On April 7, my eight year-old Shih Tzu, Mushroom, and I were attacked by a loose pitbull on Ferry Street in Everett, Massachusetts. It was a terrifying experience, and I’ve spent countless hours crying and comforting my little girl as she recovers. The medical bills for her emergency care and surgeries have been overwhelming—a cost I never expected and am struggling to cover.

<div>Hi, my name is Kevin ONeil, an I’m facing a life-altering medical challenge. Since 2020, I’ve been closely monitoring a cyst on my pancreas. Unfortunately, it has grown to an abnormal size and is the type that will eventually turn cancerous. My doctors at Massachusetts General Hospital have recommended the Whipple procedure—a major operation to remove the part of my pancreas with the cyst, part of the duodenal duct, a portion of my small intestine, and my gallbladder. Support Needed for Whipple Surgery Recovery

<div>Hello, My name Is Dalvin Gadson. Let me tell you my story, the truth, of how the Colorado Springs Police Department (Sand Creek Division) used grossly excessive force and sent me to the hospital during a simple traffic stop.
</div>
<div><strong>The first thing I want to say is I am not a criminal. I have never been convicted of any criminal acts, and there was no probable cause or reason of suspicion for the peace officers to use the force they used upon me. Next, I want to say that I am a Veteran. I served in the Army National Guard as a helicopter mechanic, and these peace officers had no idea they were assaulting a former soldier.</strong> <strong>I was wrongfully beaten and arrested for crimes I did not commit. </strong>

<div>I made this Gofundme page to spread awareness about these peace officers' terrible acts towards me. I was hoping the community could help me raise funds for a criminal lawyer, and it would help with my current situation because I am now out of a job and still have to pay bills for rent and my car.

