<div>La raccolta fondi <strong>Women with Gaza</strong> nasce dalle richiesta diretta di compagne e amiche che vivono a Gaza e dal desiderio di attivarci concretamente per migliorare le condizioni di vita a cui sono costrette migliaia di donne e ragazze dall'inizio del genocidio perpetrato da Israele contro tutta la popolazione palestinese.

<div>I fondi raccolti andranno a finanziare le attività proposte dalle associazioni di donne a Gaza.
</div>
<div>Ci sono più di 690.000 donne e ragazze con le mestruazioni nella Striscia di Gaza con un accesso limitato ai prodotti per l’igiene mestruale. La carenza di questi prodotti ha costretto molte donne e ragazze a improvvisare alternative, come utilizzare il tessuto delle tende. Ciò le espone a un aumento del rischio di infezioni e altre complicazioni mediche.

<div>Sulla base di questi dati forniti dalle organizzazioni di donne locali, abbiamo deciso di attivarci per sostenere - come primo progetto - la campagna EVA, proposta da una delle nostre amiche e coordinatrici, Randa Harara.

<div>Inoltre, coi fondi raccolti con questa campagna, continueremo a finanziare le distribuzioni di acqua e di verdure, ma soprattutto proseguiremo con il supporto delle attività proposte dalle coordinatrici locali per le donne e le ragazze del posto.
</div>
<div>Il denaro raccolto in Italia verrà inviato a Gaza grazie al supporto della ong ACS-Associazione Cooperazione e Solidarietà, riconosciuta da 30 anni e regolarmente registrata per svolgere attività umanitarie nella Striscia di Gaza.

<div><strong>QUAL E' AREA DI INTERVENTO?</strong>

<li>L'area di intervento cambia a seconda delle richieste di sfollamento di israele. Purtroppo ad oggi (agosto 2025) sono inesistenti aree in cui è possibile radicare un progetto, perchè i bombardamenti continuano a causare lo sfollamento di tutte le persone nei campi, comprese le nostre coordinatrici e le loro attività.

<div>Questa campagna è rivolta a tutte le persone che hanno fatto la scelta di non voltarsi dall'altra parte. Dal 2014 il Gaza Freestyle svolgeva attività di scambio culturale in quella che dal 2006 è considerata la prigione a cielo aperto più grande del mondo, Gaza.
</div>

<div>Grazie al Centro Vittorio Arrigoni con sede a Gaza City, abbiamo potuto dar vita a decine di progetti, di cui l'ultimo sarebbe stato supportare la costruzione della Casa internazionale delle Donne. Quello che era il territorio palestinese di Gaza prima dell'ottobre 2023, oggi non esiste più. Intere aree, intere famiglie e quasi tutte le sedi che abbiamo conosciuto in questi anni, sono state completamente cancellate.

<div>Il luogo in cui sarebbe dovuta sorgere la Casa è stato occupato dall'esercito israeliano, e la maggior parte delle donne che contribuivano alla creazione di questo posto sono sparite nel caos e nella violenza del genocidio. Coloro che sono riuscite a mantenere il contatto con noi, invece, si sono attivate fin da subito per sostenere la propria comunità, immaginando insieme a noi diverse strategie di supporto alla popolazione.

<div>L'alleanza costruita negli anni con le sorelle palestinesi che si trovano a vivere condizioni di oppressione - per cui la battaglia per l'autodeterminazione diventa lotta per la sopravvivenza e l'esistenza- è preziosa nella lotta al patriarcato di cui l'occupazione è manifestazione diretta. La doppia condizione di oppressione data dall'occupante e dal tradizionalismo conservatore, si traduce in un doppio nodo mortale per le donne palestinesi. Per sciogliere questo nodo è necessario capire che combattere il patriarcato nei propri territori significa anche sostenere la strada per l'autodeterminazione intrapresa a tutte le latitudini, coscienti che la grossa differenza nei diversi contesti è data principalmente dal privilegio di nascere in quella parte del mondo che fa le guerre e vende le armi altrove.

