Stephen’s Fight Continues: Radiation, Chemotherapy & the Road Ahead

First, we want to thank every single person who has donated, shared, prayed, reached out, or simply kept Stephen in their thoughts. The love and support you have shown our family through this has meant more than I could ever put into words.

Stephen has now undergone his second brain surgery for his Grade 2 astrocytoma. We are incredibly grateful that he made it through surgery and is recovering, but unfortunately, this journey is far from over.

His doctors at City of Hope have recommended that the next phase of treatment begin with six weeks of radiation, five days a week, followed by approximately 12 months of chemotherapy. The goal is to treat the tumor as aggressively as possible now and reduce the risk of it progressing or returning as a higher-grade tumor.

At the same time, we are currently appealing an insurance denial for this treatment, adding another layer of uncertainty and stress at a time when our only focus should be getting Stephen the care he needs.

Because his treatment is at City of Hope in California, there are also significant expenses associated with extended lodging, transportation, meals, medical costs, and being away from home while he receives daily radiation. As his mom, I will be there with him throughout this next chapter.

We originally created this fundraiser to help Stephen through his second brain surgery. We never imagined that we would now be facing weeks of radiation followed by a year of chemotherapy. So I am updating this fundraiser because Stephen still needs us.

If you are able to donate, no amount is too small. If you cannot donate, sharing Stephen’s fundraiser is just as meaningful and helps us reach people we could never reach on our own.

Stephen has already shown more strength, courage, and determination than I can adequately describe. We are taking this one appointment, one treatment, and one day at a time.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for continuing to stand beside Stephen and our family. ❤️

Stephen Rezza Continued Treatment

Dear friends and supporters,

If you’ve been searching for Walk On Mars’ tracks like “Voodoo Barbie” and “Fraud” on your favorite streaming platforms, you may have noticed they’ve disappeared. This isn’t by choice. Due to a troubling entanglement with a company from my past, my music has been taken down, leaving me heartbroken and completely lost. They didn’t just take away my music— they took away the lifelong dreams of a little girl who just wanted to sing.

Along with myself, other independent artists that I respect and love so much were also affected by this situation. Jack The Underdog and I had done a Swemo version of Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”, Mitch Rip had me feature on his own song “Stay Away”, and Joey cxp had me feature on his song “Resuscitate”. All of these songs were removed as well. My heart breaks for them and for every independent artist out there who has had their art taken away from them. Taking advantage of people with big dreams, aspirations, and talents by small and large companies is far too common in the industry. I am tired.

Music has always been my light, my passion, and my purpose. In the last year, your incredible support allowed me to release songs that truly represented my soul—music created without restrictions or control. The success and love you showed me brought back a piece of myself I thought was gone forever.

Now, that joy has been stripped away. But I refuse to be silenced. Despite the darkness of this situation, I am committed to fighting for my art and my independence. Your support will help cover legal fees, lost revenue, and the resources needed to regain control over my music—so it can never be taken away again.

In the meantime, I’ll keep creating, sharing new posts, rewrites, and bringing a little laughter and positivity to this fight. This journey isn’t over; it’s just the beginning of a new chapter.

If my music has ever moved you, inspired you, or simply made your day a bit brighter, please consider supporting my GoFundMe campaign. Any little bit helps. Together, we can reach beyond the stars, and Walk On Mars again.

With all my love and gratitude,

Help Walk On Mars Reclaim Their Music and Independence

I’ve had more than my fair share of Tour travel surprises, but this... this was something I could've never imagined. Our RV, more than just a vehicle, but our home and heart of this tour, was stolen from us. Thanks to an AirTag, we were able to locate and retrieve it, averting a total disaster. However, the aftermath isn't pretty. The culprits took a joyride with the RV, leaving it inoperable. Vandalism has rendered our living quarters uninhabitable, and every hour, we tally more personal items that are missing.

