 <strong>Help Support Jewell Sherrer Through Her Life-Changing Surgery</strong>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 We are asking for your support, as Jewell Sherrer faces one of the biggest challenges of her life.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Last year, Jewell was diagnosed with Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP), a rare inherited condition that causes hundreds to thousands of polyps to develop in the colon and puts her at an extremely high risk of developing colorectal cancer.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 In January, Jewell had her first colonoscopy, and we found out she had hundreds of precancerous polyps in her colon. We were told she could wait about 2-3 years for her surgery. Then, in June, we got a second opinion and Jewell had a second colonoscopy. The precancerous polyps had grown from hundreds to a couple thousand in just 5 months. This time, we were told she needed surgery within 6 months, before the polyps became cancerous.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 <strong>After meeting with her surgical team, Jewell has made the difficult but necessary decision to undergo major surgery to protect her future and give herself the best chance at a long and healthy life. On October 27th, she will undergo surgery to remove her entire colon and will begin a new chapter of life with an ileostomy bag.</strong>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 <strong>While this surgery is a necessary step in preventing cancer and protecting her health, it comes with a long recovery, emotional challenges, and lifestyle changes. It also comes with significant medical expenses. Even though Jewell has health insurance, it unfortunately does not cover a lot of her medical bills. The hospital stay, medications, supplies for her ileostomy, follow-up appointments, travel expenses, time away from work, and the unexpected costs that come with a major life change all go far beyond what insurance will cover.</strong>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 This journey has been overwhelming, and we are asking for help as we prepare for everything ahead.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Anyone who knows Jewell knows the kind of person she is. She is loving, caring, strong, and always willing to help others. Even while facing this diagnosis, she continues to show incredible courage and resilience. Now, we are asking our friends, family, and community to stand beside her.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference and help take some of the financial stress away so Jewell can focus on healing. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with others would mean just as much to us.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 We are incredibly grateful for every kind word, prayer, donation, and share. Your support will remind Jewell that she does not have to face this journey alone.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Thank you for standing with us as we fight for Jewell's health and future.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 With love and gratitude,
</div>

Support Jewell's Life-Changing Surgery Journey

<div>Hi, my name is Catherine Schetina, and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Eva Woods. I have known Eva for more than a decade. At the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, Eva immediately realized that services for the unhoused residents of Los Angeles would suffer as resources were cut and organizations shuttered.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She took matters into her own hands. We are now in our sixth year of the MacArthur Project – a mutual aid collective run entirely by volunteers. We provide more than 700 meals each week to the unhoused and housing insecure residents of MacArthur Park, Los Angeles, and over the past six years we’ve built incredibly powerful relationships within our communities. We’re there three days a week – Sunday lunch, Monday lunch, and Thursday breakfast. We also host monthly events and supply drives, distributing hygiene kits, grocery items, tents, shelter supplies, medical supplies, and so much more. We actively partner with the people we serve, and strive to bring them the items they tell us they need most.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Eva’s full time job is planning, executing, and responding rapidly to the needs of our unhoused neighbors. She’s been doing it incredibly well for six years now, and is supported by a generous community on Patreon that allows this to be her full time job. But today we’re asking for more help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>During our regular lunch service on Sunday 2/22, a woman came through the park with a metal pipe. Without conversation, she came up behind Eva and hit her in the jaw. Eva was taken to the hospital and had surgery the following day on her upper and lower jaw, both of which were broken. Her jaw is wired shut for the next four weeks, and then she’ll be able to get dental implants to replace the six teeth she lost.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This woman, and this incident, are not representative of the culture of MacArthur Park and the community we serve there. She is not someone we’ve met in the past, and others in the park weren’t familiar with her. This was absolutely a bizarre one off, and we would truly hate for the people who rely on us, and who we have built such incredible relationships with over the past six years, to suffer as a result of this single woman’s actions. Eva is healing well and will be back in the park as soon as possible. In the meantime, we need your help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Eva was able to cover the hospital stay and surgery costs, but the projected cost of the dental implants is $30,000. Any amount you can contribute to help her cover those fees would be deeply appreciated. Eva is the most community-minded person I know, in addition to being an incredible mom to her daughter, Stella Price. She has taught me, and everyone who volunteers with us, the true definition of serving others. She is an unstoppable force of nature, but right now, she needs our help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We will continue to share updates and disclose exactly how the money is broken down in paying for the implants. The current projections are as follows –
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Individual Implants: 6 x $4,250 = $25,500
</div>
<div>Consultation: $200
</div>
<div>Flipper: $1000
</div>
<div>Scans/X-Rays: $1000
</div>
<div>Lab Fees: $500
</div>
<div>Anesthesia: $1500
</div>
<div>Medications: $100
</div>
<div>Grafting/Misc: $200
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>PROJECTED TOTAL: $30,000
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you so much for your time, and please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With love,
</div>