<div><strong>It all started Sunday, October 9th, 2022, around 2:30 am. </strong>I have been homeless for about 3-4 months, just sleeping in my car doing Doordash until my money was saved enough to get an apartment. I was staying at the Springs Rescue Mission, a homeless shelter near downtown Colorado Springs.
</div>
<div>While sleeping, a stranger (Carlos) knocked on my car window, and when I had awoken, he asked me if I could take him to his job close by for 20 dollars. I needed the money, so I said yes. While driving him to his destination, I was pulled over by the police.
</div>
<div>I was startled when this happened because I never get pulled over. I tell the stranger (Carlos)
</div>
<div>to relax and that the stop would be over soon. The police officer stepped outside his vehicle as I rolled down my window to say hey. When I spoke, he told me to place my hands outside the window, so I did. The officer walked towards the passenger side, his flashlight shining inside my car. He told me I had been pulled over because my license plate was missing. I told him I needed new screws to affix the plate to the trunk. At the time I had it inside of my car in the backseat. It was in the rear windshield area but it slid to the seat area without me knowing. He then asked Carlos and me for our identification. We complied with the officer and showed our identification cards with no hassle. After checking our credentials, 3 or 4 more squad cars came into the scene after 1 minute or so and 3 or 4 more officers walked to my car, this time coming to the driver's side.
</div>
<div><strong>Without hesitation, they immediately told me I had to take a marijuana D.U.I. test, without any probable cause or reasonable suspicion, and that I had to get out of my car and they would be detaining me in handcuffs. They told me to get out of my car.</strong> I asked them why I had to be detained with handcuffs and tested for a D.U.I.
</div>
<div>An officer said that he wouldn't answer my question. He told me again to get out of my car to be detained in handcuffs for Investigation of a D.U.I.
</div>
<div>While opening my door, I swung my legs out the car and asked if I could sit in the car.
</div>
<div><strong>They didn't tell me why I had to be detained in handcuffs for a D.U.I., so I was confused and wanted to know the reason why; they only continued telling me to get out of my car. I wasn't drinking or smoking while driving, and they didn't tell me of any driving infractions I did. I was frightened and only wanted an answer to what I did to be pulled over. </strong>
</div>
<div>When I asked if I could sit in the car the cops said no and said again I was being detained for a D.U.I.
</div>
<div>I was scared at this moment and accidentally said No I'm not. <strong>At that moment, one of the peace officers violently grabbed my hand, and my body's natural reaction was to pull my hand back. I did not think to do this. It was a natural reaction.</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>The same police officer immediately started punching me in the face while pulling me out of my car. After the first punch, I tried to say okay, I tried to say sorry, I tried to lay on the ground, but multiple officers were grabbing me, kicking me in the head, kneeing and elbowing me in the face, and punching me everywhere possible. After I was punched several times in the face, I lost consciousness. (NOTE: No officers on the scene tried to stop this wrongdoing against me. There was Thirteen Peace Officers on the scene) I regained awareness, lying on the asphalt. I was covered in blood, with two black eyes, one eye swelled shut with blood in my cornea, my whole body badly bruised, abrasions all over, lips busted, ribs and spine hurting and my eyesight was halfway gone (NOTE: my eyes, head, spine and back are still damaged from this incident). </strong>
</div>
<div>After these officers brutally beat me, they quickly switched the squad
</div>
<div>from the guys who beat me up to two women officers and one male officer who just came on the scene. <strong>(Note that the passenger, a Hispanic male I did not know, was in handcuffs, but the excessive force was not placed upon him, and I think he was later let go) </strong>
</div>
<div>They would not give me the names of the officers or let me speak to them to ask why they had done this to me. I believe they were trying to cover the incident up as quickly as possible. <strong>The woman peace officer told me I was under arrest. I don't remember her telling me why I was. </strong>At this point, I am immensely hurt. My speech may have been slurred from my lips being busted open and my mouth full of blood; my physical movement was unnatural from the bruising of my bones. They called the ambulance.
</div>
<div>When I entered the ambulance, it was apparent I had been injured badly by three or more men. <strong>(NOTE: no crime was committed by me. I was falsely accused of committing criminal acts such as two counts of attempted 2nd-degree assault against a peace officer, obstruction against a peace officer, resisting arrest, and driving under the influence)(*assault against a peace officer charges dropped*)</strong>
</div>
<div>When I got into the hospital, I was admitted quickly, and the white female police who placed me under arrest took pictures of my injuries using her phone. During the hospital check-up, the female officer asked if I wanted to take a D.U.I. test, saying if I refused to take the test my license would be taken, but I could get it back, and I had to get it back from the revenue department before seven days passed. She didn't read the paper right, and I couldn't read the paper good with swollen eyes, so I thought I would get my driver's license back as soon as I got out of jail, with no problem. I declined the D.U.I. because I was scared it would incriminate me, possibly showing a reason for the arrest. After I signed the paper to refuse the D.U.I. test, she re-read it and told me I would lose my license for one year or more.
</div>
<div>At that point I asked if they could re-read it because I didn't understand what the paper stated. The female officer claimed she didn't have time to tell me what the form said. I could not read it well. My eyes were injured, and I couldn't see much.
</div>
<div>I was very hurt physically and emotionally at this point because the women officers were not trying to correct the unjust situation I was placed in by the male officers who brutally beat me. <strong>(Note: I have no criminal background.)</strong>
</div>
<div>I believe they were protecting the male officers, and it's evident with the body cam evidence I will soon show.
</div>
<div><strong>(NOTE: I officially have all the body cams and discovery records for my case)</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>This act done by the "peace officers" is not honorable. This is a crime against the people of Colorado Springs and me. I Believe my 4th amendment rights were severely violated. My original stop was for a missing license plate, that I had, and was registered. Without any probable cause or reason of suspicion these officers wanted to detain me in handcuffs for a D.U.I. investigation.</strong>
</div>
<div>I left the hospital around 6:00 am and went to the jail on Las Vegas st. At this point, <strong>I'm horrified, feeling as if I will spend a long time in jail for crimes fabricated by "peace officers." I spent two days starving at El Paso County Criminal Justice Center, and my bond was set at $20,000. </strong>I could not afford this bond. I cried nervously. Luckily, my sister, also an Army Veteran, pulled out her savings and paid the bond. She spent her last to get me out. This ultimately brought her into the pit they threw me into.
</div>
<div><strong>This whole incident truly is saddening. I believe my civil rights were being broken. I believe the amount of aggression and force the peace officers had from the start of the incident clearly shows excessive use of force towards me, a compliant civil human being. (I was also falsely accused of using a knife to assault the officers, far from the truth of the incident)</strong> <strong> I am currently dealing with PTSD from the incident and head trauma..it's honestly hard to go out to get food because I am terrified of these peace officers. I wish this never happened. My liberty and pursuit of happiness is in jeopardy because of this incident. I don't feel safe in my own neighborhood anymore. </strong>