<div>My name is Osama. I am a Palestinian citizen who lives in Gaza City. I am 44, and my wife is 41 years old. I have three daughters and two sons. Our life was quiet and stable. My children went to school and led their lives normally. We did not know what was awaited us

<div>On 8th October, the neighbourhood in which I lived was bombed in an insane manner, and many buildings were destroyed, including the one in which I live. It was hit by several missiles, and my apartment was completely destroyed, in which we had the most beautiful memories of our life as a family. we have lost everything and ended up with nowhere or a place to go. It is impossible to restore everything that was destroyed and lost.

<div>We were celebrating my eldest daughter’s success in high school after she obtained an overall average of 90% just a couple of weeks before the war on Gaza started. We had promised her that she would enter the university and enrol in the speciality she dreamed of, and I registered her at Al-Azhar University in Gaza City.
</div>
<div>She was very happy and overwhelmed because she had moved from high school to university, but her happiness was incomplete because her university was destroyed during the ongoing brutal bombing.
</div>

<div>Since 7th October the situation began to deteriorate rapidly, starting with the bombing of the residential building in which our apartment was located, passing through the continuous daily suffering to secure water and food, all the way to the most difficult event on 13th October, which was the displacement from Gaza City to the middle and south of Gaza strip, leaving everything behind us. We were displaced more than once, the first time to Al-Bureij camp, but after the artillery shelling intensified there, we were displaced to the Al-Zawaida area, then to Rafah, and then to Deir Al-Balah in a tent in the open. Our suffering still continued for nearly five months now, in light of the cold, rainy weather and the lack of winter clothes, food, and water. At the time of our displacement, we had nothing to take with us as we lost it all. It has been five months of uncertainty, insecurity, instability, homelessness, and feeling foreignness at home.

Nostro obiettivo è la promozione della cultura palestinese in Italia e la realizzazione di progetti di giovani in Palestina. Andavo a Gaza spesso per incontrare le persone amiche, per verificare l'andamento dei progetti, anche di carattere musicale, come le borse di studio al Conservatorio Nazionale di musica Edward Said. Ho incontrato di nuovo Nashwa una giovane architetta archeologa che avevo conosciuta a Roma dove frequentava un seminario all' ICCROM (beni culturali). L'ho incontrata di nuovo a Gaza, mentre dirigeva un cantiere per il restauro di un antico edificio, trasformato in un centro con biblioteca per bambini/e. Siamo diventate amiche e ho conosciuto la sua grande famiglia. Insieme siamo andate nel loro agrumeto, bellissimo e abbiamo raccolto decine di arance e clementine! Nel 2021 è nato il suo piccolo. Mi ha fatto conoscere e amare molte bellezze archeologiche di Gaza. Nella attuale distruzione della guerra condotta da Israele, la loro casa e il loro agrumeto non esistono più. Hanno vissuto e vivono in una tenda, prima a Rafah, oggi a Deir El Balah. La vita è estremamente dura e difficile. Come migliaia di abitanti vuole uscire da Gaza e raggiungere l'Egitto. Adesso il passaggio è chiuso, dovrà riaprire, con costi per uscire verso l'Egitto, molto alti. Ma adesso anche per la vita quotidiana servono soldi. I prezzi dei beni di prima necessità sono triplicati o quadruplicati. Vogliamo aiutarla? Adesso a sopravvivere e, quando il valico aprirà, ad uscire, per ricominciare a vivere, con il suo bel bambino e suo marito e, le auguriamo, anche con le sue sorelle.

<div>I am president of the Cultura è Libertà association, a campaign for Palestine, founded in Rome in 2013. Our objective is the promotion of Palestinian culture in Italy and the realization of youth projects in Palestine. I often went to Gaza to meet friends, to check on the progress of projects, even of a musical nature, such as the scholarships at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music. I met Nashwa again, a young architect archaeologist who I had met in Rome where she was attending a seminar at ICCROM (cultural heritage). I met her again in Gaza, while she was managing a construction site for the restoration of an ancient building, transformed into a center with a library for children. We became friends and I met her large family. Together we went to their beautiful citrus grove and picked dozens of oranges and clementines! Her baby was born in 2021. She made me know and love many archaeological beauties of Gaza. In the current destruction of Israel's war, their home and citrus grove no longer exist. They lived and live in a tent, first in Rafah, today in Deir El Balah. Life is extremely hard and difficult. Like thousands of inhabitants she would like to leave Gaza and reach Egypt. Now the passage is closed, it will have to reopen, with very high costs for exiting towards Egypt. But now even for daily life you need money. The prices of basic goods have tripled or quadrupled. Do we want to help her? Now to survive and, when the crossing opens, to go out, to start living again, with her beautiful child, her husband and, we hope, also with her sisters.

<div>I am Dalia, I'm a pharmacist working on Al-Shifa medical complex. I recently got married in March. My life has been full of joy, purpose, and reconciliation between work responsibilities and family duties.

<div>However, everything changed on the fateful morning of October 7th when we were abruptly awoken by the most devastating catastrophe imaginable. Our lives were shattered by explosions, carpet bombings, the use of internationally banned white phosphorus, and unspeakable atrocities against humanity. It feels like I'm still frozen in time, unable to comprehend the nightmare that unfolded that day.

<div>Our new home, full of dear memories and our sense of belonging after the hard work of building it, has turned into rubble in the continuous bombardment. The war also brought personal tragedy as my husband, Mohammed, suffered a serious injury on his head.

<div>Now, after enduring 195 days of unimaginable hardship, we are still in the North of Gaza suffering from hunger ,contaminated water, fear and the absence of normal life. 
</div>

<div>With heavy hearts, we've made the agonizing decision to leave Gaza, our beloved home, in search of a chance at a better life. However, our hopes are met with a harsh reality as the border crossings, controlled by Egypt, demand exorbitant fees. Having lost everything—our home, our business, our means of transportation—we are left with nothing, not even enough to afford daily sustenance.

<div>Ciao mi chiamo Mara e ho conosciuto Sami in occasione del primo scambio culturale che si è tenuto a Gaza nel 2014 a seguito dell'operazione israeliana "margine protettivo" che causò la morte di più di 2000 palestinesi.

<div>Sami Abu Omar vive a Gaza, ma ora è a Khan Younis, una città nella parte a sud della striscia nella quale è fuggito con la sua famiglia.

<div>E’ il coordinatore del centro di scambio culturale italiano ‘Vik’, nato per ricordare Vittorio Arrigoni, un militante italiano che visse nella Striscia per praticare la funzione di scudo umano a tutela di pescatori e di agricoltori palestinesi e che fu ucciso il 15 aprile del 2011.

<div>Durante quest'ultima guerra Sami ha perso tutto: la casa, l'azienda di pollame e anche il nostro amato centro Vik è andato distrutto sotto gli intensi bombardamenti di questi sei mesi, ha perso tutto sì, ma non la dignità.

<div>Durante questi mesi è stato attivissimo nel supporto alla popolazione grazie a un progetto nato in collaborazione con ACS- associazione di cooperazione e solidarietà e il Gaza freestyle, progetto che promuove scambi culturali da dieci anni nella Striscia, che ha visto la costruzione di alcune cucine da campo a Rafah e la conseguente distribuzione di pasti per la popolazione sfollata (circa 2000 al giorno).

<div>Sami ha però bisogno di sopravvivere e di ricostruire, appena sarà possibile, sia la casa che l'azienda, ma cosa ancor più importante è poter far tornare a studiare le due figlie.

<div>I met Sami on the occasion of the first cultural exchange that was held in Gaza in 2014 following the Israeli operation "Protective Edge" that caused the death of more than 2000 Palestinians.

