I am reaching out because my family is facing an incredibly difficult time. We depend on government assistance to get by, and right now, the food stamp program has a backlog that’s left us without any support. Our only source of income is food stamps, and with the current delay, we won’t receive any benefits for another eight weeks. That means two months with no food on the table for my six children and two adults. My husband is in a wheelchair, and I am unable to work since all of my children are still very young and need constant care. We are doing everything we can to get through this, but we have nothing at this time and are desperate for help. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward putting food on the table for my family.
