 On October 22, 2026, my mom, Sanovia Lovejoy, experienced a life-changing medical emergency.
</div>
<div>
 While at work, my mom began feeling ill and experiencing severe chest pains. She reached out to a few of her colleagues for help, and after seeing the seriousness of her condition, the school’s SRO immediately called EMS. When Grady EMS arrived at the school, she went into cardiac arrest. The Grady EMS team and the school officer worked tirelessly to save her life through CPR. Although they were able to get her to Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, she was in a very critical condition.
</div>
<div>
 At Piedmont, the doctors continued to lifesaving measures before finally being able to get her stable enough to clear the blockage in her heart. Thanks to the incredible efforts of the dedicated medical team, they were able to save our mom’s life.
</div>
<div>
 My mom is still in the ICU at Piedmont Atlanta, fighting hard and beginning her road to recovery. This has been an incredibly frightening and overwhelming time for our family, and we are taking things one day at a time while holding on to hope and praying for her continued healing.
</div>
<div>
 As my mom focuses on getting better, our family is facing the uncertainty of future medical expenses, household bills, and other financial responsibilities during this difficult time.
</div>
<div>
 If you are able and willing to help, any donation, no matter how big or small, would mean so much to us. Your generosity will help ease some of the financial burden as my mom continues to receive care and work toward recovery.
</div>
<div>
 If you are unable to donate, we completely understand. Sharing this page, keeping my mom in your thoughts and prayers, and sending words of encouragement are also deeply appreciated.
</div>
<div>
 From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, prayers, kindness, and support during this difficult journey.We are grateful for everyone who is standing with our family as Sanovia continues to fight and recover. ❤️
</div>
<div>
 Every prayer, every share, and every donation makes a difference.

Help Support Sanovia Lovejoy on Her Road to Recovery ❤️

<div>
 Sarah, a dedicated Pre-K teacher and single mother of two young children, was recently involved in a serious car accident that left her with multiple significant injuries, including a lacerated kidney, two pelvic fractures, a fractured fourth rib, and a fracture of her C6 vertebra in her neck.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 These injuries will require significant time, rest, follow-up care, and rehabilitation. Because Sarah teaches Pre-K, her job is especially physical. Her days normally involve constant standing and walking, bending, lifting, getting down on the floor with students, and closely supervising young children. It may be some time before she is physically able to safely return to her classroom.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Sarah works at a private school and does not have paid medical leave available to cover an extended recovery. She will have to use the PTO she has accumulated, and once that is exhausted, her time away from work will be unpaid.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 On top of the medical and financial challenges ahead, Sarah will also need to replace her vehicle following the accident. As a single mother raising two young children, reliable transportation will be essential for getting to medical appointments, caring for her children, and eventually returning to work.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 We are starting this fundraiser to help ease some of that financial pressure so Sarah can focus on healing and taking care of her family. Donations will help with lost income, medical expenses, rehabilitation and follow-up appointments, transportation, the cost of replacing her vehicle, and everyday living expenses during her recovery.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Sarah spends her days caring for and supporting young children, and now we would like to give her some of that same support while she works toward getting back on her feet and, eventually, back to her students.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Any amount helps, and if you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Thank you for supporting Sarah and helping make her recovery a little easier.

Help Sarah Recover After a Serious Car Accident

<div>UPDATE: The goal has been reached!! For the community to come together and support me in this way the last two days brings me an overwhelming amount of joy. To each and every last donation, share, word of encouragement, etc., from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I have now paused donations, but still welcome any and all support!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>From my mom: I want to thank each and everyone, my entire family thank you all who donated, prayed, shared and just loved on my son when he needed it the most and I couldn’t. They say “ it takes a village” and our village showed up.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hey yall! My name is Jaylen Sanders. I am currently a graduating senior psychology major originally from Lansing, Michigan. I am also a leader of an aftercare elementary school math program under a nonprofit organization, Raising a Village. My ultimate goal is to become a school counselor and musician.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since 2020, I have been an undergraduate student at Howard University. To be honest, it hasn’t been easy in the slightest. My journey has been one of many challenges, setbacks, and trauma that’s too much to even begin to explain. Despite all that I’ve been through since being here, from assault to nearly dropping out, I’ve stayed strong and finally made it to the finish line. For once, I believed the perseverance had paid off.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A week before my last official day of class, however, me and my family have been hit with an unimaginable financial aid burden, as a parent PLUS loan that was originally approved for us back in August has now been cancelled 8 months later. This loan would’ve covered my remaining balance; without the loan, we are left owing over $57,000 to the university in order for me to graduate.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am a first generation college student, with only a single mother supporting me back home. For my mom, brother, sister, and 5 year old niece to see me walk across the stage after all I’ve been through to get here would be a dream come true. As a family, we’ve been through so much already. My mom hasn’t even been able to work in a year due to medical leave. This not only means the world to me, but to the people I love the most who want me to succeed. I’ve worked hard through every obstacle, and to have my dreams in jeopardy of being ripped away from me is causing me extreme mental distress.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To raise this money and obtain my bachelor’s degree will put me in a position to continue my work in the education system and help young kids achieve their dreams as well. This is a big ask, and it has taken everything in me to put my pride aside and ask for this, but I need more help than ever. If you can donate anything, or even share and repost everywhere, it would mean the world to me and then some!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for hearing my story.
