<div>Karen is located in Palembang, Indonesia and is a single mother raising 2 small children on extremely low pay. But she has a huge heart for saving animals and she is sheltering at least 102 animals that she lovingly and without hesitation cares for. They consist of:

<div>With her low income and the large number of animals in her care, it is extremely difficult for her to keep up the house they all live in, the children’s health, her own health (she’s been ill most of last year). She doesn’t have a steady job and grows vegetables in her garden to sell at the market to bring in any money to feed the kids and animals. Obviously this does not sustain the food, medical care and supplies needed to properly care for every soul under her roof.

<div>She has a very small following on her Instagram account called @ananthapets where she documents the animals’ (mostly the cats’) situation. There’s been repeat virus outbreaks affecting many of the cats (with at least 10 died in the last 2 months) and other illnesses like cold, flu, pneumonia have hit the animals hard. Without regular donations, there’s no way to get ahead of their health like doing vaccinations, flea treatments and the such. It’s difficult enough to raise enough just for food, let alone supplies like litter and cleaning products.

<div>This is where it would be such a blessing if people opened their hearts to become monthly donors. It can be done for as little as $5 through her Gofundme. If many helped, it would not be such a burden for the small handful of people who help her when it’s unbearable to turn away.

<div>This GFM will hopefully help Karen with all the expenses she has to keep these animals alive and healthy and possibly repair her home. There are holes in the roof, no air circulation, no proper heating and cooling. These  renovations would improve all of their lives.

<div>Hello! This is Big Boi - a beloved community cat who was trapped in January at a Gowanus colony to get some dental work. Some of you might remember him from a previous fundraiser.

<div>Since his dental work, he's been staying with a foster and enjoying life off the street. He's loving getting pets from his devoted caretaker, has started making biscuits, and has even learned to play!
</div>

</div>
<div>However, he's not fully out of the woods yet. Due to many years on the street, we've discovered he has chronic ear infections from an ear mite infestation and polyps in his ear that need to be removed and biopsied in case they are cancerous.
</div>

<div>As such, we are asking for some funding for his next procedure, which will cover all of the things mentioned above.
</div>

<div>Anything helps! We want to get this sweet boy all fixed up so he can thoroughly enjoy his new life off the street.

Support Big Boi’s Journey to Health

<div>We are Belladonna &amp; Friends, an all-volunteer, grass roots animal rescue group committed only to saving suffering kittens and cats from the tough streets of NYC.

<div>The animal suffering on our streets is such an epidemic that our city recently held an all day public council meeting, where we rescuers could verbalize the endless stress, pressure and sadness that we are constantly under. We are all alone. No transport, no help, no low cost spay neuter spots. So who ultimately suffers?

<div>The homeless animals.

</div>
<div>Our rescue keeps plugging along, trying to be efficient, find great homes, and go help more. 
</div>

<div>But we are not just at our breaking point - we are well, well beyond it. We have 60 animals spread out in foster homes over 3 states and 4 boroughs. We are $14,000 in debt at our main vet, and personally owe lenders over $2,000.

<div>With no low cost ASPCA spots, we are paying over $250 per spay/ neuter. We currently have 29 cats and kittens to fix before adoption. You do the math .

<div>This fundraiser will either save our rescue, or our rescue will not continue. The 60 remaining cats at Juan’s colony, and the direly sick 19 at Roland’s colony, not to mention endless other requests, will not receive help.

<div>We have multiple colonies on our block and most of these cats have not been to the vet in years! Managing a cat colony can be very expensive. With very little resources from our city, the burden of caring for our friends outdoors lies on kind and selfless individuals.

<div>My friend GiGi is not feeling so good and has stage 3 dental disease, Boris went to the vet and he definitely needs a dental, Fluffy is not so fluffy anymore, Lewis is drooling which means his mouth is painful, and Sweetie is not feeling so sweet right now.

Help Melvin's Outdoor Cat Friends Get Vet Care

A group of Brooklyn volunteers have fed approximately two dozen cats on the Brooklyn waterfront. they have all been spayed and neutered, vaccinated; our volunteers feed them daily, with most of the food costs coming from their own pockets.
 
It’s time for us to get our cats back to the vet for check-ups, as it’s been about seven years since they’ve been to the vet. We’d like to update rabies, shots, to treat fleas and ear mites, and to check their teeth.
 
We know that our beautiful Cola recently had a swollen jaw. Nova has lost some weight, which concerns us.
 
We’d also like to assess them for friendliness; several of them show signs of enjoying human contact, and perhaps they’d like to give up the outdoor life and come inside.
 
Unlike fully socialized cats, our cats need to be sedated, and Ofcourse the vet care costs money. Thanks to the generosity of some local vets, we can lower the costs, but it will still cost about $150 per cat.
 
We love our colony cats, and we are grateful to the NYC DOT for allowing us to continue to care for them on city property.
 
If you are able to help us pay for vet care, we will gratefully accept your donation.
 
We are also happy to accept donations of food or cash, or payment directly to the veterinarians who so graciously and generously help us keep the cats healthy.

<div>On Saturday, April 15, 2023, our beloved friend, Łukasz Suchecki, passed away suddenly.

<div>As I begin to write these words, my heart is filled with pain and sorrow. Our beloved friend died unexpectedly, leaving behind his wife and two little daughters. This event shocked us all and leaves a huge void in our lives.
</div>

</div>
<div>On April 10, Łukasz celebrated his 42nd birthday. Sending him best wishes, we were unaware of what the future would bring. At that time, none of us expected that this would be the last time we would be able to celebrate with him.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Łukasz was an extremely caring husband and loving father. He always cared about his family and tried to help others. His smile and warmth lit up every room he entered. Everyone who had the opportunity to meet him knows how much he will be missed.
</div>

</div>
<div>In these difficult times, many people reached out asking how they could help. That's why we decided to create a fundraiser on the GoFundMe platform to support his wife and daughters with funeral expenses.

<div>Katya is suffering from a severe case of Rodent Ulcer and we need your help to save her!!!
</div>
<div>Katya is an outdoor community cat from Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. She lives on a block full of neighbors who provide food and shelter and watch over her. Her feeders noticed what looked like a large wound on her face that they thought was an injury. They immediately reached out to Nextdoor's local cat community to get her some help.
</div>
<div>She was given antiobiotic &amp; steroid injections to stabilize her condition. She will receive another injection of antibiotics on 4/17/23 and a 2nd steroid injection on 4/27/23.
</div>
<div>Once she heals, she will need a dental to remove all the teeth in the infected area.
</div>
<div>We do not know what the final outcome will be for this girl, if the ulcer will have permanently distorted her face. As is common with rodent ulcer, she does not appear to be in pain and is eating very well.
</div>
