Wake Up Jeffco, LLC is a grassroots civic organization based in Jefferson County, MO, dedicated to advocating for transparency and accountability from our local government. Recently, the City of Festus and the Festus City Council have moved forward with plans to allow a data center to be built on land that was previously zoned as residential and agricultural use. This land, now rezoned to industrial, is surrounded by homes and families who will be directly impacted by the development. Our community was not given the transparency or opportunity for input that we deserve, and many residents are concerned about the effects this project will have on our resources, property values, health, wildlife, pets, and quality of life.

This is just the beginning. All of Jefferson County is being targeted for an industrial invasion. Our coalition is dedicated to preserving the natural rural and semi-rural surroundings for all cities and municipalities within the borders of Jefferson County. We believe that protecting our environment and way of life is essential for current and future generations.

To address these concerns, Wake Up Jeffco, LLC is raising funds to cover the costs of legal representation, Sunshine Law requests, outreach, and administrative expenses. These resources will enable us to challenge the rezoning process, demand transparency from our elected officials, and ensure that the voices of Festus and Jefferson County residents are heard. Every dollar raised will go directly toward supporting our efforts to protect our community and hold our leaders accountable.
