<div>After the war, my husband lost his job and my eldest son Khader was injured in his foot and my young son suffered from shortness of breath due to the smell of missiles and they are in dire need of treatment, and now we have no source of income. We cannot provide the basics of life or healthy food, we live on nursing homes and aid and wait for hours to get a plate for a large family, and canned food full of preservatives that have exhausted and destroyed our bodies and the bodies of my family.  I cannot even buy medicine for my children to relieve severe pain, due to the high prices.

Every day I live in a constant nightmare, as the war here seems as if it will never end. Every day, it robs us of our lives, our possessions, and our hope.

Our lives are constantly at risk, whether from violence or hunger.  I lost my job because of the war, and now I can't support my family. <div>This is Mohammed Safi, and I come to you with a heart weighed down by loss and unimaginable pain. Putting my story into words feels like reliving a nightmare, but I write this with hope — hope that you might hear my voice, feel my pain, and extend a hand to help my family survive and rebuild.

<div>I am a father, a husband, an engineer, and a proud resident of Gaza. Today marks the 425th day of a war that has shattered our lives beyond recognition. Life in Gaza is no longer life as the world knows it. We live in constant fear, with the deafening sounds of bombs becoming part of our daily reality. We've been displaced time and time again, endlessly searching for a place of safety that simply does not exist here.

<div>But the greatest wound of all is the loss of my children.
</div>

</div>
<div>On November 25th, my wife and I welcomed our beautiful twins, Ahmad and Rahaf, into the world. For a brief moment, we were overcome with joy — a ray of light in the surrounding darkness. But the war stole that light from us. On December 7th, while we were sheltering in Al-Yaman Hospital, Israeli forces bombarded the area with white phosphorus bombs, weapons banned under international law. My son Ahmad, so tiny and innocent, could not survive the toxic fumes. I held his lifeless body in my arms, unable to comprehend the horror.

<div>Less than three weeks later, on December 29th, my daughter Rahaf began struggling to breathe. Gaza's hospitals, crippled by relentless attacks, had no oxygen to save her. I watched helplessly as her tiny chest rose and fell for the last time. In less than a month, I lost both of my babies to this war. No parent should ever endure this pain.

The small market I ran to support my family has been destroyed. The engineering job I once had is no longer available due to the ongoing war. We now live with nothing but the clothes on our backs and the scars on our hearts.

In Memory of Kristen Watson

I’m so incredibly saddened and devastated by the loss of our good friend Nicole Shamoun.  Nicole and I had known each other since I went to school at UCSB, nearly 15 years ago. 4 years ago she came to work for me at Beal Real Estate. Since that time our friendship blossomed to new levels and while I was her broker, we spoke on a daily basis as friends and coworkers. She was one of the hardest working people I know with the biggest heart. She was so in love with her baby boy Camden and did everything she could to provide for him and be the best mother possible. Having Cam in the office always made me smile. <br /><br /><br />The last two years I watched her become a true professional. Nicole was always in the office picking my brain and proactively educating herself so that she could best serve her clients. Nicole literally worked 7 days a week and still managed to balance being an incredible mother. On Saturday, July 7th, an amazing friend, brother, father, husband, uncle, cousin of many was admitted into Scripps Intensive Care Unit in Encinitas with a severe infection.  Over the past 5 days his body has been producing heavy amounts of lactic acid which was preventing the antibiotics to work.  <br /><br />As of July 12th the dialysis is starting to work which is allowing small improvements.  Mike Ray is still in ICU on heavy medication and in an induced coma. <br /><br />For now though, many of us want to gather and share the love and support for him.  If you have the desire to support in a tangible way, any kind of donation to help the future financial challenges for Angie, Deegan and Mike Ray would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! <br /><br />#MiracleMike
