<div>Ashley LaShay Elkins had big dreams for herself and her two young sons. Tragically, those dreams were cut short on January 2, 2025. Now, at just 10 and 7, her boys face not only the loss of their beloved mother, but also uncertainty about their care and their future. We are committed to ensuring they are well cared for and have the support and resources they need to keep dreaming and achieve the future their mother envisioned for them.

<div>My name is Jillian Ripper. I’m looking to raise money for <strong>Frank Sawicki, who’s a blind man in our community</strong> and is most known for crossing the intersection at 12 and Main.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Frank, a resilient and independent blind individual who has been a valued member of our community for years. Despite facing numerous challenges, Frank has always maintained a positive spirit and determination to live life to the fullest.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Unfortunately, Frank is now facing a devastating crisis. Due to circumstances beyond their control, they are being evicted from their home and are struggling.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>As a blind individual, Frank faces unique challenges in accessing resources and support. That's why we, as a community, must come together to help. Your donation will go directly towards:

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>- Securing a home for Frank

</div>

<div>- Paying outstanding bills and debts

</div>

<div>- Covering essential expenses like food and healthcare

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Let's rally around Frank and show them that our community cares. Any contribution, big or small, will make a significant difference in their life. Please donate generously and share this campaign with others to help us reach our goal.

<div>It breaks my heart thinking of him losing his home due to not being able to afford rent at the motel. <strong>I think our community is more than capable of coming together and helping one of ours who needs it right now.</strong>

</div>

<div><strong><br /></strong>

</div>

<div><strong>As of 9-16-24 I have raised enough money to pay Franks debt with the motel and pay his rent through the end of October! I will be helping find frank the right resources to get into a assisted living facility due to being in his 70s and needing more help than he can do for himself </strong>

<div>In Loving Memory of Nelson Seto: Supporting His Family Through an Unexpected Loss

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Our hearts are heavy as we share the devastating news of Nelson Seto's sudden and untimely passing. Nelson was taken from us far too soon, leaving behind a profound legacy of service, friendship, and love.

</div>

<div>Nelson approached each day with boundless enthusiasm and a heart full of love for life itself. As a paramedic, he dedicated his life to saving others, making our community safer and touching countless lives through his work. Beyond his professional calling, Nelson was a remarkable human being – a great son and brother who made his family proud, a loving uncle who brought joy to his nieces and nephew, and a loyal friend who could always be counted on.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Those who knew Nelson will remember his boundless love for life and his gift for making everyone around him feel special. His passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of his family, friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to know him.

</div>

<div>We are creating this fundraiser to help ease their financial burden so they can focus on healing and honoring Nelson's beautiful legacy. All funds raised will go directly to Nelson's family.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>After years of unwavering dedication and countless overtime hours, he achieved his goal of purchasing his first home to provide a comfortable place for his mother to live. We hope to preserve this dream and ensure his mother can continue having this home as her sanctuary

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>No amount is too small, and every contribution makes a difference. If you are unable to donate at this time, please consider sharing this fundraiser with your network. Your support, whether through a donation or sharing this campaign, will help Nelson's family during this challenging time.

<div>Hello, let me tell you my story please!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am a mother of six young children. I have a determination to raise my children! I went to work on 2/11/2024 to support my family, my youngest child 7 months old was left in the care of his biological father. He was abused in his care by him, I was called from work to rush to my sons aid, at the hospital I was advised my son has second and third degree burns with rib fracture and brain bleeds. My son has multiple infections due to the burns and has been struggling to heal. We see some light as he is starting to progress! But with his time here children’s hospital he has now lost the tips of his fingers on his right hand.
</div>
<div>This beautiful child does not even know or understand the pain he is going thru do to someone that was to protect him!
</div>
<div>I am asking for help from the community with assistance for rehab, physical therapy and the financial support to be able to stay with him thru this pain and journey!
</div>
<div>I have five other children that need support at this time as well I am unable to work full time with all the care needed with my son.
</div>
<div>If you have the means and can help that would be greatly appreciated! If not that is okay sending your prayers are wonderful and appreciated!
</div>

