My name is kathy, and I am reaching out for help for myself and my beloved dogs. Over the past several years, my life has been turned upside down by a series of medical injuries. After caring for my mother through her battle with ALS and holding her as she passed, I tried to rebuild my life by working in a warehouse. Unfortunately, I suffered three concussions—two of them severe—due to workplace accidents, including being struck by a falling metal gate and later by a heavy box of books. These injuries left me with short-term memory loss, vision problems, balance issues, and even put me in a coma. I now require ongoing medical treatments and have been told by doctors and my psychiatrist that I may never be able to work again. Recently, my balance issues caused me to fall and break my ankle, making daily life even more challenging. Despite my efforts to seek help, I keep getting shut down and currently have no income.
Through all of this, my dogs have been my lifeline—especially Skippy, who has saved my life twice. They are my family and the reason I keep fighting. Every donation will go directly toward keeping a roof over our heads, covering rent, medical bills, and making sure my dogs are safe and cared for. I always put their needs first, even if it means going without food myself. If I lose my dogs, I lose the other half of my heart. I am honest, trustworthy, and have spent my life helping others. I never imagined I would be in this position, but I am asking for your support to help us stay together and keep our home.
Any help you can give means the world to me and my dogs. Your kindness will make a real difference in our lives during this difficult time. Thank you for reading my story and considering a donation.
