Our dear friend, wife, sister, mother, daughter, and inspiration was taken abruptly from us when she suffered a tragic horse accident, which resulted in a fatal brain injury on the afternoon of Saturday, October 24th.  Jessica leaves behind her brand new baby Wolfe Lee Bender, and husband of 9 years, Tom Bender.  These badly needed funds will help cover the costs of the life flight, Jessica's treatment/surgery, and help build a fund to defray costs for childcare and the future of this dear baby Wolfe. Tom has not requested this fund, but we know that any donation and/or sharing this fundraiser is one of the best ways we can show our love and support for this incredible woman and her heartbroken family right now. Jessica Bender was a light to countless lives and will never be forgotten. Soft-spoken and full of beautiful spirit in every positive way, Jessica knew how to live with purpose. Jessica always sought out those in need with love, respect, and empathy towards everyone she met.  She had adventure in her DNA, whether she was summiting one of Utah's many peaks, exploring a red rock canyon, or riding a favorite horse trail. She was an exceptionally talented designer. Her studio Box Street Design, located in Salt Lake City, was thriving and full of promise. Her lifelong dedication to her art inspires us all to be our best selves every day. Jessica met and married her best friend, Tom Bender in 2011, and together they embraced the spirit of entrepreneurship, each in their own successful endeavors.  As a result, both are self-employed and are not part of a larger healthcare plan, another reason your support is so critical. One of Jessica and Tom's deepest desires was to start a family. Wolfe came into the world just a few short months ago on August 10, after many years of waiting and IVF treatments. Jessica’s friends will tell you that having Wolfe was a dream come true. Now it is up to us to ensure that this sweet baby can have a secure foundation in life. A tribute to Jess and some love for Wolfe

We are raising money to 3D print and manufacture face shields for local medical personnel treating Covid-19 patients. The director of supplies and services at Intermountain Healthcare has requested that we manufacture several hundred face shields over the next few weeks to donate to the IHC hospitals and other medical facilities. These face shields cost about $10 to manufacture, each taking approximately 3 hours to make and we can only make one at a time. We are raising funds to buy supplies such as the 3D filament for the headband, plastic for the shield and elastic band for the strap.  If we raise enough funds we can purchase an additional printer to double the manufacturing speed.
