<div>These songs are slightly different from my previously released music. They are reminiscent of the roots of why I first started writing. They are very personal, drawing from my relationship with God, my spiritual life, the Psalms and other subjects close to my heart. They discuss the journey of longing and desiring something more, which I believe many people can relate to. I long for this album to be an invitation to a bountifully set table, where you can sit down, rest, receive, and be refreshed.

<div>Recording music can feel like climbing a mountain. It takes time, effort, and financial investment. I know that I won't be able to reach the pinnacle without your help. Would you be a part of this journey and make this project possible?

<div>Making an album usually costs around £10,000. £3,500 would be the minimum i'd need to help cover the costs for a (very generous) producer. If I was able to raise more money, I would love to invest it in featuring musicians, recording location and the creating of merchandise.

<div>Diese Lieder sind etwas anders als meine zuvor veröffentlichte Musik. Sie erinnern an die Wurzeln, warum ich überhaupt mit dem Schreiben begonnen habe. Sie sind sehr persönlich und schöpfen aus meiner Beziehung zu Gott, meinem spirituellen Leben, den Psalmen und anderen Themen, die mir sehr nahe stehen. Es sind Lieder, die von der Reise des Verlangens und dem Wunsch nach etwas Mehr erzählen, von denen ich glaube, dass sich viele Menschen damit identifizieren können.

<div>Whilst competing at the European Team championships in Poland last weekend, I ruptured my Achilles tendon. One of the worst injuries that can happen to an athlete.
</div>

</div>
<div>I'm absolutely devastated, as High Jump is my whole life. I can't put into words how hard it's going to be to live without it for almost a year. But, I have accepted that it has happened, I am staying positive and putting all my thoughts and energy into how I can have the best recovery possible, so that I can get back to my life and my career, because being an athlete means everything to me.
</div>

<div>Having the best recovery possible requires me to have surgery immediately. I have decided to go private to ensure that I am seen by a specialist in the field of power events/sports trauma injuries. This surgeon has been called the "king of tendons" and is considered one of the world's best sports surgeons. The surgery needs to be carried out AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if I'm to have any chance at recovering in time for the Olympic Games next year in Paris. Having a specialist is the only option to ensure I get back to the same level of fitness, strength and confidence I had pre-injury.

<div>I've started this go fund me page to help with the cost of the surgery. I am a part-time supply teacher and since graduating from university have been balancing teaching with my athletics career. It's not easy balancing being a full-time athlete with working as a teacher to make a living, but I do what is necessary to allow me to compete at the level I do and live out my dreams. So not only has this injury affected my athletics career, but it has also affected my teaching career and therefore my source of income. Due to being a supply teacher (I will not have any sick pay as I am effectively self-employed). Therefore, whilst I am unable to work in schools due to limited mobility or compete, I will not be earning any money.

<div>This injury has flipped my whole life upside down and that is why any help towards affording this surgery would mean the absolute world to me, even if it's just sharing this page I would be forever grateful.

GB High Jumper funding for Achilles Surgery

<p>As you may know, our beloved Jaime is pregnant with her second miracle baby boy, Chase. Jaime, Steve and big brother Blake are so grateful, full of love and cannot wait to welcome baby Moreno into the familia. As much as they are enjoying the pregnancy and keeping an optimistic mindset through it all, they have a harsh reality to face once Chase makes his arrival.
</p>
<p>Their baby boy on the way was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). It's a severe congenital heart defect that will require him to have 2 open heart surgeries before he's 6 months old and at least 1 more before he turns 3. His road after that will always be one of constant monitoring. Not to mention, doctor visits to ensure things are functioning normally and heart transplants are very common for HLHS kiddos.

<p>Anyone who knows Jaime and Steve know they are the kindest, funniest, and most thoughtful friends to us all. They rarely ask for anything and do not air their hardships on social media. Today is Jaime's birthday and all she is asking for are good vibes/prayers for their baby boy to live a long and healthy life.

Mr Jacob Attah Akoh, who hails from Adupi, has been supporting this school for some years. As a tribute to him and his legacy on the occasion of his 70th birthday, we are inviting you to contribute to this most worthy cause.

<div>Our aim is to build and equip the run-down school with adequate facilities that are conducive to effective teaching and learning; including building and equipping of 2 classroom blocks, a science lab, a library and a borehole system. Your generosity will be greatly appreciated and will enhance the prospects and life chances of many children.