If anyone knows a criminal lawyer who will take this case free of charge, that would also be helpful. <div>I want to file a complaint on peace officers Matthew Anderson #5396 , Colby Hickman #7090 and Christopher Hummel #6964 from sand Creek division for using excessive force on Dalvin Gadson, giving him face &amp; body lacerations, abrasions, bruises and eye damage and a concussion and falsely accusing him of multiple charges, such as 2 counts of assault in the second degree against a peace officer, driving under the influence, obstructing a peace officer, and resisting arrest. The 2 assault charges were later dropped on November 30th, and the DMV dismissed the Revocation of his license because there was insufficient probable cause to require a blood test. Dalvin is a Army Veteran and without any probable cause or reason of suspicion he was brutally beaten by these three officers, and wrongly arrested. I believe they severely violated his 4th amendment rights when they forced him out of his car for a D.U.I. without reason of suspicion or probable cause. The initial stop was for a missing license plate. These officers made up a story to make it look like Dalvin was driving under the influence/smoking marijuana. After the unreasonable searching of his car they found no evidence to prove Dalvin was indeed driving under the influence. These peace officers have destroyed the community's trust in them by breaking the law and deserve to be held accountable for their actions. Dalvin did not deserve to go through this. The people of Colorado and the United States wants these peace officers to be punished at the fullest extent.

<div>Louis Odogwu Ganobi was eagerly looking forward to his graduation party next spring when he was cut short by an unknown shooter. He was 26 years old full of life, and never fell sick easily. A very loving and kind young man, generous to a fault. The tragedy occurred around 7 pm on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. He said goodbye to his loving family and left for work as usual. Just a stone through from his home, to the extent that his family members heard the gunshot, he was brutally murdered. The gunshot wound in his stomach refused to stop bleeding despite all medical treatments, and he passed away. This calamity left the family devastated, and as sudden as it happened, the family is asking for help to lay him to rest as soon as possible.

<div><strong>Recent Update: </strong>In Norway, one of Ross’ close friends in the 261 squadron had an in depth conversation with him in the mission planning room. Ross told his fellow squadron friend that he thought Lana was to be the sole recipient of his Death Gratuity, SGLI, and all other benefits such as last pay and all paid leave he had. Ross said that one of the reasons he married Lana at the courthouse before he left was in case anything happened, Lana would be able to manage their house, car and loan debt. He definitely thought that Lana would be receiving everything as his wife.<br /><br />Ross had enrolled Lana as his spouse in the military DEERS system prior to leaving for Norway for this purpose. Unfortunately, Ross was unaware that additional military paperwork needed to be updated accordingly. He didn't update his SGLI and death gratuity because he thought that once he got married everything automatically went to his spouse. He was under the assumption that getting married gave everything to Lana and that he didn't need to re-update it unless he wanted to designate certain amounts/percentages to others as well. Ross and this squadron friend had this specific conversation. The entire time, he thought and still wants Lana his wife to get everything: SGLI, death gratuity, last paycheck, and accrued paid leave. <br /><br /><strong><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/64873833_1652791696564690_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="64873833_1652791696564690_r.jpeg" />3/18/22: </strong>Tragically, Captain Ross "ALF" Reynolds and three fellow Marines died on March 18th of this year in Norway on a NATO training exercise when their MV-22B Osprey crashed during a flight up to Bodo, Norway.