Support A Community Leader's Recovery

<div><strong>Do you know what it’s like to watch your family starve? I do.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Hani Almadhoun, and my family and friends live in the North of Gaza, Palestine. Most aid is being blocked at the border, and there isn’t nearly enough to fight back the famine or save my loved ones. So we decided to do something about it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/72608719_1709272870853334_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My brother, Mahmoud Almadhoun, and his friends volunteered to start a soup kitchen in Bait Lahia, to provide hot meals to friends and neighbors. They bought four large pots, purchased wood for the fire, and risked their lives to dig up potatoes. They also purchased tomato paste and cooking oil, and three hours later, 120 families had food for the day. The next day 150 starved families ate from the kitchen.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Word spread rapidly, and the next day, even more neighbors arrived. Mahmoud sprang into action, venturing out to procure ingredients for a fresh meal. He returned with leafy greens, onions, and mushrooms, crafting a new dish that was as delightful as it was nourishing. The kitchen's capacity has now expanded to accommodate meals for up to 3000 people daily, and the numbers continue to grow. For many, this was their first substantial meal in days, and the departure from canned food was a welcomed change that filled hearts with gratitude.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/72608719_1709300286167748_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You may wonder why these individuals can accomplish something that few have managed to do in the heart of starvation in Gaza. That would be a fair question.
</div>
<ul>
<li>First, Bait Lahia has some farms where veggies and wild greens are now in season.
</li>
<li>We made sure they had the money to purchase these hard-to-find items.
</li>
<li>Additionally, they are located in the heart of the market, so they can easily spot any of these veggies and cooking essentials arriving at the market.
</li>
<li>They have also visited farms close to the Green Line to find veggies and have been lucky a few times. Once, they purchased overgrown zucchinis that should have been picked weeks ago.
</li>
<li>Mom and my sisters lovingly wake up early to peel and prep the food for the day's meals.
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/72608719_1709300327534481_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Your assistance can help us bring sustenance to an area with minimal aid, where children face the harsh reality of starvation.</strong> This personal initiative, coordinated with our family in North Gaza, ensures transparency. Your contribution, starting at five dollars, can provide a hot meal to desperate families enduring challenging conditions, intentionally isolated from the rest of the world.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your $5, $10, $50 will go a long way with this initiative. We also need you to pray for their safety as they do this heroic work.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The funds from GoFundMe will be transferred to this crew in Gaza to make sure they still do this work.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />

<div>My name is Tameatra Hillstock, I am creating this fund on behalf of my mom Christine Robinson who lost her home 01/08/25 during the Eaton Canyon Fire in Altadena, CA.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My mom was born in Pasadena in 1950 and moved to Altadena August 1971 where my mom and dad raised all of their children. My mom has been a Cosmetologist who worked in the Community for over 45 years.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My mom left her home Tuesday night with the clothing on her back and the extra outfit thinking she would return the next day. The next day we found out the fire has burned the house to the ground. She has lost everything.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We ask for your thoughts and prayers as she maneuvers through this difficult time. We are seeking support to cover unexpected cost to get back on her feet. All donations will go to living expenses, clothes, and personal items lost in the fire.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In advance, we truly appreciate all the support given.
</div>

Help Christine recover from the Eaton Canyon fire

<div>The home I grew up in fell victim to the Eaton fire, leaving us with nothing but memories of our childhood, ashes and the steps to our front door. My nana (grandmother) left behind three small girls (my mother and aunts) when she migrated here from El Salvador. Like most immigrant families, she came here in hopes of being able to work towards providing her daughters with a better life. She moved to Los Angeles and worked cleaning houses and selling fruit until she gathered enough money to buy a house in Altadena. This home has been the heart of our family and a symbol of our journey and resilience. It was not only a two family household but also over the years a home to our cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and anyone who needed a place to stay. We have been truly blessed to have experienced the warmth that this home has provided for our family. As we cope with the loss of our home, we are asking for your help. No contribution is too small, and any amount is appreciated.

<div>Dear kind-hearted friends, family and community,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am reaching out on behalf of my L.A. friend Cathy Hue, a devoted single mom to her 10-year-old daughter Phoebe and their beloved dog, Sunray. The recent Eaton Canyon fire destroyed not only their home but their entire neighborhood.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While we are grateful that Cathy, Phoebe, and Sunray are safe, the road ahead is uncertain and unstable. The funds will be transferred directly to Cathy and used to recreate the things that mattered most to them, such as all of the handmade items she and Phoebe have created over the years. As well as any funds needed for therapy, healing and trauma recovery support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We all know Cathy as a warm, giving, and resilient person who always thinks of others over herself and even initially asked others to donate to our childrens' school, church and LAFD instead of herself. I personally met Cathy through a local mom's group and have known each other for around 6 years. Thankfully, she is accepting our help to start anew.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation, no matter how small, will bring Cathy and her family closer to finding stability and comfort after this devastating loss. Your support will provide them with hope and the means to rebuild their lives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Let’s come together to support Cathy, Phoebe, and Sunray in this time of need. If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign with your network is another wonderful way to help.

