<div><strong>I lost my job on December 5th.</strong> The good news is that I’ve already secured a new position, and I’m set to start on January 19th. The hard part is making it through the weeks in between.

<div>My mom has very generously offered to help cover one month of rent, which I’m incredibly grateful for. However, I’m still struggling to cover essentials like PG&amp;E, gas, and groceries until my first paycheck comes in.

<div>It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic and unexpected loss of our beloved Fernando Velazquez, who was taken from us far too soon on September 20, 2025, at the age of 94. He was struck and killed by a reckless driver while doing what he loved most—riding his tricycle around town, staying active, and spreading joy.

</div>

<div>Fernando was more than just our papa and grandfather—he was a pillar in the community, a faithful man of God, and a loyal friend to so many. You may have seen him attending mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, always with a kind smile and a warm handshake, offering prayers and positivity to anyone who needed it.

</div>

<div>He believed deeply in helping others, often putting the needs of family, neighbors, and even strangers above his own. Riding his tricycle every day kept him feeling young, and he often joked that it was his “secret to a long life.”

</div>

<div>Now, we are asking for help as we lay this beautiful soul to rest and honor his legacy. All donations will go directly toward funeral expenses, memorial arrangements, and any legal costs as we pursue justice for the careless actions that took him from us.

<div>Con el corazón roto compartimos la trágica y repentina pérdida de nuestro querido Fernando Velázquez, quien nos fue arrebatado el 20 de septiembre de 2025, a la edad de 94 años. Fue atropellado y asesinado por un conductor imprudente mientras hacía lo que más amaba: andar en su triciclo por el pueblo, mantenerse activo y compartir alegría.

<div>Fernando no era solo nuestro papá y abuelo—era un pilar en la comunidad, un hombre de fe, y un amigo fiel para muchos. Probablemente lo vieron asistiendo a misa en la Iglesia Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, siempre con una sonrisa amable y un apretón de manos cálido, ofreciendo oraciones y palabras de aliento a quien lo necesitara.

<div>Creía profundamente en ayudar a los demás, a menudo poniendo las necesidades de su familia, vecinos e incluso desconocidos antes que las suyas. Andar en su triciclo todos los días lo hacía sentirse joven, y solía bromear diciendo que ese era su “secreto para una vida larga.”

<div>     On the evening of Thursday, March 17 (Strike Day 6), Rohnert Park Cotati Educators Association (RPCEA) came to a tentative agreement with CRPUSD and teachers returned to classrooms on Friday. 
</div>
<div><span>    Teachers went on strike because our community has been facing a crisis in our schools due to unacceptably low wages that prevent CRPUSD from recruiting and retaining the best educators for our students. CRPUSD’s teacher salaries have been 20% below the state average, while the cost of living in Sonoma County is one of the highest in the state.  </span><span>A</span><span>fter months of futile negotiations, RPCEA authorized a work stoppage beginning March 10, 2022. </span>
</div>


<div>    Teachers are not paid when they are on strike. Most of our members depend on their full income to make ends meet. All funds raised will go to providing for any loss of wages due to striking. We thank you for your continued support!

Support Rohnert Park Cotati Teachers

<br /><br />April 9th 2020, we lost a beloved member of our family &amp; my sister, Danielle Hedrick Dicenso. Her passing was sudden and very tragic due what we believed to be  COVID-19. Danielle was working as an ICU nurse on the front lines risking her life for the lives of others. <br /><br />She was a mother to the love of her life,her 4 year old son Dominic, Wife, Daughter, sister &amp; friends to many. She is someone who has touched the lives of thousands and will never be forgotten. Her husband, and son could use all the support during this time in their life.  <br /><br />Danielle had a beautiful smile &amp; contagious laugh. She could light up a room as soon as she walked in and always made everyone laugh with her amazing sense or humor. <br /><br />In these unprecedented times, our family is grieving over a young Icu nurse taken too soon.  This Go Fund me is for Danielle's funeral costs along her 4 year old sons college fund &amp;  support.<br /><br />Please keep our beloved Danielle and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Unexpected Loss of Covid Nurse &Young Mother

Felecia is the heart of our family—a woman who never stops giving, even when life throws her the toughest challenges. As the primary provider for herself and her mother, Felecia is a dedicated caregiver for the elderly and, alongside her mom, the daily caregiver for my child. While David (Felecia's brother and my boyfriend) and I work, Felecia pours her love and energy into our baby, always putting others first. She is the kind of person who would give her last dollar to someone in need, never asking for anything in return.

 Behind Felecia’s incredible work ethic is a daily battle that began with a devastating car accident in 2012. She lives with a traumatic brain injury (TBI) that has left her with atrophy in her left frontal lobe, severe dyslexia, and chronic pain from debilitating migraines. Despite these challenges, Felecia has never stopped fighting to be independent and provide for her mother. Her resilience and compassion inspire everyone who knows her.

 Recently, Felecia’s only vehicle—the lifeline she relies on for DoorDash deliveries and caregiving—gave out completely and cannot be salvaged. For someone who depends on her car to earn an income and care for others, this loss is devastating. Felecia and her mom are now stranded, and our family is struggling to coordinate transportation so she can continue helping us and others. The stress and uncertainty have rippled through our entire family, making it clear how urgently Felecia needs support.

 We are raising funds to get Felecia back on the road in a safe, reliable vehicle. Your donations will go directly toward a down payment or purchase of a used car, insurance and registration fees, and immediate grocery and utility support for Felecia and her mother while she is without a paycheck.
