<div>My name is Dalia Salloum and I am a Palestinian American educator living here in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have deep love for both my Utah family and my Palestinian family. I have been working with many community members here in Utah to help raise funds for direct aid to families and friends in Gaza. We initially started these efforts to evacuate people when the genocide began last October. We successfully helped evacuate a few families; some have even made it to safety right here in the Salt Lake Valley!

<div>1. <strong>Ghanim Family</strong>: Hanin Ghanim has been an invaluable resource throughout the last year. When evacuations were still a possibility, she helped us figure out the safest and most secure ways to transfer funds globally. Hanin and her family are currently displaced living in a partially demolished building in Khan Younis in the South of Gaza. They are currently in need of funds to pay for food and daily neccessities. She shared that she recently had her first apple in over a year, and it costed 5 dollars!

<div>2. <strong>Al-Sabakhi Family</strong>: Abdul Majid, pictured here, is 20 years old and he did NOT look like this at the start of the war. As you can see, he is currently on the brink of starvation due to the lack of resources. He and his family were trying to evacuate, and like many other, were unable to due to the closing of all the borders. Abdul was unable receive a medical evacuation as he is over 18 years old. Abdul's family is currently in direct communication with our local hero, Sireena Bseiso, who escaped from Gaza with her 11 year old son and mother. Many people here in Utah know Sireena and her family well, they are always working tirelessly to help their family and friends survive this nightmare in Gaza. Sireena says the funds delivered now (and there is DIRE need here) are required to prepare for the winter months. Tarps, tent supplies, blankets, heating sources, are all much needed for this family to survive.

Help Moayed Alharazin's Family Safety and Future

<div>Hi I'm Grae from Salt Lake City Utah! (@no.wheygrae on IG) I am putting this fundraiser together for the Sabrin family. Sabrin is a mother of 4 sons, 3 daughters, and grandmother to 2 grandchildren. They are tragically caught in the middle of the war in Gaza. Currently, they are taking shelter in a tent in Al Moasey. They have been displaced several times, already. I was moved to organize for them after getting to know the eldest brother Mohammed and the sister Shomoa. Mohammed is 25 (just two years older than me) and before the war he worked hard to earn a degree in English Literature degree from Al Azhar University Gaza. He graduated in 2022 and has been working as a Search Engine Optimizer to provide from his family since then. But the war changed everything.

<div>After the war began in Gaza, the whole neighborhood that we live in got bombed; the sound and destruction were massive. I looked outside the window and found the sky turned red for a while and nearly everything around turned to rubble. It was a fear that no one in my family has ever felt or imagined, and it was just the beginning.

<div>Then we rushed to get outside the house ASAP before it is our home's turn. We ran away from death with fear and tears, saw fire and people running and screaming everywhere. It took us too long to find another place; we walked for two days, the worst journey of our lives. We saw destruction that no human brain can imagine and got too close to dying on the way.

<div>When we finally arrived, we were exhausted and hungry, and we found ourselves in the middle of the street away from home and in a completely different area. It was a really tough feeling. It was at that moment I realized that our life changed forever.

<div>I have never thought that I would see my family literally in the street, with no food and no water or even hope. We lost everything. My mom closed her eyes with her hands and started to weep, and my father cried too, but he did the best he could to hide it (he is a very sensitive man). My younger siblings started crying too and hugging mom and dad, and I wanted to make it easier for them, but how?! I couldn't. I was traumatized, except for a hug.

<div>The first days in the street were a complete nightmare. It was an insanely harsh and cold environment. My married sister and her children, Ameer and Amal, joined us too. Now we live in a tent, but we can't keep on. Please help us get outside the death zone we are in real danger. If war didn't kill us yet, soon famine and diseases certainly will.

Sabrin Family asks the world "Get us Out of Gaza"

This is from one of the nicest people I have met in the sport so far.  These kids seriously work just to stay in the game and this is a major set back.  Please help, even if it is a couple bucks.  I'll start it with a $100.  Blue Skies!<br />From Sarah-<br />On Sunday morning, I was hugged by many skydivers that I've never even met. My initial post has been shared by almost 50 people in 4 different countries. People have offered to let me borrow their gear, and help me find and buy new gear. Some friends skipped the party just to come help us out because they spoke Spanish and are police back at home. My housemates have put their own losses aside to help find my rig. Matt helped me out so much while packing on Sunday as I sat there on the verge of tears. My CK family has sent me so much love. I'm just floored by the outpouring of love in the skydiving community. I just wanted to say thank you for that, and I can't wait to get back in the air with everyone.
