I’m reaching out to you with a plea for urgent assistance for my father.  He is a remarkable individual who has dedicated over five decades of his life to his activism and is currently facing a critical moment in his life that I will need the aid of the activist community for— and anyone who can help.

<div>Unfortunately, his unwavering commitment to compassion and justice has led to recent legal troubles. He was arrested in Idaho for transporting medical marijuana to low-income patients.  Given Dana’s age, poor health and serious heart condition, any jail facility, let alone extended prison stay, would threaten his life.

Free Dana Beal and Abolish Cannabis Prohibition

My name is Johanna Bernabel. My mother Jenny Soto is in desperate need of heart surgery and  is only 51 years old.  My mom  has 4 children and  3 grandchildren.  She lives a humble life in her birthplace - the Dominican Republic and is a hardworking, genuine and kind person.  She is all about family and to know her is to love her.<br /><br />Sadly, she has  been suffering from a serious heart condition for quite some time, which has resulted in dangerously clogged arteries.  A previous catheterization has  failed to solve the problem. 
Recently that situation led to a pre-heart attack. The doctors say she needs an emergency bypass heart surgery in order to save her life as her condition has deteriorated. <br /><br />We are poor. Hence this appeal for financial help.
<br /><br /> She is currently hospitalized in Santiago at The Union Medical Clinic.
The doctors have not operated as of yet. This is because of the lack of funds. She has insurance but it only covers so much of the surgical procedure.<br /><br /> I ask anyone who is in a position to help us to please donate towards her surgery and aftercare.  She is a strong person and will recover 100% once the surgery is complete.<br /><br /> We are hoping for your understanding for a  person in dire need. But since we lost her, she'll have to make do with this meager tribute, which can never be enough.

<div>This past weekend, July 8th, 2023, my mother passed away due to a sudden illness. If you're here, you probably knew her (she's kind of a big deal... New York State Beat Poet Laureate 2022-2024), but in case this finds you and you don't, let me tell you... Or rather, let her tell you:

<div><strong>Born on the Eastern Shore of MD and raised in the Wilds of DC, I escaped at an early date to Woodstock NY, where I raised 4 children and wrote poetry for my desk drawer. Then I discovered the Harmony Woodstock Poetry readings and the rest is history! Since then, I've traveled the US, performing my work in California, Colorado, New York City, Michigan, Wisconsin and places in between. My work has appeared in Big Scream, Big Hammer, PoetryBay, Napalm Health Spa, and Heyday!, among others. Pamela Twining Funeral and Memorial Fund

Hello dear friends, I come through you to share a tragedy that forever changed my life. Yesterday on the 22nd of april at 4 am I wake up with my family during a fire in my house, it was a big and very fast fire. I almost get trapped trying to rescue my mother in law in the second floor which unfortunately didn’t happen because the fire had expanded too quickly and we ended up loosing her. My husband and I lost everything in the fire it was a total loss, we lost our home and the more important one his mother, and for this reasons I come to share my story with all of you. With the money I am collecting I will pay for my mother’s in law’s funeral and find my husband and I a place to live. At this time the Red Cross found a provisory place for us to stay but after that I don’t know what my husband and I will do. I don’t have any family member here in the United States and my husband is not close with his other family members. We have a family of 3 and now is only me and him since we lost his mother. Please help us recovery from this tragedy that will forever change our lives.

<div>Hi, my name is Melissa, and I'm fundraising for Kelly Delanoy and her family after the tragic loss of her husband Peter in an automobile accident on July 19, 2022, while on Route 33 near Wind Gap, PA. Peter was on his way to work at 5:30 a.m. when he was involved in a senseless accident and passed away.

<div>Peter is survived by his wife Kelly and their sons Peter Jr.(7) and Parker(4), as well as children Izayah Delanoy(19) and Ivy Delanoy(22). He was a dedicated father and husband who loved fishing and family time. Peter was the primary income earner, and the family needs funeral expenses as well as living expenses indefinitely.

<div>There will be a memorial service at Gowers Funeral Home on Monday, July 25th and his hometown of Kingston, NY.

<div>My name is Carmela Rivera, I am John Rivera’s oldest daughter. I am creating this on behalf of my brothers and sisters to help cover my fathers funeral expenses.

<div>On the night of June 24th, my father was in his home with my 11 year old sister and went into cardiac arrest. My little sister called emergency services, and when the paramedics arrived they were able to successfully resuscitate my father. My father had went through an estimate of 5-15 minutes without oxygen to the brain before he was resuscitated.

<div>He suffered severe brain damage from the lack of oxygen, losing his basics reflexes including cough, and swallow reflexes. He spent 17 days in ICU without waking up, showing no recovery or progress, before passing away on July 11th, 2022 at 1:44PM.

<div>The unexpected and tragic passing of my father, has been an extremely slow and painful process to see as we waited in the hospital by his side daily for any signs of improvement. All 7 of his children ranging from 11-28 years old including myself and his two grandchildren aged 4 and 5 are faced with the hard reality that we will have to continue our lives without him.

John Rivera

Jesse Citron had a series of seizures and has been in the hospital since January 26.  He was being treated at Kingston Hospital ICU until last week when he was transferred to Westchester Medical Center.   Since there he has seen some progress and his wife, Thomasina has been to see him every day.  <br /><br />This has been very tough on them and their family and I would like to raise money to help them out financially.    Along with thoughts, prayers, and good vibes, please consider donating to help this family as they go through this challenging time.

Robert was the passenger on the motorbike that collided with a car. My brother is currently in the intensive care unit at the Centro Cardiorenal del Cibao in Santiago fighting for his life. The accident left him with cerebral edema, multiple brain contusions, and other injuries. He has undergone brain surgery to help reduce swelling and tend to the hematomas. Before the surgery his prognosis was very bad. However, having survived for more than 72 hours since the surgery, his prognosis has gone from pessimistic to optimistic. Robert is only 20 years old and and is an identical twin to Jimmy who as I have not left his side since the accident. Robert is the sweetest, most loving person and has a whole life in front of him. He is a fighter and we have faith he will pull through. We feel that God has kept him alive for a purpose.Please help by donating whatever you can so we can give Robert the chance he deserves.
