I’m raising funds for my husband, David May, after his passing. Our family is heartbroken and feeling lost as we try to process this loss and face the immediate need to give David a funeral.

We do not think David had a life insurance policy, and that uncertainty has made this even harder. Right now, we are in desperate need of support to cover his funeral expenses so we can honor his life and lay him to rest.

Any funds not used will be donated to the Southern Nash marching band in David’s memory.

Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean so much to our family during this painful time. If you are not able to give, sharing this fundraiser would also help us greatly. Thank you for standing with the May family and helping us give David the funeral he deserves.

David May Funeral Support

I'm fundraising for my adult son, Julian. In 2020, Julian suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm and is now 100% disabled. My husband and I care for him 24/7, and one of our biggest ongoing needs is safe, reliable transportation.

A few years ago, with help from family, we raised a few thousand dollars and put it toward a handicap-accessible van. That van helped us for a long time, but it is now literally falling apart. We are pushing it along as best we can, and because of its condition, dealers will not even take it as a trade-in.

This van is not a luxury for Julian. He depends on it for therapy and doctor visits. We live in Florida, and unlike when we were in Pennsylvania, disabled ride options like Uber or Lyft are not available to us here. The van is also what allows Julian to come with us for groceries, trips to the mall, and time out of the house. Those outings are important for stimulation and social connection, and they help us do something together as a family.

What makes this especially urgent is that the van no longer feels safe. Sometimes we travel to Miami for therapy, and it is scary to think about breaking down with Julian with us. We are asking for help so we can put the funds toward a down payment or, ideally, the cost of a replacement handicap-accessible van.

If you are able to donate or share this fundraiser, it would mean so much to our family. Your support will help Julian get to the care he needs and continue having the outings that bring him comfort, stimulation, and connection.

A Safe Van for Julian

Maria is my coworker and a dear friend who is facing an incredibly challenging chapter in her life. Her loved one was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and is now in hospice care. Maria has been unable to work as she manages her household and provides care for her parents, who are both in their 90s. The emotional and physical toll of these responsibilities has been immense, and she is doing everything she can to keep her family together during this difficult time.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward helping Maria with living expenses, medical bills, and the ongoing support her family needs. With so much on her plate, Maria is struggling to make ends meet, and your generosity can help ease some of the burdens she faces. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in her life and allow her to focus on caring for her loved ones. Maria lost her sister March 12, 2026 as her sister had been battling with cancer also. Her and her husband has been married 37 years. Please donate if able and share this gofundme me.

My friend needs emotional, financial, and loving support right now. Please, let's come together and lift her up. We all need someone to lean on sometimes, and Maria needs someone to lean on in this chapter of her life. My heart goes out to her and her family. If you can, please reach out and help. Any amount is better than none, and your kindness will mean the world to Maria and those she cares for. Maria is one of the strongest women I have ever met. My heart breaks for her and her family.

My name is Sarah Stoltman and I am writing on behalf of my stepson Christian Dougan. He has created this account and I have helped to write everything because he should not have to.

On the morning of April 6th, Christian woke up to the devastating news that his beautiful wife and four amazing children were involved in a horrific accident, while on their way to meet him in Florida.

While Christian works with his and Reagan's family to begin mourning these five beautiful souls, we cannot even fathom the financial burden it is going to endure moving his family from Georgia to their final resting place in Florida.

In loving memory of Reagan and the children, we invite friends, family, and anyone that feels it in their heart, to contribute to help cover the funeral expenses and ensure a dignified farewell. As we navigate this difficult time, your support will help us honor Reagan and the children's lives and legacy. Any contribution, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated. We are grateful for your kindness and for standing by us during this sorrowful time. Thank you for your love and generosity.

Update Feb 17, 2025- On Feb 15th, NCOA and the RAD Relief Fund sponsored a riverside vigil. The community came together to grieve and say goodbye frie

ds, family, and neighbors. The vigil was followed by a dessert-palooza and raffel at the Bradshaw Fire Department. Thank you for your continued support.

Update Jan 28, 2025- A portion of the funds have been distibuted to approved applicants. Please continue to support our efforts and donate! Thank you!

UPDATE Jan 12, 2025 - $269,000 has started to be distributed to local families. THANK YOU! We have increased our goal, so please continue to donate so NCOA can further help more families. Remember, every little bit helps.. $5, $10, $20... it all adds up!

NC Outdoor Adventures is organizing this fundraiser to support the northern end of Mitchell County. NCOA has run a small adventure company in Mitchel County for over 10 years. NCOA has created a non profit organization, Resilient Appalachia Disaster Relief Fund, to recieve these donations, and will distribute funds via an application process throughout the communities along the Toe River, including Green Mountain, Red Hill, Huntdale, Tipton Hill, Pigeon Roost, Poplar, and Relief areas. These areas have been cut off from the outside due to washed-out roads and mudslides. The N. Toe River rose over 35 feet and devastated the area. The swinging bridge is gone, and the tunnel under the railroad tracks is half full of mud, and the mud continues up the road.

It is unsafe to travel into the area, so we plan to use the funds locally and give directly to the people in the area. So much is needed to get things back to resembling 'normal'. Your donation doesn't need to break the bank. NCOA has over 18K followers, so imagine if each one donated $5. That would get us to 90% of our goal!!!

You may contact NCOA via Facebook. Their communications are limited, so please be patient for an answer. Christy has started posting updates and videos of the area. This has been truly heartbreaking, not only as an outsider seeing the news but also the feeling of helplessness since we are unable to get into the area to help right now. Please help any way you can.

In Loving Memory of Kiera and Zoey

Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate Supporters,

It is with unimaginable grief that we share the heartbreaking news of the tragic loss of Kiera and her beloved child, Zoey. They were both taken from us far too soon in a senseless act of domestic violence. This devastating event has left their family, friends, and our community in deep sorrow as we struggle to comprehend the magnitude of this loss.

Kiera was a devoted mother, a cherished friend, and a pillar of strength for all who knew her. Zoey, her bright and innocent child, brought joy and love into the lives of everyone they met. The bond they shared was unbreakable, and their loss leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who loved them.

As we navigate this incredibly difficult time, we are reaching out to our community for support. The unexpected costs of arranging funerals for both Kiera and Zoey have placed a significant financial burden on the family, who are already grappling with the profound emotional impact of this tragedy.

We are asking for your help to ensure that Kiera and Zoey receive the dignified and loving farewell they deserve. Your generous donations will go directly toward covering funeral expenses and any additional costs as we honor their memory. Their aunt, Karen Massenburg, is the designated beneficiary and will be managing the funds to help the family during this challenging time.

No contribution is too small, and every bit of support will make a meaningful difference. If you are unable to donate, we kindly ask that you share this page with others who may be able to help.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion and support during this heartbreaking time.
