 Following a recent break-in at Kilcoy Motocross Club, we are now faced with the task of rebuilding, repairing and restoring our club so we can return it to a safe and operational condition.

 The theft of copper and the damage caused during the break-in was the straw that broke the camel’s back for a club that has already been working through significant challenges behind the scenes.
</div>

</div>
<div>
 Kilcoy Motocross Club has been part of our community for more than 40 years. It is more than a track. It is a place where families come together, kids learn, friendships are made and generations of riders have grown up in the sport.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Our club also contributes to the wider Kilcoy community.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Throughout the year, Kilcoy MX attracts riders and their families from across Queensland, around Australia and, at times, internationally. Race weekends bring visitors into our town, with families staying locally, eating locally, shopping locally and experiencing everything our community has to offer.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 For a small town, having a community sporting facility capable of attracting visitors from such a wide area is something worth protecting.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 We are working hard to rebuild the club for the remainder of 2026 and, importantly, establish a strong and sustainable foundation for the 2027 season.
</div>

 To do that, we need your help.
</div>

 Funds raised through this appeal will be used for the essential repairs, maintenance, safety works, equipment and improvements required to restore and operate Kilcoy Motocross Club and its facilities for the benefit of our members, riders, families, volunteers and the wider community.

 So far, we have identified the following areas requiring support:

 * Security upgrades and improvements

 * PA system repairs and updates

 * Repair or replacement of damaged infrastructure

 * General clean-up and site maintenance
</div>

 * Equipment and supplies required to operate the club
</div>

 * Works required to prepare the facilities and track for future race days and community events
</div>

 * Other necessary repairs, maintenance, safety or operational costs identified as we continue rebuilding

 And that is only the beginning.

 We are working through the club’s financial position and the work required to get Kilcoy MX back on its feet to host our community again.
</div>

 As the rebuilding process continues, priorities may change as urgent repairs, safety requirements and operational needs are identified. Funds will therefore be applied to the club’s community sporting purposes and the works required to restore, maintain and operate the facility.
</div>

 If the appeal raises more funds than are required for any particular repair or item listed above, remaining funds will be directed towards other necessary club repairs, maintenance, safety, equipment, facility improvements or operational requirements consistent with the purpose of this appeal.

 We know times are tough, and we don’t take asking for help lightly.

Help Get Kilcoy Motocross club Back on Track

<div>Hey all, I’m here to help raise some money for Matt’s recovery.
</div>
<div>His ongoing injury has taken its toll on him in so many ways, some financial help will hopefully take some stress off him and his family.
</div>
<div>With medical bills and amputation of his foot in the coming weeks there will be some big expenses to deal with, including regular hospital visits, psych appointments, prosthetics and much more.
</div>

<div>As many of you know Matt has been in recovery with his lower leg broken into several pieces for almost 12 months now, making it impossible to earn a living and has sadly all but shut his small business down that he worked so hard for. 
</div>

Smittys road to recovery

<div>Hi my name is Eliese, I never would normally do this but desperate times call for desperate measures. 
</div>
<div>Joel has been through hell and back since July 2024. He initially had knee surgery in July, 3 weeks after feel violently ill and ended up passing out from lack of oxygen, later we found out from sever pneumonia. He was admitted to hospital for almost 2 weeks. He has not been the same ever since. he Has lost his quality of life, can’t work, ride his bike, lift anything, is struggling drastically with his mental state, and is constant chronic pain. he is on a ridiculous amount of pain killers. He has ongoing medical costs and we are to put it bluntly struggling big time!

<div>When he passed out he fell directly on his head and has compressed his c4 through to his c7, he has sever nerve damage which has resulted in over 60% loss of function and muscle wastage in his right dominate arm. We have been to numerous doctors and numerous specialist to see what can be done to help get him back to his normal functioning life. Our last resort is spinal surgery. Which is very risky but his only option. This surgery is $27000 obviously with Joel not being able to work over the last few months and all our medical bills stacking up, this amount is extremely hard for us to get to!

<div>our insurance will cover a portion but we still have a long recovery period ahead of us and ongoing medical costs until we get him hopefully back to normal. 
</div>
<div>we are on a time restraint to get the surgery done as there is a chance his nerves can die and he be stuck the way he is for the rest of his life. This is our one and only chance to try and get Joel back his quality of life so I ask if anyone can spare anything all to help us in this difficult time I would truely appreciate any help we can get. If you know Joel he would never ask anyone for help but would be the first one to stand up and help any one in need. So I am swallowing our pride on behalf of both of us and asking if anyone can help in any way it would mean the absolute world to us and will hopefully help Joel get his life back. ❤️

<div>My sister Carly’s story began around 6 months ago where she had chronic back and stomach pain. Drs appointments after drs appointments and scans she was no closer to finding out what was wrong .

<div>Carly had to resign from her full time job as the pain was unbearable for her to function in every day life .

<div>Just over 3 weeks ago Carly was taken to hospital via ambulance and testing began after a week or so she had her glands tested in the neck and was given the heart breaking news she had stage 4 cancer . 
</div>

<div>Further scans and scans and they have found cancer in the lungs and suspect this is not the primary spot, possibly this could be a hidden cancer. 
</div>

<div>The prognosis for this is not something anyone would like to hear especially when you’re 37 and have so much more to do in this life . 
</div>

<div>Carly has been robbed of many heathy years with her beautiful children 17,11 and 4 with a mortgage hanging over her head, bills and hospital expenses adding up I’ve decided to do go fund me page to help ease the financial pressure

Fighting for her life with stage 4 cancer

* PLEASE READ UPDATES*<br />On Tuesday this family had devastating news that Peter (Cookie) has a Brain Tumour. Peter is 29 years old has a wife Chloe and three beautiful children Ava, 4, Chaz 2 and Reed 10 months old.   Cookie is my Son in law.<br />  <br />Cookie is the bloke that would give you the shirt off his back if he thought it would help you. His always there to lend a hand if needed but would never ask for anything in return. <br /><br />Cookie has had his first surgery Thursday and will need extensive treatment. <br /><br />With Cookie or Chloe not being able to return to work we want to ease the pressures of running a household  so Cookie can focus on his recovery. Due to Covid in Victoria we can’t phyically be there to support them, and many people have been asking what can we do to help so this is why I have set this fund up.  Cookie and Chloe will not want this posted, however, I’m doing this because I know they always help others where they can and now it’s time for us to help them. <br /><br />Any donation, no matter how small, will make a huge difference to this beautiful family.<br /><br />THANK YOU