<div>Sami Abu Omar lives in Gaza, but is now in Khan Younis, a town in the southern part of the strip to which he fled with his family.
</div>
<div>He is the coordinator of the Italian cultural exchange centre 'Vik', created to remember Vittorio Arrigoni, an Italian militant who lived in the Strip to act as a human shield to protect Palestinian fishermen and farmers and who was killed on April 15, 2011.
</div>
<div>During this last war, Sami lost everything: his house, his poultry farm and even our beloved Vik centre was destroyed under the intense bombings of these six months, he lost everything, yes, but not his dignity.
</div>
<div>During these months he has been very active in supporting the population thanks to a project born in the The project was born in collaboration with ACS - Association of Cooperation and Solidarity and Gaza freestyle, a project that has been promoting cultural exchanges for ten years in the Strip, which has seen the construction of some field kitchens in Rafah and the consequent distribution of meals for the displaced population (about 2000 per day).

<div>Indeed, after having built a shelter for almost 100 musicians and their family members in Rafah, having organized cultural activities for children, now we would like to help around 10 Gazan artists come to France for one year, with their families, in order for them to pursue their art. And this will be done through a program called “PAUSE”.

<div>PAUSE programme supports scientists and artists in exile by facilitating their hosting in higher education and research institutions or cultural institutions. It protects and hosts scientists and artists who are prevented from pursuing their activities in their country of origin. It hosts them for sufficiently long periods to enable them to integrate, pursue their research and provide security for their families.

<div>So the program will enable those artists to spend one year in France, focusing on their music creativity and work, in partnership with several musical and cultural institutions there; in parallel, they will be granted honourable living conditions, as well as their nuclear family during this period.

<div>This program will enable those musicians to get a “talent visa” in France in order to avoid applying for asylum, status that implies an impossibility to return home, which most artists refuse.
</div>

<div>PAUSE programme will cover part of the costs linked to the artists and their family; Al Kamandjâti Association will cover another part; and we still need to find the last part. This is why we still need your help in order to complete their scholarships and enable them to have a decent standard of living. And that is why we are calling on you!

<div>Dall'inizio dell'offensiva israeliana nella Striscia di Gaza, il bilancio di morti e feriti palestinesi continua ad aumentare ora dopo ora. Stando all'ultimo aggiornamento del Ministero della Salute di Gaza, sono più di 70mila le vittime, decine di migliaia i feriti, di cui oltre il 70% bambini e donne.

<div>Un assedio incessante, aggravato dal taglio delle forniture elettriche, idriche e alimentari necessarie per l'approvvigionamento degli oltre 2 milioni di abitanti nella Striscia. L'unica centrale elettrica operativa di Gaza ha smesso di funzionare per la mancanza di carburante, lasciando al buio la popolazione. Attualmente, sono più di un milione e mezzo gli sfollati, Gaza è rasa al suolo.

<div>Per supportare Gaza e i suoi abitanti, vittime di 76 anni di occupazione, Gaza Freestyle, Mutuo Soccorso Milano, Centro Vik-Vittorio Arrigoni, Acs- Associazione di Cooperazione e Solidarietà, Dis- Donne in Strada hanno quindi deciso di lanciare la campagna di crowdfunding 'SOS GAZA': con le donazioni abbiamo iniziato fin dai primi giorni del genocidio ad acquistare beni di prima necessità fondamentali, come cibo, articoli igienico-sanitari, materassi, alimenti in scatola e per bambini, acqua e altro. Normalmente, la raccolta di beni e le altre operazioni logistiche avrebbero avuto come base il Centro di Scambio Culturale Vik-Vittorio Arrigoni a Gaza City, ma a seguito dei bombardamenti, purtroppo, la sede fisica non è più agibile. In questo momento, grazie al lavoro dei nostri cooperanti Sami, Mohamed Alamarin, Suad, Mona, Marah hassona, Randa, Abdelhady, Mohamed Yabalino e Ali Tayeh, siamo operativi a sud e al centro, nelle aree di Deir Al Balah, Al Zawayda, Gaza city, Al Nusayrat, Khan Younis, Mawasi di Khan younis, Bani Suhaila e Abasan.

<div>Inoltre, in collaborazione con una rete di associazioni locali e internazionali, ci stiamo mossi per inviare container di materiale umanitario a Gaza, concentrandoci sui beni di prima necessità e di igiene intima di donne e ragazze.

