<div>We are reaching out to you today with heavy hearts and a plea for help. Our beloved father, Tim, experienced a devastating accident while working for a friend that has changed his life forever. After a fall, Tim sustained a severe brain injury resulting in a brain bleed and broke his back, causing spinal cord damage. Leaving Tim a paraplegic with a long and challenging road to recovery.

<div>Tim has always been a hardworking, kind, and caring individual. He has been a rock for our family, always putting others before himself. If you know my dad even a little bit, then you know he is one of the most amazing people who's faith guides everything he does. He is consistently in service of others and one of the most unselfish people we know. Tim is such an important part of so many communities, from his local church, Our Lady Parish, his men's F3 group, the ACTS Team, Adventure Racing, and so many more, Tim has always been there for others. Now, it’s our turn to be there for him.

<div>Tim’s recovery journey will be long, difficult, and expensive. From medical bills to physical therapy, home modifications, and ongoing care, the financial burden is overwhelming. Tim will need specialized equipment, a wheelchair accessible home, and more. His medical needs will continue for the foreseeable future, and unfortunately, his work life has been impacted due to the severity of his injury.

But instead of returning to school that day, he found himself at Mercy Children’s Cancer Clinic. <br /><br />That was the day Cole was diagnosed with Leukemia. <br /><br />In the past few weeks, Cole has already underwent surgery and chemotherapy treatments, and the road ahead is a long one. The next three years involve ongoing chemotherapy treatments, more bone marrow biopsies, and other hospital expenses.  <br /><br />Fortunately, Cole has a 90 percent chance of survival awaiting him at the end of the tunnel…but he needs our help. To lighten the Fletcher family’s burden, Arash Amini has set up a GoFundMe account to raise <strong>$50,000</strong>, which won’t even cover half of Cole’s medical bills.  <br /><br />Your donation is sure to lessen the family’s burden. The barriers around the driveways need repaired or replaced. I would like to have a a better cleaning area with a cover. Also on the wish list is a formal "boot cleaning area" outside. <br /><br />HOWEVER the <strong>MOST IMPORANT</strong> thing is to get the two bathrooms in the bedrooms fixed once and for all. This will be the most expensive part of the undertaking.<br /><br /> The money raised will be deposited into my personal checking account and  I will personally ensure that 100% of it will be used to make our guests stay as pleasant as possible. If any is left over I will buy my wife some chocolate covered strawberries for giving up 50% of her house, 50% of her yard and 90% of her husband! :-)

<div>Wake Up Jeffco, LLC is a grassroots civic organization based in Jefferson County, MO, dedicated to advocating for transparency and accountability from our local government. Recently, the City of Festus and the Festus City Council have moved forward with plans to allow a data center to be built on land that was previously zoned as residential and agricultural use. This land, now rezoned to industrial, is surrounded by homes and families who will be directly impacted by the development. Our community was not given the transparency or opportunity for input that we deserve, and many residents are concerned about the effects this project will have on our resources, property values, health, wildlife, pets, and quality of life.

<div>This is just the beginning. All of Jefferson County is being targeted for an industrial invasion. Our coalition is dedicated to preserving the natural rural and semi-rural surroundings for all cities and municipalities within the borders of Jefferson County. We believe that protecting our environment and way of life is essential for current and future generations.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward supporting our efforts to protect our community and hold our leaders accountable.
