How is it that some people who study English formally speak it less fluently than those who’ve never had formal instruction? For more than twenty years, I’ve investigated why conventional English teaching leaves so many learners confused or unable to use what they’ve learnt confidently. Through my audio-visual series, The English Problem, and my Insider English (dot ONLINE) website, I examine at least 18 familiar assumptions about English grammar. I reveal patterns obscured by inherited, Latin-based explanations and present a clearer, more cognitively accessible approach to the world’s lingua franca. My ELT Reform project invites educators, researchers and learners to question these assumptions, test new explanations and help reshape English-language teaching. I’m now seeking support to turn this lifelong work into accessible courses, videos and practical resources for educators worldwide. If you have a stake in the future of English-language teaching, I invite you to explore the project, share it and contribute to its development. English belongs to the world and should be a human right—not a lucrative business. How we teach it matters. Help me bring my project into the open. Thank you!
How is it that those who study English formally often speak less fluently than those who haven't? I'm reaching out to those who care about improving English teaching to go and view my audio-visual series "The English Problem” and multiple videos on my playlist “Insider English,” wherein I announce at least 18 aspects of grammar (terminology) that challenge flawed latin-based approaches to English, content that holds the missing pieces, revealing how English actually “works” and how the learning process will greatly improve once the outdated ones are removed or reformed in mainstream curricula. I am confident that my approach to English is also a more neuro-friendly one. This is a call, to all those who (have) invested stocks and shares in the business that ELT has become, to study my content and to consider supporting my lifelong work. Thanking you in advance for your attention and support.