<div>As many of you know a tornado swept through Dawson Springs,Ky last night but unfortunately, like many families, my uncle and his family were truly affected by this. Him, his wife, three children and his mother-in-law were all in his mother-in-law’s house when it ripped through. Although, they were hunkered down they were all thrown from the house and into the neighbor’s yard. While they all had some cuts and bruises and they will all be physically okay after being stitched up and checked out at the hospital. The same  cannot be said for the damage that occurred to the house. Sadly, his mother-in-law only has her wallet and phone left, absolutely nothing else. <div>On March 5th, 2014, my second oldest son, <span style="letter-spacing:0.0085px;">Derek, attempted suicide.  It's truly a miracle he survived the gun shot that wiped out his entire face.  He was a freshman in college and home on spring break. He doesn't remember getting the gun or shooting himself. </span>

<div><span style="letter-spacing:0.0085px;">My husband found him right by our house, lying in a pile of red snow.  He was rushed to our local hospital where I truly believed he was going to die.  He was transferred to Hurley Medical Center in Flint,  where we discussed organ donations. He was then transferred to Henry Ford in Detroit.   He was put on life support and into a medically induced coma.  He was not brain dead, as originally thought,  and the goal was to keep him alive. He had 28 bags and tubes going in and out of him. His brain was swollen, and we had no idea what his quality of life would be if he survived.</span>

In June 2020, we were told there'was nothing more his doctor could do for him but to refer him to the Cleveland Clinic.  In July, 2020, we took our first trip to Cleveland, where we met numerous doctors and discussed the possibility of a face transplant.  In August, 2020, Derek went through numerous testing to see if he would be a good candidate.  After seven long years, we could finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. He was approved for the surgery, pending the funding. </span>

<div><span style="letter-spacing:0.0085px;">We submitted Derek's paperwork to our insurance, where is was denied due to the procedure being an "experimental surgery." The lifetime of anti-rejection medication was also denied.  My husband and I both work full-time jobs, but there is no way we can afford a procedure and expensive life-time medications. We all make mistakes, and through all of this I understand what unconditional love truly is.  We've been a team, and I've never left his side on this journey through recovery. </span>

<div><span style="letter-spacing:0.0085px;">Derek is a state football champion, he's caring, loving and been positive throughout the many ups and downs of the last seven years. This face transplant would greatly improve his quality of life.  The feeding machine that has been part of his life for seven years would be replaced with the ability to eat again.   His tracheostomy would also be replaced by his ability to breathe normally. </span>

Yesterday,  my precious niece, Chelsey Vollmer, was killed in a senseless tragic car accident. Her 2 yr old daughter Ezra was with her at the time and she miraculously survived.  Anyone who knew her knows that Chelsey was incredibly  kind and gentle, always willing to sacrifice for others and had a smile that lit up a room.  I was thrilled to see Chelsey enjoying and living her best life and creating a beautiful new family with Ethan and the kids.    Chelsey was taken from her family and we must do what we can to help.  Please consider donating to help Chelsey's family in their time of need.   The challenges ahead for Ethan are unimaginable, and I will pray for his strength... and any donation no matter how small will help him and his family.

