Hi my name is Olivia Martinez and my husband or 50 years Joe Martinez was in a severe car accident on 4/29/24 on the 805 freeway where my grandson and Joe were rear ended by another car. Joe hit his head on the roof of the car causing spinal cord injury and was sedated for multiple days as he underwent surgery where the put in metal rods and bolts in his neck. Joe is currently in the icu on a breathing tube, feeding tube and cannot walk. Joe’s road to recovery is going to be a difficult one but my husband is driven and never backed down from any challenges in the 50 years of our marriage. Please help with unexpected medical expenses and Joe’s recovery and thank you for your support.

My name is Dwayne Quamina and I started this GoFund Me for my father in law Joe Martinez. The funds will be used to help cover medical expenses and to help with repairs around to house to help Joe be mobile and safe. All funds will be managed by Olivia Martinez who I have appointed as the beneficiary on behalf of Joe. Again I would like to thank everyone who has supported this cause so far and it is greatly appreciated by Joe, Olivia, myself and the entire family.

Contributing to our riser fundraiser allows Castillero Drama families and surrounding community to experience the performing arts and the magic of theatre. Your donation brings us one step closer to giving drama students a real theatre experience with an audience full of friends and family! Risers provide better viewing for the back half of our theater and allows more seats to be offered for each performance.

In the past, risers were rented at the cost of $2,000 per show. With three shows per year, that $6,000. This takes away the majority of the profits we make. Sadly, we are not able to reinvest in our drama program for new costumes, lighting, props, and technology. By donating today, you not only help us purchase our own riser system, you'll be helping pay for the enrichment of our program in other areas. The new riser system will be foldable and rollable allowing ease of use and storage.

Thank you so much for your support!
Ms. Jones (drama director) and Castillero Drama Students

Millicent Ashby Gentry died suddenly on July 28, 2014 of Leptomeningial Carcinoma, a rare complication of her 16-month battle with Triple-Negative Breast Cancer. She was 27 and left behind her husband, Joshua, and a loving family. They all dedicated their time and resources into helping Millicent fight her battle.
Millicent had a zest for life and a love for people that was reflected in all that she did. She served an 18-month LDS mission to Germany, and upon her return was a full time student at CSU Stanislaus. Despite the rigors of chemotherapy and radiation treatments, she was able to graduate this past May with her BA in English.
We will miss her smile and her loving heart. Her example of fearlessness and hope will live on in us all, and we hope to honor her memory.