Support Cat, Phoebe & Sunray After Eaton Wildfire

<div>My name is Andrew Halff, and our group of friends and family are reaching out with a heavy heart, seeking your support for our dear friend <strong>Richard Conti</strong>. Like many of us, Richard was born and raised in the Pacific Palisades, and, like many of us, his life has been turned upside-down by this horrible catastrophe.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For the past few years, Richard has been living in his grandmother's converted ADU in the Palisades—a home she purchased in the early 1970s. He has worked as a camera assistant with Local 600, but the challenges brought on by COVID-19, industry strikes, and production slowdowns have left his finances stretched thin.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When the fires struck, Richard evacuated with his mother and grandmother, who, at 100 years of age, requires a large oxygen tank and a full-time caretaker. Since then, he has been bouncing between various relatives' homes, trying to stick together with his family during this difficult time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Tragically, Richard's grandmother's entire home and ADU, along with all of their possessions, were lost in the fire. Among what was lost were all of his camera gear, handyman tools, and music equipment. He, like most of us, never thought that any wildfire would reach them on the last block of the Alphabet Streets.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are asking for your assistance to <strong>help Richard get back on his feet.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Richard wanted to share that on a positive note, before evacuating, he managed to grab his mother’s classical guitar—the one she bought at Palisades Music Shop in 1970. It’s the only possession that he has left that will always remind him of his mother and the original town of the Palisades that is now seemingly lost.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for considering supporting Richard's journey as he recovers from this loss. Your generosity means the world to him and all of us.

Support Richard Conti's Recovery from the Palisades Fire

<div>Hi, my name is Erin Lansdown, and I never thought I’d be creating a GoFundMe for my family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We recently lost our family home in the Eaton fires in Altadena—a home that has been a cornerstone of our lives for generations. Originally purchased by my grandparents, this architectural gem was where my mom and aunt grew up, where my mom and dad moved over a decade ago to restore and preserve its beauty, and where so many of our cherished memories were made.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It was more than just a house—it was where my husband and I got married, where my brother and I spent time with our grandmother, and where we gathered for countless Christmases, Thanksgivings, and family and friend celebrations.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While we are devastated by the loss of irreplaceable things like photos, my grandfather’s artwork, and family heirlooms, we are also committed to helping my family move forward during this incredibly difficult time. These funds will go toward needs, for anything not covered by Federal support or insurance.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We understand there are many who have been impacted by these tragic fires, which are still ongoing, and are incredibly supportive if your funds go toward supporting other causes like the LAFD, Red Cross, and others who are tirelessly working to combat the fires and assist those in need. If you're able, we deeply appreciate any contribution you can make.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for your generosity, kindness, and support.

</div>
<div><strong>Eaton Canyon Fire</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hello, our names are Clarissa &amp; Marissa Belombre, and we’re from Altadena, California. On the morning of January 7, 2025, tragedy struck our family when the Eaton Canyon Fire destroyed our home of over 20 years. The fire consumed everything, leaving my mother, Alice Roberts-Belombre, without shelter and taking with it her clothing, food, important documents, photos, her wedding ring, and countless irreplaceable memories.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>This home wasn’t just a structure; it was the heart of our family. It was where my sister and I grew up, where my parents built a life together, and where we held onto the legacy of my late father. Losing it has been a devastating blow, both emotionally and financially, and we are now facing an overwhelming journey of recovery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why I Am Raising Funds</strong>
</div>
<div><br />

</div>
<div>2.	Contributions toward rebuilding our family home.
</div>
<div>3.	Gas expenses for six months.
</div>
<div>4.	Food, including meals on the go and a restaurant budget for six months.
</div>
<div>5.	Clothing, shoes, jackets, and other necessities for six months.
</div>
<div>6.	Replacing prescriptions lost in the fire.
</div>
<div>7.	Acquiring lost documents and other essential items.

</div>
<div><br />

<div>This GoFundMe campaign is my way of ensuring she has the support she needs to navigate this overwhelming period.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Funds Will Be Raised and Delivered</strong>

<div><br />
</div>
<div>All funds raised through this campaign will be directly managed by mother (the official beneficiary of this fundraiser), to cover her immediate and long-term

Help Restore Davis Family's Historic Property

<div>Please Help Elderly Couple with Dependent Daughter After Devastating Fire
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Winston (78) and Catherine (70) Chappell have lost their family home of 35 years. Like many others, they left with only the clothes on their bodies and two boxes of family photos. Catherine and Winston are devoted parents who support their dependent daughter with disabilities and are still paying off a significant mortgage. Catherine, an artist, used their home as her professional studio and has lost her life’s work. Her ability to earn a living has been severely impacted. They are facing crippling financial hardship.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Chappells are selfless, loving people who were hoping to spend the rest of their lives in their beloved family home and community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are hoping to provide them with a fund to help support the extensive needs of their daughter, and help the Chappells get back on their feet during this impossible time.