Scotts Story<br />Scott, a husband and father of four, first became sick in the early summer of 2017.  Unable to hold down any food, for a number of weeks, and having already lost a tremendous amount of weight, he had had enough and went in for testing on June 16th.  Just one day shy of his 47th birthday.  Right from the beginning, the doctors feared the worst, Esophageal Cancer. <br /><br />     After enduring nearly every test available to doctors, and the subsequent 72 hour waiting period for test results, Scott was confirmed to have Stage 3 Esophageal Cancer. <br /><br />     Scotts battle hasn’t been unlike so many before him.  He’s fought this war for 2.5 years now; winning some battles, losing some.  But through it all he’s maintained every positive trait that one would expect from a hero.  He’s been brave, courageous, positive, humble and grateful to those that have helped.  He had to stop working, for a few months, at the job that he’s loved for nearly a decade, only to return triumphantly as soon as the doctors allowed him.<br /><br />     Through his battle he never once used it as a crutch.  He never allowed his fight to be used as an excuse but rather he used it as a driving force.  He’s been an inspiration to all that know him.  His determination to beat this demon inside him has been nothing short of heroic.<br /><br />     He has fought through surgically implanted feeding tubes, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and a plethora of drugs; all of which have ravaged his body.  When he first became sick, he was a hearty 300lbs, to-date he is struggling to stay about 130lbs.  The treatment and drugs designed to save his life are not without horrendous side effects.  He’s lost his finger prints due to chemo and, worse, more recently has been plagued by “mini strokes”. These “mini strokes” have led to two significant strokes, while at work, and the current subsequent hospitalization.<br /><br />     Scott is continuing to fight, despite his 3-6 month prognosis.  Scott loves life, loves his family and friends and is determined to walk out of the hospital that he currently calls home. At just 50 years old, he knows there’s so much more life to live.  He wants to dance with his daughters at their weddings.  He dreams of being called Grandpa.  He would love nothing more than another couple of decades of driving his wife crazy.  We all want and deserve these things; Scott deserves these things. However, he is restricted to a bed as the strokes have left him with limited functionality on his left side and legs.  Being unable to work, both he and his family could use and would appreciate any and all help.

I am Elizabeth Kenney my  sister is Rosemary Heath and I just found out today that Rosemary's Home will be foreclosed on December 27, 2019. She needs help saving her Home.

I am asking for help to save her home. 

Rosemary and her husband, George Heath, who was murdered  during the Taunton Rampage on May 10, 2016,  George and  Rosemary stood up to help the pregnant woman and then she had to  watch her husband as he died in her arms.  Since that day she has been dealing with CPTSD.  

She was denied the right to apply for SS Disability shortly after George's murder.  She had to go back to work and lost her job, less than a year later, due to the CPTSD.  

The mortgage was paid up to the time she lost her unemployment in August 2018.   She fought to get Disability from Social Security.   It took a while but in September 2019 she finally was approved, although, she still has to appeal the date of disability.

In the mean time the State of Massachusetts did not consider her a victim of the crime, and she is still fighting for her rights with the MA Office of Victims Assistance. The wheels of our government move slowly.

She has maintained the home since 2016, doing necessary repairs and upkeep as needed.  Until she lost her job.

She has exhausted her search in contacting agencies to assist, although she and George were first responders by action, they were not paid first responders, therefore do not qualify for assistance by any agency. 

Now the mortgage company wants a minimum of $25,000 to stop the foreclosure and reinstate her mortgage.  She is able to pay the monthly payments now, but they want the lump sum payment which she does not currently have. 

She can't find an apartment for less than what her mortgage is and can't keep the pets George gave her (their cat and 3 dogs) and abandoning them, is NOT an option. 

The house and her animals are all she has left.  Her husband is gone and she will be devastated if she losses the home she and George had together.

Save Rosemary Heath’s Home

My siblings house burned down in a fire around 4am this morning 7/4/19. They lost everything in the fire. They lost their home and all of their belongings. They have to start over from scratch. They were burnt and were rushed up to Harborview, my nephew was released but my niece and my brother are in until they heal. My brother has 3rd degree burns all over the upper half of his body and my niece is unable to breathe on her own as well as they are all in shock. Honestly at this point anything will help. Food, clothes, prayers, passing this forward. The money that is donated will be going toward medical expense, to get clothes and shoes, as well as hopes to find another home. Marc's untimely passing occurred after a violent, unprovoked shooting in Lowell and a woman is now being charged with his murder.<br />   On behalf of Marc Devoe's family, we are asking for your assistance in raising funds for his funeral and related expenses. Marc Devoe's Funeral Expenses

