Darnell's final court date is coming up. I have personally given him more than 20k over these last few months and I am completely wiped out. I might get part of that back when he wins his settlement and I might not, nothing is guaranteed for me but I have successfully kept him out of jail so far and for now that is enough. Having a record, while being temporarily houseless, no familial support system, and navigating the court system has been hell for him and I have done my best to support despite having my own battles that I mostly keep to myself. Hello Thank you so much, here is a message from Darnell to all of you: "To whom it may concern: I Mr Williams can really use prayers and all the financial support I can get right now. I have been down on my luck for some time now. Ever since I was injured on my job. I've been out of work ever since the day of the incident which was 2/18/25. I've been waiting for my settlement & workers comp to kick in but to no avail. I lost my place , and everything I owned. And now I feel like if I don't get the help I really need ima lose my mind next ! I pawned everything I had that was valuable... But that was only enough to carry me for a few days to eat. And towards shelter. I've been borrowing and asking for some help. But I exhausted all my resources and I'm in debt up to my ears I've tried everything I can to keep my head above water but I just keep finding myself spiraling down.and just when I thought it couldn't get any worse... I got into a gypsy cab.on my way to sleep on a friend's couch And the cab driver had a firearm in the vehicle and because. I was in the vehicle when he got pulled over in a traffic stop. Because he didn't have a license,registration, or insurance. We were both arrested and charged with the fire arm. So now this court date coming up on the 22nd of this month .. if I don't have money to pay my court fees and pay my lawyer. I can do years in jail for something I had nothing to do with. And if I'm in jail. I won't receive compensation for my injuries. Because I won't be out to attend the court dates coming up regarding the workers comp case. And I'll be right back to square one! Hello! Darnell needs some urgent help. Please look at this for me. First thank you so much to everyone who has given. It has made a difference. We need another major push right now so if you can reach back in and give something as well as also share it with one person who can pledge to give, it could change his life and the entire trajectory of his future. The main updates are that he has his final workers comp hearing on October 30th and he needs basic cost of living expenses while he is unable to work. Some crazy unbelievable and disgusting things have happened, he got pulled over in the back of a cab with out of date license plates, the police found a gun under the drivers seat in Nassau County and are trying to pin it on him because of his record from a few years ago. It's like out of a bad movie, it's all on body cam so it will get thrown out but now he needs legal fees to deal with this extra random case that has come up and if he can't pay those he gets locked up and misses the workers comp case, so its an emergency. I have about drained my savings at this point in loans and a whole lot of straight up giving, I am not asking you to do anything I haven't done 500x. I am struggling myself at this point and I can't ask my parents for more money for this than I have. I need help. We need help to get through october 30th.
