Amy Harden, a beloved friend to so many, has been diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), a progressive and challenging nervous system disease. Amy is a retired Sulphur Springs school teacher who has touched countless lives through years of dedication to her students and community. Throughout this journey, Amy’s husband, Rusty, has been a devoted caregiver, doing everything possible to support Amy and keep her comfortable. Amy’s adult children, Taylor and Brooke, have also been by her side, offering love and support as the family faces this difficult chapter together. As ALS progresses, the need for daily home healthcare has become essential, and the costs for this care are overwhelming. In addition to home healthcare, Amy now requires specialized medical equipment, daily medications, and supplements to help manage her symptoms and maintain her quality of life.

<div>I am starting this GoFundMe for my father, <strong>Jason Hearn</strong>. He is a devoted full-time father, raising his 14-year-old daughter, Saige. He is self-employed and owns and operates a well-known construction company in Brazoria County.

<div><strong>He has recently been faced with an unexpected, unfortunate challenge. He is currently being treated in Galveston and needs heart surgery due to blocked coronary arteries and is also needing a heart valve replacement.</strong>

<div><strong>This will put him out of work for quite some time as he heals and recovers, but unfortunately, the bills don’t get to be put on pause.</strong> All proceeds will go to ensuring that he and Saige get to live life as normally as possible while he is out of work.

Let’s Rally for Jason

No family is ever prepared to hear the words, "You have cancer." Unfortunately, that's the reality Tyler and Ally are facing today. If you know Tyler and Ally, you know they are the last people who would ever ask for help. That's exactly why I am asking on their behalf. Anyone who knows Tyler knows he's the first person to lend a hand, work hard for his family, and show up whenever someone needs him. Now, it's our turn to show up for him.

 A few months ago, Tyler was diagnosed with Stage IV Hodgkin lymphoma. Since then, life has become a whirlwind of appointments, procedures, and chemotherapy. The good news is that Tyler has already started treatment and is responding well. He is expected to undergo approximately six months of chemotherapy, and his doctors have recommended he take time away from work so he can focus on healing. While Tyler was approved for short-term disability, it replaces only a portion of his income, leaving a significant financial gap for their family. Like so many families facing cancer, the bills don't stop. Mortgage payments, utilities, groceries, gas for treatments, insurance, and everyday living expenses continue while their household income has been reduced.

 Right now, Tyler's full-time job is beating cancer. While he focuses on healing, Ally is doing everything possible to keep life moving forward and as normal as possible for their two daughters. If you're able to give, no matter the amount, it will help ease the financial burden of cancer by covering the Maier family's mortgage, utilities, groceries, transportation to and from treatment, and other everyday living expenses while Tyler undergoes chemotherapy. If donating isn't possible, sharing this fundraiser with your friends and family would mean the world. <div>Recently, after multiple visits to the emergency room, various doctors, MRI, PET scan, etc., we as a family received this devasting news. Amanda has Signet Ring Cell Carcinoma, one of the most rare and aggressive forms of stomach cancer. Her treatment process will include iron infusions to fight her amenia, surgery, four to six months of chemotherapy, additional surgeries and treatments we can’t begin to know yet. This has been a very fast moving and ever evolving situation.