Help Elderly Couple with Dependent Daughter after LA Fires

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hi all,
</div>
<div>I'm Ryo Goodman, and I am making this fundraiser for my family (my parents, Jenna and Robert Goodman) who have now just lost everything. <strong>My childhood home, the Altadena house that my family has called our home for 22 years now, has burned to the ground as a result of the devastating destruction of the Eaton Fire.</strong> My family only barely made it out in time late Tuesday night (Jan 7) with our cat Luna, but did not have the time to pack nearly anything. Their power had been cut at the time so they were scrambling in the dark, given a “threat to life” evacuation order. My mother managed to grab some important documents, a couple of mementos, and some clothes, but my father only made it out with the clothes on his back. Neither even fathomed that they would not be going back home or that this was goodbye. Everything else is gone. A home filled with a lifetime of memories, all of our family photos, my mothers portfolio and all of her paintings and art, our instruments, furniture, and family mementos and heirlooms, wiped out in one night. Just everything. Gone. <strong>This has left my parents homeless and not knowing what to do next.</strong> Anything you can do to help us is truly so, so appreciated. As of right now they are staying with friends, and may be able to get an Airbnb for a couple weeks but after that things aren’t sure. We have home insurance, but that won’t cover all of the costs of recovering from this disaster. Further adding to their struggle is that they have been put in a position where they need to care for my grandmother, who is elderly and infirm, and has high care needs. She was also displaced in the fires, as her care facility she was living in is also in Altadena. Funds will be used to help soften the recovery from this event and help us all restart our lives from scratch.
</div>
<div>Deep and profoundly loving blessings to all.
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/85537801_1736879043950666_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div>As of right now we have few images, but here are satellite pictures captured of our neighborhood before and after this horrific event.
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/85537801_1736847589720495_r.jpeg" width="100%" />

<div>Unfortunately, this is the same horror that our entire neighborhood, and so many family and friends are also facing. Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the devastation and heartbreak of the Eaton Fire and all other wildfires hurting Los Angeles, our home.

<div>Dear friends,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Sofia k. Dolas, my husband Thomas and our son Noah are residents of Pasadena CA.
</div>
<div>Alongside the other families of the 1st graders from the LILA school in Pasadena, we are coming together and raising funds in support of our dear friends and classmates who have tragically lost their homes in the Eaton fire.
</div>
<div>All of these 5 families (the R., the H., the B., the A. And the B., we decided collectively to keep their names private as they navigate this incredibly challenging time) have small children and had barely time to evacuate. Like many, they lost everything.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Those families have always been a part of what make our community special, kind, generous and always involved in helping others, today they need our help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every contribution, no matter the size will help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>These funds, which will be amongst the families, will assist with needs that are not covered by other sources of aid.
</div>
<div>Some of the funds will be used towards purchasing elements of comforts for the children (toys, books, backpacks…).
</div>
<div>If you aren't able to participate in the form of a donation, we will be grateful if you please consider sharing this post.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Let's come together to support those families.

Support 5 LILA Families Affected by Eaton Fire

<div>Hello, my name is Areya. My mother's house was recently burned down due the Eaton fire that burned through the city of Altadena. We've lived there for over 15 years and have nothing left. If you could please donate anything, it would be greatly appreciated.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you all for your donations. It really does mean so much to us
</div>

Your contributions will help us through this difficult time

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hey friends and family, I am Kayla Reed. Majoring in biology at Clark Atlanta University. On January 8, my mom Danielle Reed, my dad Karland Reed, my sister Payton, and I— lost our home and nearly all our possessions in the Eaton Fire in Altadena, California. We are safe. Sadly, we lost our 8 year old dog, Cali.
</div>
<div>My grandparents moved to Altadena more than 50 years ago and built their lives here, creating a home filled with love, memories, and traditions that were passed down to us. Losing our home on Norwic Place so suddenly has been very heartbreaking.
</div>
<div>Many have asked how they can help, and we're so grateful and beyond blessed for all the support. We are currently figuring out what we'll need. At this point we need everything. We are starting from scratch. Through this journey rebuilding our lives will take time and resources.
</div>
<div>If you'd like to contribute, this is one way to help us. Many have helped already— we truly appreciate everything. Please keep us in your prayers.
</div>
<div>Thank you for your kindness and love. We'll get through this together.
</div>
<div>With gratitude,
</div>
<div>Kayla