We were incredibly lucky to have found the RV/trailer. Losing them would have been a setback from which it might have been nearly impossible to recover. However, our misfortune didn't deter the culprits from damaging the RV and stealing our personal belongings. Although, I got hit the hardest (cameras, guitars, drone, electric skateboards, shoes, recording equipment, electronics, etc), my whole team has lost prized possessions. Also, my drummer Justin, literally has no clothes. We've hired multiple mechanics to address the myriad issues with the RV, which have arisen from the thieves' reckless joyride and their successful attempt to convert it into a drug den. Moreover, each canceled show is not just a missed opportunity but also represents a tangible financial loss.

I promise to share the full tale soon—it's a wild one and if I’ve learned about when things go wrong on tour… film it lol. And I have.

At this moment, my focus is ensuring the safety and well-being of our irreplaceable crew, and trying to pick up the scattered pieces.

Your presence here already means a lot. If you're able and willing to donate, I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart. I don't want to undermine the concept of this unique tour of renting venues & throwing private parties for my fans (as I truly believe it brings power back to the artists), but I certainly didn't expect a situation like this. This isn't a journey I can navigate alone.

Your kindness, your generosity, it means the world. More than words can express.

With all my love and appreciation,

RV Stolen and Damaged on Tour

Hello,

On Wednesday, October 12th, Renee had a tragic car accident while driving in Los Angeles. After collapsing at the scene, Renee was rushed to the hospital and started receiving emergency care for her many injuries.

In addition, Renee has a physically demanding job in the music industry. Because of these injuries, she'll be unable to work for an indeterminable amount of time until she's medically cleared to do so.

Between the trip to the ER, the weeks in the hospital, lost wages, and all the necessary rehabilitation, physical therapy and follow-ups she will continue to need for an extended period, costs are piling up quickly. Health and other insurance are unlikely to cover all of these costs.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and any financial support would be greatly appreciated!

Renee Signore - Car accident recovery

Hello,

As you have probably heard or seen on Facebook, our Mother, Maureen (a.k.a. Mo), has recently learned that the cancer she was deemed "free of" in 2017 has returned and advanced to an extreme level. It has taken residence in not just the breast tissue, but also her lungs and bones.

We are reaching out to close family and friends about pooling together funds to help Mom & Jason with whatever they may need over the next few months (could be $ to go towards groceries, to cover their monthly bills, to cover costs of feeding guests that have recently visited, $ to go towards a medical bill, etc.).

Mom & Jason wouldn't ask for this and would not want anyone to be burdened with donating.

We think it would take a little of the load off their shoulders to help them in this small way. Please know that we are truly grateful for whatever you can give and for your healing thoughts & prayers.

Thank you.

With love & sincerity,
Mo's Kids

P.S. This GoFundMe is connected directly to their bank account.

Help Mo & Jason

I am starting this on behalf of my Dad and Stepmom to help with medical/living expenses so they can focus on getting better and getting back home to my little sister.

They were involved in a hit and run motorcycle accident down in Daytona, Florida on March 11th. There was an accident on the other side of the road, cops were slowing down traffic it went from about 65mph to 35mph. My dad was following traffic going 35 with Steph on the back of the bike, but the guy behind them driving a full size pickup truck with a trailer on the back of it wasn’t paying attention still going 65. He saw them at the last second, slammed on the breaks causing the front of the truck to nose dive right before hitting them with 1500lbs, this is probably what saved them along with their helmets and some guardian angels looking out. They flew about 100 ft. from where they got hit. Dad’s helmet was still on, but mama’s flew off she was hit so hard. Since they got hit from behind she got the worst of it. The guy got out of the truck, went up to my dad said how sorry he was then got back in his truck and took off. Luckily there was so much traffic and cops and paramedics already at the scene someone was able to get his license plate number and gave it to the cops and the guy got caught and he is currently sitting in jail being charged with a hit and run like he deserves.

