It’s hard to believe it’s been six months since our last update! We wanted to share where Marcy is in her journey today and, as always, say a huge thank you to everyone who continues to cheer her on! Since our last update, Marcy has checked some pretty big things off the list. After her major surgery in March, she spent the spring recovering and then headed back into surgery in June to reverse her ileostomy. She absolutely crushed both surgeries, recoveries, and lifestyle changes like a champ. Her strength, resilience, and ability to keep moving forward never cease to amaze us. In May, routine scans and blood work showed trace amounts of cancer still present. While it wasn’t the news we were hoping for, Marcy and her care team quickly made a plan and she started another round of chemotherapy at the end of July. The good news is that her follow-up scans since restarting treatment have shown that things remain stable. She’ll continue chemotherapy every two weeks over the next several months as her team works to keep things moving in the right direction. And through it all, Marcy is still very much being Marcy: taking things one day at a time, finding the humor where she can, and continuing to show everyone around her what strength and resilience look like. This journey continues and there is so much to be hopeful about. We’ll keep taking the wins, celebrating the good days, and cheering Marcy on through every step! So, Team Marcy, keep the good vibes, encouragement, and positive energy coming. Your messages and support have meant more than we could ever put into words, and we know Marcy feels every bit of it! With love, Team Marcy
