<div>Susan faced many personal challenges throughout her life, and while this loss is deeply painful, we are choosing to come together to support the people she loved most—her sons, Eric and Austin, and her grandson, Jordan, who is just 8 years old.

<div>Eric, 35, is doing his best to navigate this loss while continuing to care for his son, Jordan. Austin, 19, was still living at home and is now facing the sudden reality of stepping into adulthood without his mom. As you can imagine, this is an incredibly difficult and overwhelming time for all of them.

<div>This fundraiser is simply to help ease some of the immediate financial pressures and provide stability as they adjust to life after this loss. Funds will go toward basic living expenses, housing, and helping Austin maintain a stable home environment during this transition.

Support Eric & Austin After the Loss of Their Mom

<div>Our family is going through one of the most difficult times we have ever faced.
</div>
<div><strong>Recently, our home was severely damaged after a sprinkler system pipe bursted during extreme cold weather, causing extensive flooding throughout all three floors.</strong> The damage was so severe that the house had to be fully gutted. We have been told it will be at least 4-5 months before we can even think about moving back in.

<div>We are a family of five temporarily living out of a hotel, without insurance reimbursement for the costs. Despite having coverage, we recently discovered that because of a policy adjustment, our current homeowners insurance policy does not include coverage for Additional Living Expenses (ALE). As a result, this has left us covering these unexpected living expenses entirely on our own, while still covering the normal costs of our mortgage and living/health expenses.

<div>In the midst of this displacement, we also experienced the heartbreaking loss of our beloved beloved 15-year-old dog, Rocco. Losing him in the middle of this chaos has added another layer of heartbreak and grief to an already overwhelming situation.

<div>We never imagined we would be in a position where we needed to ask for help, but the financial pressure of months of displacement without insurance assistance is simply more than we can manage alone.

Support for Daniella's Family During Displacement

<div>Hi, my name is Shannan, and I’m hoping to raise funds for the Benson Family in their time of need. Lorena Benson has been a coworker of mine for over 10 years. I’ve always admired her strength and independence. Four years ago her son Hunter was diagnosed with Duchene Muscular Dystrophy, which is characterized by a progressive loss of muscle. It affects many parts of the body resulting in deterioration of the skeletal, heart, and long muscles.

<div>Lorena, Mike, and Hunter have battled this disease courageously and independently to this point, but with the progression of his disease Hunter is facing the loss of mobility causing him to need a powered device to get around. As his condition continues to progress he will soon need a powered wheelchair, and his parents will need a special van to transport him. They will also need to make modifications to their home to make it handicap accessible.

<div>To know Hunter is to love him. Despite everything this young man has and will continue to face, he is a ray of sunshine. He loves to draw, play video games, the trumpet, and the keyboard. He is a 5th grade student at Mid Valley where he excels academically.

<div>I’m looking to help raise funds to ease the financial burden for the Benson family. Insurances will not cover the accessible van or their home modifications.

<div>Recently, we learned the terrible news that one of our 8th-grade football players, Sebastian Trotta, was diagnosed with leukemia. Learning that one of ours is going through this adversity is not easy. But we know that Sebastian will fight and that our team and community will surround Seb and his family to help them through this tough time.

<div>Hi Everyone, This is my nephew Thomas "Tommy" Gallinot. Tommy is a quiet, caring young man who is always willing to help. He was working in his community at a local nursing home assisting with the dietary needs of the elderly residents while pursuing his true passion is to be a computer engineer and was excited to be attending classes at Penn State University.
</div>

<div>In Feb 2023, Tommy noticed a lump on the side of his ribcage. His Mom (Melanie Gallinot) wasted no time in getting it checked. He was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma. Ewings Sarcoma is a very rare malignant cancerous bone tumor affecting kids and young adults. It was a shock to our whole family (like most families) but nothing prepared his parents (Melanie Gallinot and Tom Gallinot) nor Tommy for the intensive treatment plan that they have to execute in order to battle and beat this aggressive cancer. Tommy and his Mom travel 1.5 hours to the hospital every other week to be admitted for a 5-day treatment of chemotherapy. Because of the many challenges that chemo presents, it is not uncommon for Tommy and his Mom to travel multiple times to the hospital in between scheduled treatments. His battle reached the next phase in June, where he had a 6-hour surgery to remove the tumor from his chest wall. He had to have 3 ribs removed, his chest wall reconstructed with mesh, and his diaphragm reconstructed. The surgery was a success but Tommy still has a long way to go. 10 days after surgery, during a check-up, Tommy once again had to be admitted to the hospital for a blood clot for 3 days. Not long after that fluid started to build up and Tommy was admitted again for an aspiration procedure to remove excess fluid from his chest. A week later, now July, Tommy was admitted again with a fever, a staph infection, and CDIFF. He will undergo surgery tomorrow, July 26, to replace the mesh that reconstructed his chest wall. The next phase of his treatment plan requires a combination of chemotherapy and radiation therapy for an additional 5 months.
</div>

<div>This young man is extremely positive and says " I will do what I have to do to get better". He does not complain. He is modest and finds happiness in the little things. He tries to see his friends to play Dungeon and Dragons together; and enjoys a good book. He loves spending time with his dogs and smiles when he can convince his sister to take him to Dunkin Donuts. ( for a coffee and a bagel). He continues to amaze me with a positive outlook. His parents and the entire family are very positive and hopeful for his recovery from this awful disease.

<div>His Oncologist and the hospital are located 1.5 hours away and many times they travel 2-3 times a week back and forth.
</div>