My dad is doing pretty good physically for how bad the accident was just some lacerations on his face & a lot of road rash, whip lash and pain but no broken bones or serious injuries. Steph wasn’t as lucky and is in ICU, she is looking at months in the hospital and a year or more of recovery. But she’s a fighter, she’s got this. She was hit so hard her diaphragm tore and her spleen ended up in her lung cavity. She had a laceration on her spleen causing internal bleeding so they did emergency surgery removing her spleen as soon as she arrived at the hospital leaving her with a scar from her chest to her pelvic bone with about 50 staples. They put her on a ventilator because she was in so much pain and it would be easier for her to heal. She has 10 broken ribs that caused punctures in her lungs so she has chest tubes in. She also has 2 stable spinal fractures they aren’t currently doing surgery on because they aren’t at risk of paralyzing her or damaging the spinal cord. She has a broken arm they did surgery on leaving her with 12 screws and a plate. She’s currently off the ventilator now and working on becoming stable enough to be transferred to a hospital in Macon so she can be closer to home and family.

It has officially came back the guy did not have any insurance on his vehicle.

The Halifax Health Center was nothing short of amazing & did all they could to help my step mom, unfortunately her real road to recovery starts at a rehabilitation center where they could not get into in Florida due to not having health insurance and being out of state. So their only option was to make the journey back home to Georgia to try to find the proper care she needs. They were going to send her home with just my dad in his car in a back brace and the gentleman who let my dad stay in his condo kindly offered to pay for medical transport so she could be as comfortable as possible on the long 6 hour drive home. We can NOT thank this man & her medical team enough! We will forever be so grateful.

They are now currently at home in Georgia, they have met with a doctor and got a referral for an orthopedic doctor so we are waiting to hear from them. We are trying to find affordable in home private care and taking turns throughout our family going over there and helping out. Steph is in no shape or form right now getting the adequate care needed to recover given the extent of her injuries because we simply can not afford it without insurance. My dad has to go back to work in just a couple of weeks to be able to start paying for not only medical bills but every day living expenses and child expenses for my little sister. We have a long road of recovery and I’m trying to do everything in my power to help make sure they get proper care to be able to eventually live a normal life again and aren’t drowned in bills.

They are both being very optimistic & are just happy to be alive and with Paiton again.

**Update 4/20/2021

We have had a few setbacks. Steph’s right arm that was shattered and has plates and screws got badly infected causing an abscess to form and rupture over the weekend while we were waiting to get her into the doctor on Monday. Still actively in therapy and seeing many specialists but daily functions still require a lot of assistance. My dad had to go back to work to start bringing in some kind of money to pay the bills and put food on the table and I am leaving on the 21st so now having round the clock care for Steph is our main focus. Bills from hospital are coming in faster than we can keep up so any help would go a long way. I am raising the price of the amount needed because the hospital bills are already over $200,000 and that’s just from Halifax. Steph has already ended up in the ER since being back home in Georgia as well. All proceeds are going to past, current & future medical bills, as well as caregivers, and any necessity’s. Even though my dad has gone back to work, he still has to miss some because of taking care of Steph as well as their daughter and himself. He has also had to start seeing a chiropractor for his neck and back injuries which is taking time away from work.

**Update 5/19

Steph had to endure another intense surgery to open her arm back up and drain the infection surrounding the metal in her arm. After a week or so in the hospital they are back home, having to administer IV antibiotics throughout the day to try to get her back on track. This is a huge set back in her physical therapy, but she’s trying to stay positive through all of the pain.

For Tim & Steph Walton after hit and run accident

Dear friends, on February 27 Thursday morning, our beloved Jumoke Hill lost his life. In an automobile accident, he was ripped away in a single moment so very unexpectedly. Jumoke was an incredibly caring person who lived life to the fullest. Our hearts are shattered.

We are asking for financial help to help cover the costs of funeral expenses and other needs the Hill family may have at this time. Thank you in advance from the bottom of our hearts.

