Recently, after multiple visits to the emergency room, various doctors, MRI, PET scan, etc., we as a family received this devasting news. Amanda has Signet Ring Cell Carcinoma, one of the most rare and aggressive forms of stomach cancer. Her treatment process will include iron infusions to fight her amenia, surgery, four to six months of chemotherapy, additional surgeries and treatments we can’t begin to know yet. This has been a very fast moving and ever evolving situation.