Support the Reed Family's Journey to Recovery

<div>My name is Emily Hall, and I'm asking for help for my beloved partner Taylor Marr as he prepares to start again from scratch.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Many of you have known Taylor far longer than I have; he has been working in the film and television industries and in theatres around the greater Los Angeles area since he moved here in 2004. I met him in 2020 in the wake of another catastrophe - the COVID pandemic - and I think I speak for everyone in his life when I say that he has brought so much to his communities through his friendship and camaraderie, his wicked sense of humor, his profound sense of community justice, and his immense talent and passion for both editing and performing. I am so proud to call him the love of my life and I want to do everything I can to support him in his time of need.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>On Tuesday, January 7th, just days after Taylor's birthday, the Palisades Fire began about three miles north of his home of five and a half years - which he had largely refurnished just two months prior and loved so dearly.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>After the ordeal of nearly having to flee on foot and finally escaping the neighborhood in hours of gridlock traffic, Taylor was able to evacuate with his dear cats, Caesar and Penny, to my home in Ventura, which thankfully is an hour west of LA and not impacted by the fires. We spent an anxious night watching the fire map like hawks, hoping for a miracle as the fire completely surrounded the area around his apartment, burning up the hillsides and homes to the north, south, east, and west.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>On Wednesday, January 8th, at around noon, Taylor received confirmation from his landlord that the entire apartment complex had burned to the ground, along with most of the city of Pacific Palisades.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/85629195_1736746687360235_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are processing this enormous and life-altering loss bit by bit; the years of memories we had in this beautiful home are still fresh in our minds, and we know that there are many stages of grief still to come.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Every dollar donated will go towards helping Taylor start over, as he prepares to find a new home for himself and our sweet babies Caesar and Penny.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Our hearts go out to our loved ones and LA community members who have also suffered losses, and all additional donations beyond what Taylor needs will be given to organizations in the Palisades, Altadena, and other communities affected by this historic disaster. </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you so much for your support and compassion. We are so grateful. ♥️

Help Taylor Start Again After the Palisades Fire

<div>Hello,
</div>
<div>I'm Sandy Ganzer and I'm raising funds for my father, Jim Ganzer and my stepmother, Louise, who lost their house in the devastating Palisades fire. My father owned the house since the 1980's. It was the home that I grew up in, the home I raised my own son in, and the source of countless formative memories.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It is hard to understate what they've lost. The house and Jim's work studio were both completely leveled, taking everything they owned with it. They left in such a hurry even essential items like Louise's purse, the deed to the house, and their passports were left behind. The time and cost of replacing these items is immense, and on top of that they have to try support themselves while trying to figure out a long term living situation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Jim is a retired artist, too old to work, and even suffered a stroke just last month.
</div>
<div>Louise is still working but has to put her money towards the mortgage on the house - which they are expected to continue paying despite it no longer standing.
</div>
<div> These funds will go directly to Jim and Louise to support them in any unmet needs not covered by other disaster relief aid. We thank you so very much for any help you can lend
</div>
<div>Additional funds will be allocated to my son JJ, who lost his car in the fire.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Jim has been an icon of Los Angeles Surfer culture since the 1960's. With his sly charisma and humor, he endeared himself to many in the entertainment industry. His friendship with screenwriter John Miliuis helped served as an inspiration for the Cohen Brothers' film "The Big Lebowski"
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please help my father, a staple of LA counter-culture, and my family during these difficult times.

Support Jim Ganzer's Family After Devastating Fire

<div>My name is Nadine, and on the morning of January 8, 2025, I woke up to the devastating news that everything I had was gone—lost to the fires that swept through Los Angeles. My home in Altadena, CA, was my safe haven, and I truly believed we were out of harm's way. But nature had a different plan, and now I find myself without a home, holding onto my three young children—my 1-year-old twin boys and my 3-year-old son—trying to figure out how to start over.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This has been the hardest moment of my life, but I know I can’t do it alone. I need to start our lives from scratch, and I’m reaching out to my friends, family, and community for help. <strong>We’ve lost everything,</strong> and I need to <strong>replace everything</strong>—from the basics (clothes, toys) to the things that make a house a home (furniture and kitchen accessories).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your kindness and support mean more to me than words can express.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for being there for us in this impossible time.

Grateful for your Support: Donations to Create Stability

<div>I am sharing this fundraiser because many have asked how they can be a blessing to our family.
</div>
<div>My parents Al &amp; Jackie have been in Altadena on east Wapello since 1968 and have been a blessing to many over the past 56 years. Everyone remembers Uncle Al and Auntie Jackie's home was the place to be!
</div>

</div>
<div>Our home of 56 years was flattened to ashes in the Eaton Fire in Altadena, CA on Jan 8, 2025.
</div>
<div>Our daughter, a beloved Graduate Professor at LMU's home was affected as well, and we are all displaced.
</div>
<div>Physically we are ok, but emotionally and mentally we are devastated.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Jenkins family is reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of my beloved grandmother Barbara Jenkins, who recently experienced a devastating time. The recent fires in Eaton Canyon/Altadena completely changed her life, reducing it to ashes and leaving her with nothing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Decades of memories, laughter, and love. It was where Barbara and my late Grandfather Arthur Jenkins raised most of, if not ALL our family. They welcomed neighbors and strangers, and created a lifetime of cherished moments. Now, all of that is gone…
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At 77 , starting over is an overwhelming challenge. Her sense of security that has been there for decades is gone in the wind. Despite this, my grandmother remains resilient, a testament to the strength and grace she has always shown in life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are asking for your help to give her a fresh start. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to restoring her hope.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you are unable to donate, we completely understand, but sharing this campaign with others would mean the world to us. Together, we can show her that even in the darkest moments, the kindness of others can light the way forward.

