What they care about

I strive to be a kind and hardworking person that pays forward the good things that come to me in life.

Shantal Harris is an aunt who has stepped up to raise her nieces and nephews, making sure they have every opportunity to participate in activities that bring them joy and growth. When her car broke down and became inoperable, she had to save for months to purchase a replacement. During this time, her family missed out on BMX practices and races because they simply couldn't get there. While some coaches kindly helped get the family to races, they couldn't make it to practices, which was tough for the kids who love being part of the BMX community. Despite these challenges, Shantal never lost her positive spirit. She cheers for her own family and encourages all the riders at events, spreading kindness and motivation wherever she goes. Just yesterday, her constant positivity inspired an adult BMX rider, who was so moved by her support that he offered to repair her car for free. After checking the car, he found that the needed parts would cost $1500. With your help, we can get Shantal road ready for the upcoming school year and all the activities she works so hard to keep her kids involved in. Anything raised above the $1500 will go first toward school clothing and shoes, and then to support the kids' activities like BMX, boxing, or dance. Please consider supporting this caring family—your generosity will help Shantal continue to lift up her nieces, nephews, and the entire BMX community.
Please Help the Carroll Family Rebuild After a Total Loss House Fire The Carroll family is facing something no family should ever have to endure. Earlier this week, a devastating fire broke out and completely destroyed their home, leaving it a total loss. In the middle of all the chaos and heartbreak, the greatest blessing is that everyone made it out safely — but they have lost every tangible piece of their daily life. Right now, Haylee, Jeremy, and their sweet son Jameson are staying in a hotel, trying to figure out the next steps while juggling the emotional weight of losing their home, their belongings, and their sense of stability overnight. If you know the Carrolls, you know that they are the kind of people who make every space brighter simply by being there. ✨ Haylee and Jeremy are positivity in human form — the ones who show up smiling, who encourage others, who lift people up without even trying. ✨ Their son Jameson, an elementary schooler who will one day feed right into Edison, is a bright, bike-loving kid who brings joy wherever he rides. They are a true community family — kind, humble, grateful, always giving more than they take. The type of family who would be the first to support anyone else going through something hard. Now, it’s our turn to surround them with that same love. Losing a home doesn’t just mean losing belongings — it means losing comfort, memories, clothes, toys, necessities, and the feeling of normalcy that most of us take for granted. The road back from something like this is long and overwhelming, and no family should have to carry that burden alone. This is where we step in — as friends, riders, parents, neighbors, and community. No one recovers alone. No one rebuilds alone. If you are able, please consider supporting the Carrolls as they begin the process of rebuilding their lives. Donations, gift cards, clothing, meals, emotional support, and even simply sharing their story all make a tangible difference. Every act of kindness helps lighten the weight they are carrying right now. The Carroll family pours love, positivity, and joy into the world. Let’s pour it right back into them. Thank you for lifting them up during this incredibly difficult time.
As many of you have heard, the Wright family — Mike, Destinie, Jocelyn, and Carter — suffered a devastating house fire yesterday. The fire destroyed their garage, most of Carter’s room, their bikes, and claimed the life of one of their beloved cats. The rest of their home has been left heavily damaged by smoke, leaving it uninhabitable for now.  This family has always opened their hearts and home to others — their house and trail have been a favorite gathering place for our BMX and school communities, especially during Halloween. They’ve been the kind of friends who show up, cheer loud, and give back to every program they’re a part of.   Jocelyn, a senior at Charles Page High School, is a dedicated cross country runner, powerlifter, road cyclist, and BMX racer. She dreams of riding BMX at the collegiate level, and the upcoming Grands is a crucial event where she hopes to make a strong showing — but she now needs to rebuild both of her bikes and replace her gear to compete. Beyond racing, Jocelyn gives back to her community as a volunteer coach with Sandites BMX, helping mentor and inspire the next generation of young riders. Jocelyn also works with the RISE program in Tulsa that gives back to the underprivileged in Tulsa.  Carter, a student at Clyde Boyd Middle School, is an energetic and committed member of our BMX team, known for his determination and positivity. Mike and Destinie are the devoted parents who have supported their kids — and so many of ours — through every practice, race, and team event. Now, it’s our turn to support them. Funds raised will go directly toward rebuilding their home, replacing essential belongings (including both Jocelyn and Carter’s bikes), and helping cover living expenses while they work to recover and rebuild. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference.  Let’s come together as the community they’ve supported so generously — and help the Wright family rebuild what they’ve lost. Thank you for showing them the same love and strength they’ve always shown all of us.
