There may be possible surgeries still to come and many months of intense physical therapy before even thinking about returning to work. Bruce in his current condition needs to get transported from Albany to Long Island. The insurance is not covering his transportation as his medical expenses have now exceeded his insurance coverage. He has no timeline for recovery.

<div>On Sunday, January 9 our community witnessed a tragedy in the Fordham Heights section of the Bronx. A 5-alarm fire destroyed the homes of many of our the Gambian Youth Organization (GYO) community members at 333 East 183rd Street. At the moment, at least 19 people have been pronounced dead, including young children, and dozens others have sustained life-threatening injuries.

I.A.T.S.E Local 52 and Local 4 member Kelly Britt was injured December 17th while getting his work day started. After the snow storm that hit NYC, he slipped on an ice patch causing him to break 2 bones in his right leg (Fibula and Tibia)  He is going to need surgery which will put titanium plates to patch it back together. His recovery time is at a minimum of 3 months. What a crazy year with COVID and finally getting back into the swing of things for such an accident. I am asking we help out our Brother Kelly Britt with whatever you can. With the stresses of the holidays and the new year let’s come together and help a pillar in the community.  Kelly would never ask anyone for anything but he deserves our help. Please share this campaign and let’s atleast let his healing be financially stress free.

Mark Selemon, Husband, Father, I.A.T.S.E. Local 52 Greensman, Friend.<br />I was working for Mark on an incredibly challenging movie this winter when he began having some issues we thought were related to a hip replacement a few years ago.<br />While undergoing imagery for his hip, doctors discovered his liver and pancreas were riddled with innumerable tumors. These turned out to be malignant.<br />Within three and a half weeks my friend went from a creative, active, vibrant, loving man to recieving at home hospice care as his body gave in to the ravages of this despicable diease. March 12, 2020 Mark Selemon succumbed  to his illness.<br />Mark and his wife Alyssa along with their children had spent many good years and good times on the East End on Long Island.<br />Montauk and Ditch Plains held a special place in his heart. Alyssa wishes to honor him with a memorial bench at Ditch Plains.<br />Please help us reach that goal.<br />Thank you for reading and caring.

Mike had an unfortunate accident at work  where a full dolly of plywood came down on his leg and foot breaking  the bones and foot.  I know Mike has a lot of friends looking to help him get through this, because of the text and phone calls I have been receiving.  .  He  had surgery to put to rods in his leg and pins in three toes  . He will need more operations on his foot just to get him back up walking again.  He has a long way to go to recover and needs our help.  To all our all our Brothers and Sisters we all come together in times of trouble to help one  another . This time its for our Brother and Friend Mike Scarola . With a little help from his friends he can get through this.

Mike McFadden was seriously injured on the set of "A Quiet Place” on Friday, October 27th.  He sustained injuries to his neck and spinal cord, which resulted in his having surgery to repair his neck vertebrae on Oct. 29th.   He is expected to recover;  however, he is facing an extended recovery time (several months) without being able to work.  Additionally, he is in substantial pain with limited mobility.<br /><br />As you can imagine, especially as the holiday season approaches, Mike is in a pretty bad situation.   He has a wife and a son in college, and his income flow will be interupted, to say the least, for quite some time.<br /><br />I am asking you for donations to help Mike to survive and get by during this period of recovery, and to help relieve him of financial stress during the holidays and after, until he can come back to work.  I know that Mike has been a great friend and co-worker to many of us in the Film Production business, and I know he has brought smiles to many of our faces over the years, with his irrepressible personality and good cheer.<br /><br />Now is our chance to repay Mike for all the fun he's provided us over the years by donating to Mike's GoFundMe account.  I'm sure you know in your heart that it's a great and wonderful thing to do for Mike and his familky,  to show your appreciation of all the great times and joy he's brought to all of us over the years.

Julia called for her mom and there on the terrace was a fire. Within minutes the flames engulfed the entire apartment. Thankfully Julia, her mom and her 4 year old brother Kasper were able to get out safely. Their dad rushed home from work to be with his family.<br /><br />They will begin the morning with nothing except the clothes they had on their backs last night- not a single item from their home was salvagable. They are starting over and are completely overwhelmed. <br /><br />We are starting this page to raise immediate emergency funds to help Monika, Kris and their kids Julia and Kasper get back up and running again.