<div><strong>December 2025 Update:</strong>
</div>
<div>Pasadena Waldorf School has made significant progress this year in the wake of the Eaton Fire. In the months since the loss of our Mariposa campus, our faculty, staff, and community have worked with exceptional focus to stabilize operations, strengthen programs, and lay the groundwork for a strong future.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We successfully reestablished classrooms and student life at our temporary campuses, and are in the process of remediation and repair at our surviving Mendocino Campus in Altadena, and have cleared and prepared our Mariposa campus for an eventual rebuild, all while continuing to offer the full breadth of a Waldorf education. The PWS Board of Trustees has also advanced a long-term facilities planning process to chart the school’s path forward, including envisioning the rebuild of the Mariposa site. While the year has brought challenge, it has also revealed the resilience, commitment, and generosity that define PWS, allowing us to move ahead with both clarity and optimism.
</div>
<div>The costs of temporary relocation, remediation, repair, and eventual rebuild at our Mariposa campus will far exceed insurance and FEMA support, so we are adjusting our Go Fund Me goal as we head into 2026. We are grateful for every donor who has supported PWS this year. If you know others in your networks, please share our story. We are committed to returning to Altadena, and need your support.

</div>
<div>Pasadena Waldorf School in Altadena, California, lost its beautiful Paquita Lick Machris Campus in the Eaton Fire on January 7th. The community of PWS teachers, students, families, alumni, and friends are devastated by this loss. <strong>Every building has burned to the ground across what was a beautiful and peaceful 5-acre campus for our Kindergarten through Grade 8 programs.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are grateful that so far, our nearby Mendocino St. Campus, where the preschool and high school are still standing, but it is going to take time, love, resources, and money to return to our special Waldorf program at the Mariposa St. Campus.

<div>Friends,

</div>

<div>A Go-Fund-Me has been started for my dear friend <strong>Jackie Clarke</strong>, her husband <strong>Sam Stackhouse</strong> and kids <strong>Hugo and Esmé</strong>. They lost their home and everything they own in the Eaton Fire that destroyed their neighborhood of Altadena, CA. They had to evacuate so quickly they didn't even have time to grab a proper pair of shoes for Hugo, he is wearing flip flops.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I know there are a lot of people asking for help right now, but if you can, please donate something to Jackie and her family so they can start rebuilding their lives...they will need to purchase clothes, toiletries, food, and find place to stay etc.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Think of all the times Jackie has made you laugh...if you donate $2 for each one of them we will be well on our way.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>No amount is too small...anything helps.

</div>

<div>Thank you so much!

</div>

Help Jackie Clarke's Family Rebuild After Fire

<div>The kind, loving, and generous <strong>Merlan-Hammerli Family (Mari, Brandon, 6-year-old Kindergartener Sage, and their three cats)</strong> have tragically lost their Altadena rental home and all of their belongings in the Eaton Fire.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, they do not have rental insurance and they were not able to take anything with them except the cats before fleeing from the fire. They have lost a lifetime of memories, mementos, and the life they've worked tirelessly to build.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To compound this tragedy, Sage's school, Aveson School of Leaders (where Brandon worked previously), was also completely destroyed, and there is no word on next steps for Sage's school. The family, like so many others, are suffering and need our help during this challenging time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Maritza (Mari), a devoted mother, works part-time with our elderly community as a caregiver, and Brandon, a wonderful father, works part-time in education. This traumatic event has left them reeling from their profound loss - they are plagued with "what-ifs" and regrets. <strong>Any financial assistance, big or small, will help them get back on their feet </strong>and will assist with needs that are not otherwise covered by other sources of aid. Your generosity and support is deeply appreciated.
</div>
<div><br />

Help the Merlan-Hammerli Family After Eaton Fire

<div>I never thought I’d be in a position to even create something like this, but my name is Kiana and <strong>I am fundraising on behalf of my family that’s been deeply affected by the Eaton Fire disaster.</strong> My entire family became displaced overnight through losing both family homes that have been in our family for generations. My parents, my aunt, and my little sister lost everything they owned and ever loved in a matter of hours.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I know the most important thing is that they are all safe, but the grief and pain of losing family heirlooms and core memories in a place that’s been decimated is too much to bear. My family is still in shock, and the pain and trauma from this all will last for some time.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I know my family are not the only ones affected. All of our friends, neighbors, and the entire Altadena community faced fierce destruction to an unimaginable degree.

</div>

<div>My heart is crushed knowing somewhere I’ve called home the majority of my life is in ashes. Neighborhoods are unrecognizable for miles, and I’m in disbelief that something as terrible as this is even possible.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>If there was ever a time to reach out for help, I’m certain that the time is now.</strong>

</div>

<div>I am fundraising $80,000 in hopes of being able to give $20,000 to each family member directly affected. <strong>My mom, dad, sister, and auntie need thoughts and prayers too.</strong> The home where my parents lived didn’t have fire insurance, and it’s hard to assess at this time what will be able to be restored and rebuilt. But I’m hoping that whatever I can raise will assist with their new beginnings. Your donations will help mostly towards housing. However, they all need new everything, which includes clothes, shoes, and other living essentials.

