Kathia's Kids

EMERGENCY MEDICAL INTERVENTION Yvela is a 27-year-old single mother of four young children. In the poorest rural areas of Haiti, being a single parent is all too common—and it can often be a death sentence. Kathia’s Kids has already taken action. We successfully moved Yvela and her family from a cardboard and tin-roof shack in the mountains to a secure brick structure closer to town, doctors, and schools. That was PHASE 1: Relocation. Now, we are entering PHASE 2: HEALTH. Yvela’s children are very ill. Two of them are currently under urgent medical treatment for parasitic infections and viruses. Berline, the oldest daughter, is staying with Kathia and is recovering well. However, Gesica, the youngest, is currently in an urgent care clinic. Beyond immediate medicine, we are arranging for comprehensive family care to ensure the children have a healthy, clean environment in which to grow. Thank you for your support.
