<div>Our precious daughter Lila Bonner, with an electric smile and soulful eyes, was tragically taken from this world in the horrific floods at Camp Mystic on July 4, 2025. While our hearts are aching and processing this unimaginable loss, we are determined to spread Lila’s Light into the world.

<div>Lila was a natural born leader who loved all creatures, big and small. Her confidence and determination left no doubt she would one day fulfill her dream of opening and operating an animal rescue.

We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support for our beautiful and precious girl and look forward to honoring her love for animals by creating a foundation, Lila’s Light, to help animals affected by natural disasters - just as she would have wanted.

<div>Camp Mystic isn’t just a camp. It’s a place where generations of girls, women, and families have gathered under the Texas stars to connect through song and prayer, learn compassion and kindness, leadership and independence.

<div>Who are we and how are we associated with Camp Mystic?

<div>London is 6th year camper, War Canoe Stern, and M Girl at Cypress Lake. I’m an ex-camper from 1991-1994 on the Guadalupe River. Both of us are True Tonks ❤️ making our bond as mother and daughter and to the camp even more heartfelt and special!

<div>But now… after Mother Natures Flood… after Londons safe return home …We are traumatized with heartbreak from the sights witnessed, and guilt of not being able to help made us feel helpless and even more lost. The feelings of what was supposed to be the best summer yet…came to an abrupt stop after recording breaking flood waters down the Guadalupe River causing mass destruction and loss of life throughout Kerr County.

<div>As a mom, my heart broke a little more when London said what if that’s it and camp closes forever and we don’t have a place to go back to? Well out of sadness and fear of the unknown and misguided new reporting within one day… we had to do something! We want to let Camp Mystic &amp; Kerr Co. know we care …so we rallied our community, friends, family, colleagues that live near us to show support and made them a Green Bow and put it on their tree and urged them to donate…. leading us to create this Fund.

<div>Keeping busy bringing awareness to others that wanted to help was just what we needed to heal our hearts and theirs too. While we wait for an official word from Camp Mystic, this fund is our way of acting now—to prepare the soil for healing and rebuilding, both physically and spiritually.
