What they care about

Those of you who know me, know I'm a cat Dad! I have cats, rescue cats, feed a colony of cats, and I'm even writing a book about cats.

Sam is my cat and a deeply loved part of my family. We were recently hit with a terrifying medical emergency, and I am doing everything I can to give him the best possible chance to recover and come home. Right now, Sam is experiencing daily fevers as high as 107 degrees, along with serious infections, dangerously low red and white blood cell counts, and a very low platelet count. Because of how critical his condition has become, he is hospitalized and needs a life-saving blood transfusion. Watching him go through this has been heartbreaking, and I am asking for help because the cost of emergency veterinary care is more than I can manage alone. Sam is more than a pet to me, he is a much-loved part of my family. He is the sweetest little guy and such an affectionate cat. He loves giving me head butts, always wants to be close to me, and the bond we share is incredibly special. Even while he has been in the hospital, his sweet personality has continued to shine through, and the staff have told me he has quickly become a favorite. I just want to see him feeling like himself again and bring my sweet boy home where he belongs. The funds raised will go directly toward Sam's hospitalization, blood transfusion, medications, testing, and ongoing veterinary care. His treatment has become extensive and expensive, but as long as there is hope for him, I want to keep fighting for him and give him every possible chance to recover. How you can help: No amount is too small, and every donation will make a difference for Sam. If you aren't able to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much and could help us reach someone who can. Any support for Sam means more to me than I can put into words. Thank you for taking the time to read his story, for caring about him, and for helping give him the chance he deserves. I am deeply grateful for every donation, share, prayer, and kind thought sent his way.
Meet Sylvester. I'm asking for your help to give him the medical care he needs and the second chance he deserves. Sylvester has spent his life surviving outdoors near a local restaurant, one of several stray cats I feed every day. Life on the streets has been hard on him. Years of fighting have left scars across his head and face. He's still recovering from a painful bite wound that developed into an abscess on his back, and now he's battling a severe eye infection that caused his eye to swell completely shut. Despite everything he's endured, Sylvester is a sweet, trusting cat who still runs to greet me every day when I come to feed him. When I saw how badly infected his eye had become, I knew he couldn't stay outside any longer. I took him to the veterinarian for treatment and brought him to my home so he could recover somewhere warm, safe, and comfortable. Once he's healthy enough, he'll also be neutered as part of his medical care, giving him the best chance at a healthier, happier future. Your donation will go directly toward Sylvester's veterinary care, medications, follow-up visits, and neuter surgery. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps give Sylvester the opportunity to recover, heal, and finally enjoy the safe, healthy home life he deserves. And if you're unable to donate, simply sharing Sylvester's story would mean the world to both of us. Thank you for taking the time to care about Sylvester and for helping give him the second chance he deserves.