Jumoke Hill - Funeral Expenses

I am asking for your help with lifesaving surgery for my cat, Freya.

On May 10, 2015, a friend found Freya in a parking lot. She reached out on social media looking for someone to take her. Within 30 minutes of the post, she was in my arms and we were on our way to her forever home. A little over a month later, on June 17, 2015, my world came crashing to the ground. My beloved black Siamese mix, Boo, passed away. I have multiple health issues and he was always there to help me recover from surgery, calm my anxiety, lift my depression and help ease some of my chronic pain all with his magical purr therapy. He never let me out of his sight. He was my rock, and his death left me devastated.

Here she is trying to cozy up to Boo. I don't think he was too happy about it.

Freya picked up some of the mantles he left behind. She a watcher. One of those cats who check on her humans every few hours, day and night. Many times I found myself in tears and she was always there to try and calm me. She was always there to offer purrs when they were needed.

A few days after Boo crossed the Rainbow Bridge, I looked at Freya and realized she was pregnant. Suddenly, there was a feeling of hope in the household. She gave birth to six kittens on July 9, 2015. She and the kittens provided a welcomed distraction to my grief. I had to focus on the 6 little lives and mama. She and the babies helped me to crawl out of the depression that I had fallen in.

Of the 6 kittens, we kept two. Here's a family photo. Zelda on the right and Greybear on the left with Freya in the middle. All 3 are fixed. I believe in spaying and neutering. So much so that my Mom and I used to do catch and release to cats dumped in the VFW around her home. We'd try to place them in a forever home. It wasn't always possible, so some were set loose. At least they couldn't add to the population anymore.

She saved me on so many levels. Now, I need to find a way to save her. Here's a picture of us together earlier today .

On January 3rd, Freya walked up to me in the kitchen and urinated blood on the floor. Immediately, I got her into the vet. After an exam and x-ray, she was diagnosed with a kidney stone. The vet gave me an estimate for surgery that ranges from a low of $893 to a high of $1257. Surgery meant that she would be back to her old self in days, but the amount was definitely out of my budget. We left the vet's office $300 lighter but with prescription food, instructions to modify her diet and hope the stone would possibly break up.

You can see how big the stone is.

Copies of the vet bills and surgery estimate

She was doing well up until about 2 weeks ago and is now in a steady decline. This is not something I can financially handle right now and it's killing me.

I took this on Monday, 2.11.2020. She's so skinny and looks horrible.
I have never been one to skimp on my animals' medical care. Boo was diabetic and insulin-dependent for 4 years before his death. Unfortunately, my disability income and a small part-time job (4 hrs a week) aren't enough right now. My husband has been a substitute teacher for 4 years and isn't always able to find a job each day. He will graduate in May with his Master's Degree in Special Education, which will open doors to permanent employment. We have recently had to pay expenses for his final semester of college, including two licensing tests that he needs to take to start his classroom placement. The 72 hours he needs to fulfill won't be paid, either. In addition, we are just catching up on the Christmas Holidays. Subs aren't paid for any of those days off.
I am asking for $1500, due to GoFundMe taking out fees and in case something goes wrong during surgery. I can get her scheduled for surgery with $900, as the vet can assist $100 through Sarah's Paws With A Cause

In addition, the One Health Organization will help with a $250 voucher, but the process is slow and done by mail. The application was sent out to me today. I don't know if we have the time to wait for it. The vet also isn't a participating provider, but they are looking into what they need to do to become one.

The vet's office has told me that if I can raise the funds, they will get her in ASAP at one of the 7 offices or work her in at the Seville Wadsworth location.

Please help me save my baby girl. If we don't get help soon, she will be gone. I am prepared to have her put to sleep if I must. When I lost Boo, he had a seizure and had to be put to sleep. Holding him while he passed was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I am terrified of having to do it again, but I won't let her cross the Rainbow Bridge alone.

