My name is Maquita LeShea, and I’m a single mother who has faced more than my fair share of challenges — from seasons of homelessness to the constant struggle of keeping employment without reliable childcare or transportation. These realities aren’t just my past; they are still part of my present. Being in a home with little to no support is hard enough in a thriving economy — but when the economy slows, the struggle multiplies. The cost of simply existing can feel unbearable for families trying to hold on to their homes, their health, and their hope. That’s why I created Making Miracles Grow and Moving Miracles — two grassroots initiatives birthed from real-life pain, guided by faith, and fueled by the belief that miracles are still possible. Making Miracles Grow The Mission Making Miracles Grow is a humanitarian effort aligned with core values: wellness, equity, sustainability, and community empowerment. We believe every family deserves to grow strong roots — no matter the soil they were planted in. What We Provide Nutritious Meals – Weekly grocery boxes or hot meals for families in crisis Medical & Childcare Assistance – Urgent support for health needs and trusted childcare Transportation Support – Rides to work, school, medical visits, or reunification services Emergency Funds – Flexible aid for rent, utilities, or other critical emergencies Moving Miracles: Community Logistics That Heal A vital extension of Making Miracles Grow, this mobile initiative ensures that no family is left behind due to lack of access. It’s more than transportation — it’s transformation. What We Deliver Special Needs Transport – Safe, compassionate rides to vital appointments for the elderly and differently-abled ️ Home Deliveries – Food, hygiene kits, wellness supplies, and prescriptions Holistic Logistics – We fill the gaps so families can maintain dignity, wellness, and stability Every mile is a mission. From doorsteps to hospital doors, we ensure that nourishment, care, and connection reach those who need it most — on time, with love. Why I Need You Today, I am underemployed — not because I lack skills or desire, but because employment is becoming harder to hold not just for me but for many others leading to me to lean more into service. I’ve come to understand that in this season, serving others is the work. People don’t just need jobs or food — they need miracles. And Making Miracles Grow and Moving Miracles are our way of showing them that miracles are still possible. What Your Donation Supports We're building something powerful from the ground up — and every dollar helps lay the foundation. Here's how it breaks down: Groundwork & Community Footwork – $1,200 We’re doing the hands-on work: meeting with elders, visiting sites, gathering community input, and mapping the vision — in real time. Legal Formation & Admin Setup – $1,500 To officially register, apply for grants, and operate responsibly, we’ll cover fees for legal registration, IRS filings, basic insurance, and setting up systems like banking and bookkeeping. Fundraising Launch & Storytelling – $1,000 We’ll design campaigns, host interest meetings, build our digital presence, and activate a sustainable giving network that keeps our mission moving forward. Digital Tools & Operations – $800 This includes creating our website, organizing cloud-based tools, setting up email and forms, and building infrastructure for long-term success. Pilot Programming – $1,500 We'll begin small-scale programming, offer stipends to local collaborators, and document our efforts to inspire more support and future funding.