</div>

</div>

<div>If you’ve read this far, THANK YOU.

</div>

<div>You have my deepest gratitude!

</div>

<div>Sincerely from the bottom of my heart,

</div>

<div>I appreciate your words of kindness, donations, shared resources, and all-around love. My family needs all the support they can get in addition to our neighbors and friends in the local area.

Help Rebuild Lives: Aid Kiana's Family Post-Fire Disaster

<div>My dear friends <strong>Rachel Robb Kondrath</strong> and <strong>Chris Hill</strong> tragically <strong>lost their home</strong> in the <strong>devastating Los Angeles Eaton wildfire</strong> in the early hours of the morning of Jan 8, 2025. I'm raising money to help them through this very challenging time. Rachel and Chris had recently returned from their honeymoon when the fire destroyed their beloved home. Rachel has been active in her Altadena &amp; Pasadena communities, with volunteer work that includes supporting the local libraries, assisting home gardeners and community gardens, civic organizing, teaching neighbors how to use power tools, and designing graphics for Altadena nonprofits. Chris helps friends and neighbors by donating his car repair and electronics repair skills, and cooking for community potlucks. <strong>They are committed to helping their fellow Altadenans rise from the ashes.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Any donation amount will help</strong> support Rachel and Chris recover and contribute to a vibrant future for their beloved Altadena community. These funds will assist with needs that are not covered by other sources of aid. If you’re unable to donate, <strong>sharing this post helps just as much</strong>! Thank you for all your support!

Help Ana's family rebuild from the Eaton Fire

<div>When the Eaton fire broke out on January 7, Adam and Sarah Rager had to quickly evacuate their Altadena home. They fled with their two young children, their cat and two dogs, and just two bags of essentials.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The fire hit their neighborhood hard, destroying all of the houses on their street. Their house and everything in it, along with their second car, are gone. <strong>Adam and Sarah and their children and pets are safe and sheltered but have lost almost everything they own.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Adam and Sarah Rager are dedicated and beloved elementary educators in our community. </strong>Adam, known to his students as Mr. Rager, teaches 4th grade at Elysian Heights Arts Magnet in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Sarah, known to her school as Ms. Rager, teaches at Altadena Arts Magnet in Pasadena Unified. <strong>They have given so much to our community, enriching the lives of hundreds of children, and now they need our help. </strong>

Help the Ragers After Eaton Fire

<div>Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>My name is Breauna Lingard from St. Louis MO and I’m reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for help. My beloved brother and his family have suffered a devastating loss due to the recent California wildfires. Their home, along with all their belongings, has been completely destroyed. They are now faced with the daunting task of rebuilding their lives from scratch.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Brian, who is a dedicated principal at a local school, his wife Kwynn, and their young son Ellison were able to escape with their lives and their beloved dog Tendo. Unfortunately, everything else was lost – clothes, furniture, household goods, and essential toiletries. As they navigate through this incredibly challenging time, we are asking for your support in any way possible. Your generous donations will go directly towards helping them secure basic necessities and begin the process of rebuilding their home and lives.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>While we are still determining the exact financial needs, any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference. Additionally, we kindly ask you to share this post with your network to help spread the word.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Beyond financial support, we also ask for your thoughts and prayers for our family and all those affected by these devastating wildfires. Your kindness and compassion mean the world to us during this difficult time.

The beautiful home she put so much love and energy into is completely gone along with everything but one carload of belongings.. <div>Dear friends, family, and community,
</div>
<div>We are reaching out to ask for your support of Ken and Shino Charlson, the talented and kind-hearted owners of FuguFugu Press. Shino has been courageously battling cancer. The day after her final Chemo treatment, their home tragically burned to the ground in the Eaton fire in Altadena, CA.
</div>
<div>Their home was more than just a place to live and work. It was a vibrant center of creativity and learning. The Charlson’s opened their doors to aspiring artists, musicians, and students. Ken, a professional musician and pianist, gave music lessons in their cozy living room, filling the house with melodies and laughter. Shino, with her keen artistic eye, mentored young designers and collaborated with authors, creating illustrations that brought beauty into the world. Their home was a gathering space for friends and neighbors, where art and music flowed freely, fostering a deep sense of community.
</div>
<div>FuguFugu Press has been a labor of love for Ken and Shino. Their letterpress business produced whimsical, beautifully crafted stationery and art. Their studio was adorned with antique presses, hand-mixed inks, and the unmistakable scent of creativity in action. More than just a workspace, it was a hub for inspiration where Ken and Shino poured their hearts into their craft.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Altadena fire has taken away their physical space, but it cannot erase the incredible spirit of generosity, creativity, and love that Ken and Shino embody.
</div>
<div>We are raising funds to help Ken and Shino reestablish FuguFugu Press. The funds will go toward:
</div>
<div>    •    Replacing equipment and supplies for FuguFugu Press to restart their letterpress business
</div>
<div>    •    Restoring their creative and musical space to once again serve as a hub for art, instruction and community.
</div>
<div>Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference and help them begin the journey of recontructing their lives. If you are unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing this campaign with your network to help spread the word.
</div>
<div>Thank you for standing with Ken and Shino during this difficult time. Together, we can help them rise from the ashes and continue to inspire us all with their incredible artistry and spirit.
</div>
<div>With gratitude,
</div>