If we can't raise the funds in time, I will donate them to Sarah's Paws With A Cause, so others can benefit from the help.

Any vet receipts will be posted as Updates. I want to be 100% transparent. You work hard for your money. I don't want to abuse your trust.

More Pictures of Freya

If you have questions, please contact me via GoFundMe or email me at [email redacted]

FREYA SAVED ME. NOW I NEED TO SAVE FREYA!

July 1st 2017
I was driving home after helping my brother Danny move into his new apartment. I was feeling peaceful and reminicing the beautiful day with no music on. I reached the exit of the freeway and noticed a loud engine Black Mustang with a Hispanic driver behind me as I stopped at the exit traffic light. When the light turned green, I continued on my way turning left being less than 5 minutes away from my home. After passing 2 busy intersections the Black Mustang zoomed to my right into the right lane of the two lane street and shot a total of 10 - 9mm rounds into my vehicle. With an angel on my shoulder I was only hit 3 times. One went through my right arm and broke my humerous bone, another bullet or bullet fragment entered my right hand and is currently still inside, and the last grazed my right shin. I have no idea who the guy was or the reason behind the attack. The attack took place in broad daylight around 5:15pm. I was rushed to the hospital and was released in less than 24 hours. I was given pain pills and enough antibiotics for 2 days and was asked to follow up with my primary doctor that coming thursday (in 4 days) if I "noticed any issues" with my injuries. I left feeling unclear about what might happen. I returned to the hospital that Friday after my hand started to turn bright red to learn I had developed an infection in my hand. This is where the bullet remains and was told by another doctor that evening that I should have been treated better and not released so early. I have an appointment with an othepedic surgeon on July 19th to decide whether or not it is safe to remove the bullet or leave it in for life or any amount of time. I am looking into finding a psychologist to talk to and so far unsuccessful. The funds that I recieve will go to bills to care for my arm and hand so I can get back into shape to continue my music dream and be able to hold a job. I also lost my brand new ford focus as a total loss in this incident and have no way but to rely on others for transportation even though I'm unable to drive in my current state. My family is the only reason I'm able to feel safe in all this. My Mom has been running me everywhere she can to keep me in a good place. And last but not least my friends help me feel normal still. Rest assured I am happy to just be alive and breathing. My music dream as I mentioned earlier is to be a touring self-sufficient musician, an established songwriter, and a good person for the world. You can find my debut album at TheseWhitePigeons.com and it is available for purchase along with some shirt designs if you'd like to support that. But in the end I just want to be able to play guitar and be on stage again. This event has changed my life and if you have the time and money to dedicate, I humbly ask for your help now.

To download the report: https://gofundme.com/c/lovearmy
Enjoy everyone and thank you for all your trust, support, kindness. This was truly a team's effort. Wishing everyone good times ahead!

The full story of this movement: For years we've been wanting to put the privilege of having an audience into ACTION and when we saw the famine happening in Somalia, we thought we had to do something.
Our first instinct was to google how to fly from New York to Somalia. We saw that Turkish Airlines was the only airlines flying there. So we asked ourself what if we could convince Turkish Airlines to let us use one of their flights to Somalia? And fill it with food!
One shipment - providing immediate relief for an immediate need.

That's how it all began

and within 24 hours we made this idea public

All together.

It became a movement called LOVE ARMY FOR SOMALIA

After a couple of hours, Turkish Airlines approached us with a positive answer !!

And they made available for us a full cargo flight that can fly 60 tons of food.

This first victory proved us how much power doesn't mean much individually, but has the potential to move mountains when we UNITE!

That's why we decided to raise money all together and started this GoFundMe page 2 months ago.

Because we didn't even have the time to create an official charity, Ben Stiller has generously let us use his charity STILLER FOUNDATION in order to receive and manage the funds. This means U.S. DONORS ARE ABLE TO WRITE THIS DONATION OFF THEIR TAXES if they wish.