</div>
<div>Sincerely
</div>

My son was abused by his own father

On Tuesday, September 8th, the lives of Chris and Angie were changed forever. A devastating wildfire surrounded the couple's home in the early hours of the morning, and despite the heroic efforts of Chris and Angie, Angie's mother, Peggy, and the couple's 13-year-old son, Wyatt, were killed by the fire. At first, Wyatt was missing and there was hope, but 2 days later he was found in the driver's seat of the family's car with his grandmother Peggy, his dog in his lap and had not survived the Santiam fire. Angie is in critical condition in the burn unit.<br /><br />What we know happened...there were high winds and the power went out and Chris had left to get a generator. Angie awoke to flames surrounding their home. Grandmother Peggy had broken her leg a week earlier and was awaiting surgery. Angie had loaded her mother in the car and by the time she got Wyatt and the animals, the car was surrounded by flames. Knowing it was life and death and there was no way to drive the car out, Angie told her 13 year old son Wyatt and his dog Duke to run. Angie stayed as long as possible to try to get her mother out of the car. but was not successful. She had no choice but to leave her mother, hoping Wyatt would be 10 minutes ahead of her. It was pitch black outside except for flames and smoke and their driveway was very long as was the road back to the main highway.  However, Wyatt did not keep going toward safety, and instead went back to the car and tried to drive his grandmother out of the flames. The road was so hot, it burnt the tires up. He was a heroic boy, trying against all odds to save his grandmother.  All this happened while his father Chris was desperately trying to get back to his family. Blockades had been set up and in desperation he ran the blockades. He found a woman on the road, wearing what looked like a bikini, feet burnt to the bone, unrecognizable. (We later learned the road was so hot she had wrapped her feet with her clothes which had burnt away.) Chris put this woman he did not recognize in the car and said he was sorry but he had to keep going to save his son and wife. Her mouth was black and was not able to speak, but finally whispered "I am your wife." After desperate searching, the car was found 2 days later with Wyatt in the driver's seat with his dog in his lap and his grandmother in the car. <br /><br />Angie survived the fire but suffered full-body burns and is currently in critical condition at the burn center in Portland. Her road to recovery will be a long one and will be further complicated by the devastating loss of her mother and child. <br /><br />The couple's home and possessions are gone. The medical costs from Angie's physical injuries will be enormous, plus the funeral expenses for Peggy and Wyatt. Chris and Angie's life will never be the same. While no amount of money can bring back Peggy and Wyatt, our family would be incredibly grateful for any help you can provide. This fund will help Chris and Angie deal with the extreme financial devastation this event has caused. <br /><br />Read more details about the tragic family loss from the devastating Oregon fires in this Statesman Journal story. <a href="https://www.statesmanjournal.com/in-depth/news/2020/09/10/oregon-wildfires-santiam-fire-evacuations-leave-family-members-dead/5759101002/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">What happened as told by Capi Lynn of the Statesman Journal</a> <br /><br />Peggy was a devoted grandmother who always had a smile on her face and always had kind words to give. Wyatt was a kindhearted, strong and brave young boy who was fascinated by trains and loved to go fishing. <br /><br />This fundraiser is organized by the Tofte family, Susan Vaslev and Mary Tofte, who are Chris Tofte's aunts and Tyler Vaslev who is Chris Tofte's cousin. Chris and Angie have approved this site as has their family. Funds raised will go directly to Angie and Chris for medical expenses, funeral expenses, expenses during recovery, and replacing everything they have lost. A legal trust account has been created and Chris and Angie are sole beneficiaries of the trust. <br /><br /><br />Peggy with great grandson Ezra<br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/51143114_1599862422559160_r.jpeg" alt="51143114_1599862422559160_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br /><br />The last time cousin Coby saw Wyatt.<br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/51143114_1599862530962209_r.jpeg" alt="51143114_1599862530962209_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br /><br />Wyatt's beloved dog Duke, shown here with his Christmas antlers, was with Wyatt until the end and died in his lap. <br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/51143114_1599875439784147_r.jpeg" alt="51143114_1599875439784147_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br /><br />Happier days with Angie, Peggy and Wyatt<br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/51143114_1599863192748702_r.jpeg" alt="51143114_1599863192748702_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br /><br />Christmas video from 2013 showing the sweet heart of young Wyatt. Son, grandmother die in fire mother in burn center

Zaid survived severe burns as a two year old when his bed accidentally caught fire. The funds raised for Zaid will be used first for functional surgeries and then for potential reconstructive procedures. The amount of surgeries Zaid needs is overwhelming. If each person reading this contributes $5 we will empower Zaid to live the best life possible. The SBSK community has rallied around others before. Let's show Zaid the love and friendship our community is known for. All donations will go directly to Zaid's family, through his mother Otaidia Carrillo. <br /><br />Zaid's Video: <a href="https://youtu.be/ST9vj2PAScY" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://youtu.be/ST9vj2PAScY</a>
