Christine Mueller was knocked off the Merritt Parkway by a swerving car on Saturday July 28th, on her way home to Florida from Vermont.  She hit a road sign and a rock and totaled her car and has been in the Norwalk Connecticut hospital recovering from her injuries.  She won't be able to bear weight or work for 4-6 weeks at least due to a hip fracture (among many others) and could use your support to pay her bills.  Any amount would be very welcome.  <br />All donated money will go directly to Chris. Thank you so much!

It was a slower night with few people bustling down Main Street. One of these people was our beloved friend Ryan C. Wear. Ryan enjoyed a casual night out with friends and then left Smokin Joe's Pub at closing. He was making the short walk home when he was hit and run over by a truck. The truck struck his head and rolled over his body. The driver did not stop to assist Ryan in any way, leaving him for dead. Thankfully, someone saw him lying unresponsive in the road and called an ambulance. Ryan was immediately rushed as a trauma alert to Sarasota Memorial Hospital in critical condition. After being in a coma for six days he awoke to a punctured lung, shattered leg, a battered and bruised body, and head trauma so severe his jaw was completely wired shut. Ryan is a beloved member of the Smokin Joe's family and Sarasota community. His road to recovery is going to be a long one paved with a lot of bills. Hello loves,<br /><br /><br />As some of you may know, I have been going back to school to get my degree in Religious Studies through Liberty University.  With recent changes to my vocation, I have been praying how the Lord would use me next.  My heart and passion is to use my experiences so far in life to help women and children by sharing the rescuing love of God and to help bring peace and joy by sharing the gospel of Jesus. I have been praying over Isaiah 6:8, “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send?  And who will go for us?’ and I said, ‘Here I am.  Send me!”  After many months of praying, I felt the Lord pushing me towards completing a mission trip this summer in between semesters at school. I have always said I wanted to make the world a better place. I see so many lost and hurt. I am only one person but with the Holy Spirit in me I believe us together can make a beautiful impact on this world. I am ready to be a voice for the lost and hurting. I want to be the Lords hands and feet. God said go and I am obedient to Him, so here I am on my way to follow the Lord's calling on my life. <br /><br />            I will be raising funds to attend a two week mission trip to Cambodia and Thailand to partner with Destiny Rescue with other mission partners from around the world.  Destiny Rescue is an internationally-recognized Christian non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing children trapped in the sex trade and human trafficking.  Their vision is to rescue the sexually exploited and enslaved, restore the abused, protect the vulnerable, empower the poor and be a voice for those who can’t speak up for themselves.  Destiny Rescue realizes that human trafficking is a global problem.  They are determined to respond to God’s call to set captives free worldwide. Until no more children are sold, forced or coerced into the sex trade, Destiny Rescue is fully committed to fighting for their freedom, their restoration and their futures. <br /><br /><br /> The Bible says, “Free those who are wrongly imprisoned; lighten the burden of those who work for you. Let the oppressed go free, and remove the chains that bind people” (Isaiah 58:6 NLT).  <br /><br /><br />Please consider prayerfully supporting me! Whether it’s 1 dollar or 100 dollars, any amount goes towards the team trip to Cambodia and Thailand. It includes flights, accomodation, meals, and transport.  Through this you are helping me serve and make a difference in the lives of children rescued from human trafficking and in impacting Gods Kingdom through ministry, evangelism, and advocacy, all for the glory of the Lord, Jesus Christ! <br /><br /><br />            I understand that it is a short turn around on raising funds as I need to raise $4,000 by June 1st for the trip in July.  But I know if God calls me to it, He will bring me through it. The original purpose of this arrangement was to provide stability for my child and prevent constant rent increases so I could focus on working and raising her without disruption. Unfortunately, the situation has become unsafe, unpredictable, and emotionally harmful.

<div>After I declined to lend my vehicle late at night due to my responsibility to ensure my daughter was rested and at school the next morning for an important test, he became verbally aggressive. Following that incident, he informed me that he intends to more than double the rent and now demands first month, last month, and security deposit totaling nearly $8,000, due by February 28th. These terms were never discussed and are not financially feasible for me as a single mother, especially with no notice and immediately after Christmas.

<div>My daughter overheard the confrontation, which deeply concerns me. Her emotional well-being, sense of safety, and stability are my highest priorities. This situation has also forced me to confront a painful reality I hoped would be different. I grew up experiencing physical, verbal, emotional, and mental abuse from my father, which is why I have always maintained firm boundaries to protect my child. For that reason, I have never allowed my daughter to stay overnight in his home. Protecting her has always come first.

Rather than put that amount of money into a situation where housing can be threatened or used as leverage, I want to put those funds toward securing a home that no one can take away from us. A place where my daughter can feel safe, stable, and at peace.

<div>Rent is extremely expensive, and securing a new place requires first month, last month, and security deposit. In addition to housing costs, I need to cover moving expenses, including a U-Haul rental, movers, packing supplies, and related costs. All of this adds up quickly and was not something I was prepared for without warning.

<div>I am seeking assistance to cover housing deposits, moving costs, and immediate relocation expenses so I can provide my daughter with a calm, secure home where she can thrive.