<div>Il container è arrivato a fine settembre 2024, dopo mesi e mesi di problemi continui. L'occupazione del valico di Rafah ha bloccato tutte le attività umanitarie dal lato egiziano, al momento è la Giordania che coordina l'ingresso di container, ma lo fa con il contagocce, l'esercito occupante blocca tutto, facendo lievitare i costi di affitto di capannoni e camion.

<div>Al momento abbiamo fermato l'invio di container nella striscia di Gaza, costava di più ''inviare'' che comprare sul posto.

<div>Nel 2023 a Dicembre, la nostra carovana avrebbe dovuto celebrare la sua undicesima edizione, con l'organizzazione di un grande forum femminista in vista della costruzione della Casa Internazionale delle Donne di Gaza. Purtroppo, dopo questa aggressione, trasformata in genocidio, ha fatto in modo che i nostri progetti siano stati messi da parte per fare fronte all'emergenza umanitaria, concentrando gli sforzi sulle operazioni di emergenza, spesso disperata e sostegno alle famiglie locali. Seppur in piccola parte, il nostro contributo sta facendo la differenza per centinaia di persone. Senza un ''cessate il fuoco'' serio, però, gli aiuti raccolti rappresentano ancora una goccia nell'oceano, con il governo occupante di Tel Aviv che ostacola la distribuzione continua di materiali fondamentali. Continuare a supportare la popolazione di Gaza, quindi, è più che mai essenziale.

<div>Le distribuzioni di bani alimentari sono state attivate nei campi profughi di: Deir Al Balah e Al Nusairat, nelle aree di Al Zawayda, Maghazi camp, Khan Younis:

<div>100 shekel a pacco alimentare, più il trasporto.

<div>Materiale dentro al pacco alimentare: cipolle, carote, melanzane, farina, pomodori, peperoni, olio, riso, zucchero, datteri, grano, fave macinate e tacchini.

<div>Il Maghazi camp è seguito da Ali Taye; Rafah, Nuseirat e Deir al Balah da Mohammad Alamarin e Mohammad Al Majd; Khan Younis da Sami.

<div>Siamo stati contattati da diverse Ong molto grandi che non riescono ad effettuare distribuzioni dentro Gaza, non hanno personale organizzato per distribuire. I camion vengono circondati dalle persone disperate e rese alla fame, e le Ong non hanno riferimenti per organizzare i propri container. Così era nato il progetto della cucina da campo a Rafah, con il terreno affittato da Suad e poi bombardato ed occupato dall'esercito occupante.

<div>E' stato fatto un piano di lavoro per un team di giovani che verranno stipendiati per svolgere diverse mansioni che ci sono state richieste.

<div>1) SCUOLA: Progetto coordinato da Mohammad Almasdj, costruzione di due scuole, una a Dehir al Balah, la seconda a Khan Youni. Il progetto è gestito e proposto da 8 insegnanti, 4 donne e 4 uomini che tutti i giorni aprono e chiudono i tendoni dove stiamo facendo le lezioni.

<div>2) Servizio CUCINA- Il responsabili è Mohammad Alamareen, nei primi mesi abbiamo realizzato un capannone e magazzino con preparazione, confezionamento e distribuzione di 2000 pasti al giorno a Rafah. Abbiamo poi perso la cucina e abbiamo costruito una struttura mobile per poterci spostare nelle zone dove c'è bisogno.

<div>Nelle ultime settimane di Novembre 2024 Mohammad e la sua squadra hanno costruito una nuova struttura a Khan Younis, dove vengono fatti centinaia di pasti tutti i giorni e una volta a settimana la pizza per i bambini della scuola.

<div>Questa attività è quella che richiede maggior sostegno economico, costante e quotidiano.

The base of operations of our organisations are at the Vik-Vittorio Arrigoni Cultural Exchange Center in Gaza City, which has been operating in the Strip in humanitarian, educational, sporting and political support projects in close collaboration with the local organisations since 2012. <div>Mi sono laureata in Educazione Infantile e ho seguito numerosi corsi d'arte specializzati per migliorare il mio talento artistico e diventare una pittrice plastica a Gaza.

