Hanae Boutayeb, I live in France, and I am launching this fundraiser on behalf of my friend who lives in Gaza. Her name is Amani.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The purpose of this fundraiser is to provide financial assistance to Amani’s family for a humanitarian evacuation. The funds will be used to cover the fees to cross to Egypt (estimated to 5000$ per person).
</div>
<div>The family includes 18 members; however, the priority will be for members with special health conditions (part of the donations will be used to ensure medicines).
</div>
<div>Thanks in advance for all your donations and support for Amani’s family. Hopefully we will help them to reach safety after months of endless horrors and cruelty.

<div>On 13th of Oct:
</div>
<div>Me and my family were sleeping, suddenly the roof fell on our heads, we were under the rubble, screaming in pain injured and no air to breath. I couldn’t find my husband, my kids. I was horrified and couldn’t think of a way-out. Thankfully after three hours we were out injured through fire, bombardment and dead bodies all over our destroyed building. We were saved but we couldn’t get any of our belongings. When we were at the hospital we received a call to evacuate to the south of Gaza, so we were forced to leave to Khan Younis where we spent 80 days of horror and starvation, then the bombardment and the killing increased in Khan Younis so we were forced to leave to Rafah where we are living now in a tent with bare minimum of access to water, food or the minimum basic needs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have three daughters and one son “Rama 14, Dana12, Mohammad 8 and Jumana 5yrs.” They used to be very brilliant at school, but now they are devastated and scared to die at any moment.
</div>
<div>Moreover, I’m suffering from diabetes and nerves diseases and I’m in a lack of medication and medical care.
</div>
<div>My brother Abd Alrahman 37 yrs. who I mentioned before was bombed when he heard a nearby bombardment, he went to help his neighbors and victims, but he didn’t know that he will be the victim.
</div>
<div>He was killed and left three little boys” Omar 8, Deya 6 and Mahmoud 3 yrs.” and a wife “Alaa 29 yrs.” She’s suffering from heart disease with lack of medication. They are still in the north of Gaza and can’t escape from there. They are living a very harsh days and forced to leave their house to live in schools and tents.

<div>They escaped to Al-Nuseirat camp and lived in a small tent for 53 days with no basic needs. When the bombardment increased and he almost lost his son, he escaped to Rafah to live in a tent.

<div>My brother has a creative daughter, her name’s Batool “10 yrs.”, she loves drawing and she’s good at it, she hoped to live a normal safe life and to be an artist in the future, but because of the war in Gaza she doesn’t think she will stay alive. She said she keeps drawing to express her fear and her drawings might show others what she feels if she’s bombed.

Amani's family needs our help and support to evacuate Gaza

<div>On Sunday, March 24, our dear friend Gregory Conway was involved in a serious car accident - a head-on collision with another vehicle. Luckily, he was airlifted in good time to St Mike's Hospital in Toronto for trauma care.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Greg suffered multiple fractures and internal injuries from the impact, and received several surgeries for the fractures and bleeding. Greg has been kept sedated and is on a breathing tube to regain his strength. This past week we have been getting positive news from his family, that he is starting to be responsive. Right now he is unable to receive visitors, but we will give an update when that changes.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>We don't know how long it will take for Greg to be back on his feet, let alone back to work. With his family's blessing, I have set up this GoFundMe to help cover some of his expenses during what could be a very difficult period of recovery for him.