Support Ken and Shino Charlson victims of the Eaton Fire

<div>Hello, I'm Erik Patterson. My friends Tina, Robbie, Pearl, and Roscoe lost their home in the Eaton fire. Tina is one of my oldest and best friends -- we met on the first day of orientation at Oxy back in 1996. Tina and Robbie are artists in every sense of the word (writing, directing, making music, etc.), they are wonderful parents, and they've spent the last two years literally making a dream home for their incredible free spirited kids. They also have 3 well-behaved senior dogs. Like so many others in the Altadena community, they've lost everything, their clothes, their keepsakes, childhood photos, journals. They put their life savings into this house and now are trying to figure out how to start over at zero. I’ve created this gofundme for them to give them some hope as they figure out what's next.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please give what you can. Everything helps. Thank you so much.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Here's a message from Tina:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We moved to Altadena in 2019. I gave birth here in 2021. We started remodeling almost 2 years ago and built our dream home, complete with pink concrete countertops and wild colors throughout. Robbie said being in the house “feels like living in Tina’s head.” We finally finished and moved back in for the holidays. Last night, we evacuated at 2:30am and the house was gone by 4:30am along with the rest of the houses in our neighborhood. It’s unimaginable. I have so few pictures of the house, but I’ll always remember it as being a work of art.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As for us, we are safe, and shaken, and not at all sure what to do next.

Help Tamika & Elijah Recover after Eaton Fire

<div>Liberty, Mark, Cody Lea and Delta Rae have lost their home to fire in the Los Angeles blaze. The horror of that is something that’s hard to comprehend. They’ve lost everything.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The sad reality in the U.S. is that if your house has burned down and you’ve lost everything then pretty much no-one but your community is going to come help in the short term. Property has been destroyed but life…and its expenses…still carry on regardless. This fundraiser aims to help this family get back on their feet with things that won’t be covered by Fema/insurance
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’re reading this then you are their community. We want to help them through this awful time in any way we can collectively afford.

<div>Usual cliche: don't think of the amount think of the collective effort and <strong>share share share</strong> the link to anyone who will want to join the collective to help!

Help Support the Taylor Family through the Eaton Fire Crisis

<div>We are Tracy and David Smith representing the Johnson Family in Altadena which are dear friends of ours. Thank you in advance for your love and support.
</div>

Support for the Johnson Family

<div>Dear Community,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Rosie Quintal and I'm proudly from Altadena, California. It is with a devastated heart and spirit that I come to you all for help. Within the last 24 hours, our lives changed. <strong>Our beloved family home burned down in the Eaton Fire, and parents' two cars were damaged.</strong> My parents (in their 70s) had to quickly evacuate with our pets after the house (with no electricity) filled with smoke and the strong winds scattered tons of embers across the neighborhood. They had no time to gather any money, necessary medications, clothes, or family items that were valuable and extremely memorable to us. They took our pets and ran.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My family lost everything in this fire. Everything is gone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>I am fundraising for my family to help them start over and recover. </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you know us, you know that our home was a fun-loving safe haven, our family legacy, and our little slice of heaven. Our home, along with my mom's beautiful garden, was always filled with family and friends (and our dogs!), whether we were celebrating birthdays, having Sunday carne asadas, or figuring things out during tough times.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We're working-class folks. My parents are from Mexico and, like many immigrants, came to the U.S. alone at a young age to escape poverty and seek a better life. My mom was a line cook at retirement homes in Dena, and my dad was a machinist who made airplane parts. Both of them met in Pasadena and raised my siblings and me in our beloved Altadena. This house was their American Dream come true. We never could have imagined this disaster burning it down to the ground in a matter of minutes. Mementos, photographs, jewelry, and videos that documented the history of our lineage from Mexico to Altadena are all ashes now.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are grieving the house that represented my immigrant family's hard work and sacrifice, and also grieving the town that raised us, which was also destroyed. We pray for our neighbors and friends who also lost their homes.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This money will be used to help my family, primarily my parents, who are both retired, get back up on their feet. Your support will help cover unexpected costs and assist with needs that might not be fully covered by other sources of aid.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you in advance for your unwavering support and love. No donation is too small. We truly appreciate anything that you can give. THANK YOU &lt;3
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Warmly,
</div>
