We are raising £45,000 for an education project to support a local secondary school in Adupi, Kogi State, Nigeria. Mr Jacob Attah Akoh, who hails from Adupi, has been supporting this school for some years. As a tribute to him and his legacy on the occasion of his 70th birthday, we are inviting you to contribute to this most worthy cause.

Our aim is to build and equip the run-down school with adequate facilities that are conducive to effective teaching and learning; including building and equipping of 2 classroom blocks, a science lab, a library and a borehole system. The school’s alumni and the Parents Teachers Association have been instrumental in making some improvements but much remains to be done. Your generosity will be greatly appreciated and will enhance the prospects and life chances of many children.

100% of the money donated will go directly to executing this project. Any amount that you give will make a huge difference; no amount is too small.

For example:

- ₦15,000 (£7.50) provides 1 wooden chair and desk for a pupil. We aim to provide 130 desks and chairs.

- ₦720,000₦ (£358) pays a support teacher for one year. We want to employ 6 teachers.

- ₦3,750,000₦ (£1,900) installs a safe, reliable borehole and water system.

- ₦15,950,000₦ (£8,000) completes a half built 4-classroom block including furniture and a whiteboard.