My dog, Gunnar was hit by a truck on Feb 16, 2014, which left him a paraplegic. We incurred many vet bills during his recovery. He now requires a wheelchair cart to get around, which helped him regain his mobility and live life to the fullest. We received a ton of help during his recovery... and decided to give back.<br /><br />We started a foundation called Gunnar's Wheels. Our goal was to have a fleet of loaner carts for shelter dogs and animals whose owners cannot afford them. As of April 2017, we now have 501c3 non-profit status with the IRS!<br /><br />The rules of Gunnar's Wheels are as follows:<br /><br />1) The animal gets to use the cart free of charge until the cart is no longer needed, or the animal passes away.<br /><br />2) At that time, the cart will be sent back to Gunnar's Wheels for a quick once over and sent out to the next needy animal.<br /><br />That's it!<br /><br /><img class="not-resizable" src="https://2dbdd5116ffa30a49aa8-c03f075f8191fb4e60e74b907071aee8.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/13960565_1471975306.0862_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%" /><br />This is Hope, the first recipient of Gunnar's Wheels. We were overwhelmed with requests for carts, and are getting to fulfill our dream of helping these otherwise unadoptable animals see their dream of finding a forever family and enjoying life to the fullest!! Specialty carts are 4-wheeled carts, front-wheeled carts, and amputee carts. The cost to repair a cart varies. If the cart just needs a harness, it could be $25.00. If the cart needs a side frame, it could be right around $50.00. The wheels vary in cost from $10.00 to $45.00 depending on the size and composition. We also turn over about 20 chairs annually due to recover or death, which does help keep expenses down.<br /><br /><strong>Our goal for this year (2017), and every year afterwards: We want to help every animal that is in need of a cart.</strong><br /><br />We tend to spend about $10K per year, so raising $50,000 to $60,000 would keep us covered for the next couple of years. We've set the goal at $30,000 for now, but hope to go far beyond that. <img class="not-resizable" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/18509536_1488158476.8347_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%" /><br />     Before Tuesday, December 27th, Kevin Breen was an active, hard working 44 year old husband and father who loved to spend time with his family on the lake water skiing and surfing. That night he went to Urgent Care with flu-like symptoms &amp; stomach pain. He was sent home with some medication and told to go to the ER if he didn't feel better.  Wednesday morning he went to the ER where he was diagnosed with acute mild pancreatitis and admitted to the hospital.  <br />     That night, he just kept getting worse and no pain medication would help. Thursday morning the doctors performed an exploratory surgery, because Kevin was showing signs of a ruptured ulcer. When they opened him up, they found 1.5 liters of infected puss, which later was found to be a streptococcal(strep)infection.  It was never found in his blood, so the source is still unknown.  <br />     According to the doctors, Kevin is the second documented male in the world for this to happen to. This infection caused him to go into severe septic shock and transfer to the intensive care unit (ICU) where he was placed on a ventilator. While there, we almost lost Kevin, but he beat the odds and fought for his life.  Unfortunately, to keep him alive, they had to give him high doses of medication to keep his blood pressure up, but they also stopped the blood flow in his extremities and led to necrosis(tissue death) of his hands and feet. His kidneys shut down and he was placed on continuous dialysis to filter his blood. <br />     While in the ICU, the entire staff worked endlessly to help Kevin and offered continuous prayers for his recovery. No doubt their prayers and those from friends and family are what got Kevin through.  <br />     Once out of the hospital, Kevin was transferred to an acute rehab hospital where the staff worked hard to help him gain strength and independence. They even made arrangements for him to go to the Grand Rapids Boat Show (boating is Kevin's passion).  While at the rehab facility, he was finally able to stop dialysis, praise God! <br />     After about a month at rehab, Kevin was discharged home to start his next journey.  What lies ahead for Kevin is at least 4 surgeries: complete amputation of his left hand,  amputation of multiple fingers on the right, and partial amputation of both his feet.<br /><img class="not-resizable" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/18509536_1488158566.9889_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%" /><br /><br /><img class="not-resizable" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/18509536_1488158586.2014_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%" /><br />     Kevin has been very motivated through this journey and has been an inspiration to myself, his friends, family and the medical/rehab staff that took care of him.
