Hello everyone! I can't tell you how grateful I am that so many people have come together to share and donate to this fundraiser for my precious kitty. Ranger is doing a lot better now, but he did need to undergo a surgery in order to get better. After the first round of everything happening, from the initial 700, Ranger got blocked up again. This meant he needed surgery in order to change his genitalia to female (in order to widen his urethra) so the urine would pass through more easily. If I did not get the surgery, he would have died. The bill for the surgery was 2,000. I have saved up a lot of money this year to buy my first car, but these bills have made it impossible to afford one now. My parents were able to use their CareCredit card so that I could pay a minimum amount each month but it's important to me that I pay it early so that I can start saving for a car again. I will continue updating this fundraiser with pictures of Ranger. Thank you so much for your help. It really means the world.
Hello, My name is Faustina Hoff and I'm beginning this GoFundMe in order to raise funds for my precious cat, Ranger. Recently he's undergone a lot of medical help that has been extremely costly and I don't have enough to cover it all by myself. I've gotten by using a credit card to temporarily cover the costs but the payment is due in 6 days and I'm incredibly worried about how these fees are going to affect both Ranger's life and mine. On Thursday night of June 25th, I got a message while at work that my sister had found diarrhea and blood within Ranger's stool. I brought him into urgent care as soon as I could, and the cost for just getting an examination was $150. While there, they initially didn't find anything immediately concerning because I didn't want to do the diagnostics unless it was necessary. Got some medicine for gastrointestinal upset, came back home. However, once I was home I noticed something extremely worrying: Ranger was refusing to eat. I rushed him back to urgent care to run diagnostics and they found he had an extremely enlarged bladder, one preventing him from urinating and excreting properly. They found crystals, grit, mucus and some blood in his urine as well. The situation turned from concerning to terrifying very quickly, and the bill started to pile up. I want to help my baby in any way I can. I stayed there until 2 am the first night and waited until Saturday to pick him up. The bill sits at around $700 (if you are wondering why the goal has changed, I posted an update below! In a nutshell, he had to get surgery after this post was made) for the treatment he received during his stay, including medicine, prescription food and a new water fountain to encourage Ranger to drink. He is currently on 5 different medications. Any help would be greatly appreciated to be able to keep helping my sweet boy. Thank you. Some pictures of the polite boy:
