<p>On Saturday, July 18th, Sean was detained by ICE on his way to support his husband’s Pride performance.

<p>What was supposed to be a day of celebration, love, and visibility turned into a nightmare. With warm regards and high hopes to resolve this matter and get Sean back to his life and loved ones - his friends, his family, and husband - have come together to create this initiative to fundraise for the immediate needs that will arise during the devastating and extensive process now underway.

I am a Black trans woman who relocated to Chicago for safety, moving from Tennessee where there are no protections for people like me. I came here hoping to find a safe haven and to further my goals for my transition, but the challenges have been overwhelming. I have no immediate support, and my family’s hyper-religious beliefs mean they do not accept my gender identity or lifestyle. Coming from a background of poverty, I am now facing urgent threats to my safety and well-being.

<p>Isabel lives alone. She has no one to take care of her except for her neighbor. She lives in a really humble neighborhood in San Salvador with other elderly people who have been abandoned by their families.

<p>With your help, we’re going to help build small storefronts so they can self-sustain their day -to-day expenses. We're also going to start a <br />small restaurant to earn money that will help in paying for medicine, food, and other necessities. With the rest of your donations we will be fixing her house and some of elderly homes. Let’s bless Isabel and the elderly of El Salvador

My father, Nicolas Gonzalez Vega passed away this Saturday at 3:15 am after fighting for his life and an illness that he suffered from for many years. A liver transplant wasn't an option at this point. After being taken off life support Friday night he was surrounded by family members and his 3 kids. It's a painful experience and brings memories of our mother who fought lung cancer and passed in January 2010. They knew each other since they were kids and brought us here to give us a better life. Both migrants who left their parents and families behind knowing they might never see them again. My sisters and I understand the love our parents had for each other and for their children.