<div>Ho partecipato a mostre d'arte locali e ho attirato l'attenzione come emergente artista palestinese. Le interviste della stampa internazionale hanno evidenziato il mio talento, ma credo di avere ancora molto da imparare.

<div>Ciao a tutti, devo fare un appello per me faticoso ma necessario... poco più di un anno fa la mia vita era perfetta, avevo comprato casa, avuto un bambino e vinto un concorso. Poi da un linfonodo ingrossato mi è stata trovata una metastasi da Melanoma. Vi lascio immaginare lo shock di una diagnosi del genere, a 33 anni, per me e per la mia famiglia. Mai però, siamo stati tanto uniti per combattere questa malattia.

<div>Ora ho bisogno anche di voi e di chi non mi conosce per affrontare una terapia privata allo <strong>Sheba Medical Center</strong> in Israele in quanto al momento non ci sono altre opzioni terapeutiche nel nostro paese. A febbraio 2022 si avviava il protocollo EBIN presso l’IFO Regina Elena di Roma con una terapia basata sulla combinazione di quattro farmaci che è proseguita per alcuni mesi.

<div>A dicembre 2022 è stata riscontrata la progressione della malattia e così si è avviato un nuovo protocollo di cura presso l’IRCSS Pascale di Napoli. A marzo del 2023 la malattia è ulteriormente progredita e si è iniziata una nuova cura con altri farmaci che ha mostrato purtroppo solo una risposta parziale. A questo punto si è ravvisata quindi la necessità di un ulteriore cambio di terapia, ma al momento non si dispone di vere alternative valide.

<div>Dopo molte consultazioni con i più importanti istituti europei che si occupano del melanoma, la soluzione migliore che è stata individuata è stata quella di ricorrere al <strong>trattamento TIL dello Sheba Medical Center in Israele</strong>, un trattamento immunoterapico di nuova generazione che si è dimostrato negli studi clinici una nuova promettente opzione terapeutica per le persone con melanoma metastatico.

<div>Si tratta di una strategia di cura che prevede innanzitutto il prelievo del tessuto tumorale del malato. All'interno di esso oltre alle cellule tumorali sono presenti dei linfociti, quindi cellule del sistema immunitario, che tentano di attaccare e “uccidere” la malattia. Con la terapia TIL si estraggono dal tessuto tumorale del paziente queste cellule di linfociti già predisposte a riconoscere e uccidere le cellule tumorali, per moltiplicarle in laboratorio e successivamente infonderle nel paziente: l’obiettivo è quello di fornire al paziente tante “forze fresche" in grado di riconoscere ed attaccare la malattia.

<div>Abbiamo avviato da circa un mese l’iter di valutazione inviando tutto il materiale allo Sheba Medical Center che ha preso in carico il mio caso e ha confermato la possibilità per il suo caso di essere sottoposta al trattamento TIL.
</div>
<div>Vi chiedo aiuto per avviare il percorso terapeutico che purtroppo ha un costo molto elevato, oltre le nostre possibilità, e nello specifico prevede:

<div>⁃	intervento chirurgico per prelevare il tessuto tumorale da cui estrarre l’infiltrato linfocitario
</div>
<div>⁃	fase di rivalutazione pre-trattamento
</div>
<div>⁃	reinfusione dei linfociti in combinazione con nivolumab, immunoterapia utilizzata in diversi tumori, incluso il melanoma.

<div>Hello everyone, I need to make an appeal to you all, that is hard but necessary for me... just over a year ago my life was perfect, I had bought a house, had a baby and won a competition. Then from a swollen lymph node I was found a metastatic melanoma. I let you imagine the shock of such a diagnosis, at the age of 33, for me and my family. But never in our lives have we been so united to fight this disease.

<div>Now I also need you and those who don't know me to undergo private therapy at the Sheba Medical Center in Israel as there are currently no other treatment options in my country. I place hope in medical research and I truly thank you if you can help me by sharing and participating in this fundraiser.