To get that tax receipt please email mg@dr-barbara-sturm.de after your donation.

In 21 hours we raised 1 million dollars. Way enough to buy the 60 tons of food.

So we used our flight and bought 60 tons of special food for malnourished babies named PLUMPY'SUP.

That is the product.
And that is what the 60 tons we bought look like:

Then we took the flight to Somalia to make sure the food was being given to the people in need!

Buying those 60 tons of food has cost us exactly 155,938 Euro. About 166,371 USD. Which means we still had so much more to spend.

So we decided to use the remaining fund to buy food locally. To support the Somali economy!!

We teamed up with an NGO in Somalia called American refugee committee, run only by Somalis. They became the best partner we could have dreamed of. Because they are from here, knew exactly what was needed, and understand this country.

This is the food we buy here and distribute:
- Rice
- Flour
- Sugar
- Porridge
- Milk powder
- Dates
- And cooking oil

And here are some pictures from our food deliveries:

There is a huge misunderstanding that a country in "famine" doesn't have food. The truth is Somalia has plenty of food in its store & markets. The problem is the drought has killed all the animals which often were the only source of income for the people. So without income, people are not able to buy food.

The world needs to support Somalis with food & water until the drought is over. Until new animals are bought again and food can grow again!

For water, we've learned from multiple NGOs on the ground, that the most efficient thing to do is get water trucks to be delivered. Each water truck is about $250 and about 10,000 liters.

Here is a picture of the trucks.

SO FAR, WE'VE DISTRIBUTED OVER 1000! TONS OF FOOD, ALL BOUGHT LOCALLY.

AND OVER 3 MILLION LITERS OF WATER!

AND OF COURSE THE 60 TONS OF BABY FOOD.

This mission, because of all of you, is way more successful than any of us individually could have ever dreamed. But things in Somalia are getting worst and worst, and in many places, people are on the verge of dying from either cholera or severe diarrhea. There is no time to lose. And we need more help.

That is why, now that we have 3 months of experience of execution on the ground with ARC, and that we are confident that what we are doing is actually having an impact and saving lives, we've decided to push the goal of this campaign to 2,7 million dollars.

Just like to our first donors, the promise to you all is full transparency. Funds are handled by the Stiller Foundation, and at the end of the mission, we will publish online all the receipts so you will know where every single dollar went.

Also, because of all the people that are here with us in Somalia to document the mission, we will be consistently posting updates on Facebook/Twitter/Instagram, so you can all see first hand the successes of YOUR mission. And also the struggles sometimes that we have to go through.

Here is a video from a french YouTuber "Le Grand JD" that joined us in Somalia and spent 1 week with us (with English subtitles)

We know this is possible to reach the $2.7 million. And if it is then we must. If we all make an extra effort to give, even just a little bit, we will get there.
For those of you that can not give anymore, please talk to your friends/family or think of a creative way, if you look for it you will find a way!!

Congrats to all of you for saving lives.

Love Army.

PS: more pictures from the last 2 months:

That day our truck broke... wasn't the easiest day :)

They wanted to help with the water delivery :) young but strong!!!!

Finally, we will leave you with a picture we were hesitant to share...

When we arrived in this village the little girl on the left vas very dehydrated... and needed urgent help. Just next to her.. stand the cutest smile we found here.

Those kids live in one of the villages the most hit by the drought, they are both malnourished (can confirm that after carrying them), many people have already died in his village.

But, and it's a big BUT, you can see the smile on the boy's face... one of the most precious smiles we've ever seen. May this give us all hope that this is not too late and we can still save as many people as we can. We must.

This mission relief for Somalia is built like a puzzle, with thousands of people bringing their own pieces to make it work. People that refuse to be complicit of this tragedy. We don't have to let those people die. We can act today. Join us today and play your part.

Love Army.
