Fighting For Ferguson LLC was created to give Ferguson residents a way to pursue legal action if the city approved a 15-year tax abatement for developers planning to build a 200-megawatt gas-powered AI data center at 8000 West Florissant Ave. The group has faced attorney fees for educating the community about the financial impacts and the proposed project. Although the city council and mayor voted down the proposal, developers may return with a new offer; thus the community needs to stay informed and ahead. Funds will go directly toward attorney fees, community education about the financial and environmental impacts, and hiring specialists if litigation becomes necessary. This ensures the community can respond quickly and effectively to any future proposals that may affect Ferguson’s budget, services, and environment.
