This fundraiser is for our sweet, strong Marcy, whose world was turned upside down on June 19th. What began as a routine colonoscopy quickly turned into a life-changing diagnosis: stage 4 colorectal cancer. Not long after, Marcy celebrated her 36th birthday—an age she never imagined facing a battle like this.

If you know Marcy, you know she’s thoughtful to her very core, effortlessly hilarious, and always on the move—balancing a lively social calendar with her loving family and an incredible circle of friends who cherish her deeply. Her community runs so wide and strong, and now it’s our turn to show her just how much our love and support can lift her up. She’s fiercely independent and rarely asks for help, but right now, she needs us.

The road ahead in treatment brings exhausting rounds of chemo, endless appointments, potential surgeries and unexpected expenses for things like co-pays for treatments, prescription medications, specialized nutrition, additional medical care, and everyday expenses that don’t pause during illness. While she has an amazing support system and is in excellent hands at the Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Young-Onset Colorectal Cancer, there’s so much insurance doesn’t cover.
