On June 4th 2026, our dear friend Izzy and their family experienced unimaginable loss. Heidi, their partner of eleven years with whom they have shared a home, unexpectedly left this world.

We knew Heidi to be loving and witty, with a clever sense of humor that could conjure laughter even during the most difficult of times. Heidi fiercely believed in and advocated for the liberation of others. To know Heidi was to love her, and to be loved in return. Heidi cared for and loved Izzy deeply. Losing her is absolutely devastating.

Everyone who knows Izzy understands how they are the one who shows up for all of their friends no matter what, never asking for support in return. Now it is our turn to help Izzy. Through the generosity of family, friends, and community, our deepest desire is to support Izzy, who we love so much, through this time of grief and loss.

Izzy needs our support now more than ever. In the wake of losing Heidi, we do not want Izzy to have to worry about losing their stability, income, and basic needs. We want to give Izzy the space they need to be able to grieve without having to return to work full-time.

Currently, Izzy is facing the loss of their income along side their new reality of significantly increased housing and living costs. Izzy does not have work benefits, savings, or other resources to support them financially through this devastating time. Izzy is also in need of financial support for grief mental health resources, which they will need to pay for out of pocket, and is facing the costs of either repairing or replacing their vehicle, which had significant mechanical issues within 24 hours of Heidi’s passing.

Any funds raised beyond Izzy’s needs will be put towards Heidi’s celebration of life.
