My outdoor cat friends need your help.

When Moms bought our house in Brooklyn, she inherited a colony of 9 cats and made them a promise — she would take care of every single one of them.

We've honored that promise. But it hasn't been easy.

We've lost Clive, Momma, Pink Nose, Juanita, Fluffy, and most recently our sweet GiGi. Each one loved and cared for until the very end.

Three remain. Boris, Lewis and Crooked Tail. Oh and Henry has now joined the colony unofficially.

Boris just had a major dental — 8 molars pulled, 1 canine extracted, 2 crown amputations and 4 root extractions. At 14 years old and only 7 lbs, putting him under was scary. But he was in pain. And what kind of life is that? The bill was $1,678 — and we are so grateful he will finally be out of pain.

Crooked Tail is now hyperthyroid and will be on medication for the rest of her life with ongoing bloodwork needed.

Lewis is currently being treated for FIP — a serious illness requiring ongoing medication to prevent dangerous fluid buildup.

Over the last 3 years, 8 unneutered males have shown up and been fixed and given updated vaccinations. Bear, Stanley, Lionel and Arthur were friendly and found loving homes. Joey Bag of Donuts, Walter, Marty and Henry were feral and TNR'd — with the help of this fundraiser.

Every single one of them deserved a second chance. And every single one got one.

It costs approximately $650 per cat for updated medical care including FVRCP and rabies vaccinations, flea treatment and ear mite treatment — and significantly more if a dental is needed.

Managing a colony is expensive. With very little support from our city, the burden falls on kind and selfless individuals who simply refuse to look away.

That's what this fundraiser is for.

100% of donations go directly to vet care — for the colony, for the rescues, for every cat who needs it.

Vet care is expensive. Love is not. But it needs funding.