<div>My clinical history begins in December 2021 with the removal of a lymph node that showed a neoplastic repetition from melanoma. In February 2022, I started the EBIN protocol at the IFO Regina Elena in Rome with a therapy based on the combination of four drugs which continued for a few months.
</div>
<div>In December 2022 a progression of the disease was found and thus a new treatment protocol was started at the IRCSS Pascale in Naples. In March 2023 the disease progressed further and I began a new treatment with other drugs which unfortunately showed only a partial response. At this point, therefore, the need for a further change of therapy has arised, but at the moment there are no real valid alternative options in Italy. After many consultations with the most important European institutes dealing with melanoma, the best solution that has been identified was to resort to the TIL treatment of the Sheba Medical Center in Israel, a new generation immunotherapy treatment that in clinical studies has proven itself a promising new option for people with metastatic melanoma.

<div>It is a treatment strategy that involves the removal of the patient's tumor tissue. Inside it, in addition to the tumor cells, there are lymphocytes, therefore cells of the immune system, which try to attack and "kill" the disease. With TIL therapy, these lymphocyte cells already predisposed to recognize and kill tumor cells are extracted from the patient's tumor tissue, multiplied in laboratory and then infused into the patient: the goal is to provide the patient with many "fresh forces" in able to recognize and attack the disease.
</div>
<div>We started the evaluation process about a month ago by sending all the documentation to the Sheba Medical Center which confirmed the possibility for my case to undergo TIL treatment.
</div>
<div>I ask you for help to start the therapeutic process which unfortunately has a very high cost, beyond our possibilities, and specifically provides for:
</div>
<div>⁃ surgery to remove the tumor tissue from which to extract the lymphocytic cells
</div>
<div>⁃ pre-treatment re-evaluation phase
</div>
<div>⁃ lymphocyte reinfusion in combination with nivolumab, an immunotherapy used in various cancers, including melanoma.

<strong>Help us provide warm clothing &amp; vital supplies to refugees travelling through the European Winter.<br /></strong><img class="not-resizable" src="https://2dbdd5116ffa30a49aa8-c03f075f8191fb4e60e74b907071aee8.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/7723293_1450608300.2331_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%" /><br />Hundreds of refugees are arriving daily to the tiny Greek island of Kastellorizo in desperate pursuit of European territory. Many travel across by boat, some are even swimming - those that make it arrive cold and wet with their belongings lost in the sea.<br /><br />Local business owners Monika and Damien stepped up when no one else would, converting their restaurant into an unofficial distribution and support centre for these refugees. For months they have worked tirelessly to provide basic yet vital things; dry clothes &amp; shoes, a warm meal, information and friendship.<br /><img class="not-resizable" src="https://2dbdd5116ffa30a49aa8-c03f075f8191fb4e60e74b907071aee8.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/7723293_1450522698.229_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%" /><br />The population on this tiny, isolated island is very small (250) as the numbers of refugees increased throughout September and October the small band of volunteers helping could not cope with the numbers. (In one particular week there were over 750 refugees on the island.) Also as the island is a long way from mainland Greece, getting supplies became difficult and expensive.Kas which is a Turkish holiday town opposite Kastellorizo (25 minute ferry ride) is a much bigger place with a larger population. As such purchasing important items is much easier and there is a larger pool of volunteers.<img class="not-resizable" src="https://2dbdd5116ffa30a49aa8-c03f075f8191fb4e60e74b907071aee8.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/7723293_1450520904.5655_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%" /><br />So over the recent months a small community of friends and volunteers have come together and formed the Kas Kastellorizo International Platform to assist Monika and Damien with the escalating situation on Kastellorizo. The KKIP do wonderful work organising clothing donations from neighouring communities, providing free services to refugees and most importantly running the (now even bigger) distribution centre - where vital items such as coats, walking shoes, winter clothes, blankets, nappies, sanitary items and much more are offered to refugees in need.<br /><img class="not-resizable" src="https://2dbdd5116ffa30a49aa8-c03f075f8191fb4e60e74b907071aee8.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/7723293_1450521658.4689_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%" />At present the KKIP is the sole source of support for refugees on the island. We do however, rely on donations to continue our work and keep the distribution centre stocked.
