<div>Hi, my name is Ximena Cardeña, and I’m asking for help for my aunt, Sofia, after a devastating fire destroyed her business, Sofia Loren Salon, in Boca Raton, FL.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>What was supposed to be a joyful vacation visiting my aunt and little cousin quickly turned into heartbreak. In just a matter of minutes, the salon she spent more than 10 years building with sacrifice, determination, and love was completely destroyed.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We are still waiting for the official Fire Marshal’s report to see if the building insurance will cover anything, but unfortunately, my aunt did not have fire insurance for her unit, making this loss even more devastating for her and our family.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Sofia Loren Salon was more than just a business. It was my aunt’s livelihood, her passion, and a place where so many people felt welcomed and cared for. My aunt has always treated her clients like family, creating an environment filled with kindness, warmth, and compassion.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Sofia is one of the strongest and most hardworking people I know. Despite facing many personal hardships over the years, especially involving her son’s situation, she has never given up. She continues to move forward with strength and determination no matter how difficult life becomes.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I created this fundraiser to help her begin rebuilding after this tragedy. Donations will help replace salon equipment, furniture, supplies, and assist with immediate financial needs while she works toward reopening her business. She will help her employees with loss compensation as well.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean so much to our family during this incredibly difficult time. And if you are unable to donate, simply sharing this fundraiser would help us tremendously and allow her story to reach more people.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, prayers and support.

</div>

Help Rebuild Sofia Loren Salon After a Devastating Fire

<div>My name is Michael Brown, and on behalf of my family, sister, friends and our surrounding community, I’m raising funds for my sister, Jocelyn Rebecca Brown. Jocelyn was a daughter, a sister, a friend, and above all, a beautiful soul. At the age of 27, on May 8th, she was taken from us far too soon, in a very much avoidable accident, after being struck by a boater. Even though she was doing what she loved, the injuries she sustained were too great and took her life. Our family is devastated and working hard to find a way to honor her memory along with supporting carrying her memeory on through her child, who is on the spectrum with special needs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We want to give Jocelyn the ceremony and memorial she deserves, surrounded by the people who loved her. Any donations will help cover these costs and other events to celebrate her life. If there’s anything left, it will go directly to supporting Mikey, to help keep her memory and spirit alive through him.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for reading and for any support you can give. It means so much to our family as we try to get through this loss and remember Jocelyn for the wonderful person she was.
</div>

<div><strong>Moose (the goodest boy) needs ACL surgery that his insurance will not cover.</strong> His quality of life will be greatly reduced if he is not able to get this surgery. <strong>Please consider donating to this crowdfunding effort so he is able to keep hitting the trails, swimming, and playing.</strong> It would mean the world to me to see him enjoy his life. I’ve also added photos of the vet estimate to corroborate the goal amount!

Help Moose Get His ACL Surgery

<div>I am creating this GoFundMe to help <strong>Dakota and Ruth Lee with the tragic passing of their newborn baby, Hendrix.</strong>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>The Lee family will be facing an immense amount of medical bills related to Ruth's emergency surgery to save her life, Hendrix's NICU bills, funeral costs, and funds to support them as they take time to themselves to heal.

</div>

<div>Donations and prayers would be greatly appreciated.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Words from the Lees:

</div>

<div>"Our hearts are both full and broken as we share the arrival and passing of our precious son, Hendrix Louis Lee.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Hendrix came into the world on August 8th, at 38 weeks exactly. I went into intense labor unexpectedly, and just twenty minutes after arriving at the hospital, my placenta ruptured entirely. I lost a significant amount of blood, and we were rushed into an emergency C-section. I was placed under general anesthesia. Our strong, beautiful boy was life-flighted to Primary Children’s Hospital while I remained at our original hospital.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Hendrix fought with everything he had, and the NICU team cared for him with such skill, tenderness, and love. We are deeply grateful for every single medical professional who poured their hearts into trying to save him.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Despite his incredible fight, our sweet boy passed away on August 10th. Our hearts are shattered that we didn’t get more time together, but we are also endlessly proud that Hendrix is ours forever. We know, without a doubt, that he fought as hard as he possibly could to stay with us.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>There are no words that can truly capture our grief, but we humbly ask that you keep our family in your prayers as we learn to carry this new chapter of love, loss, and longing.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We love you forever, Hendrix. You will always be our son, our joy, and our brave little fighter."

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Thank you

Support the Lee Family After Tragic Loss

<div>Hi my name is Ihona and I started this fund raiser for my step son Noah. At just 21 years old Noah has been diagnosed with Grey Zone Lymphoma. This is a rare form of Lymphoma cancer that has qualities of both Hodgkin’s and Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Noah’s reality has been drastically altered and he’s facing daily challenges that no one his age should ever have to deal with. He was passionate about his Career as a boat captain and he’s no longer able to pursue his dreams of one day owning his own charter (for the time being). Noah was independent and took pride in being autonomous and that has been stripped from him. He had to give up his independence and move back in with his father and I for the duration of his treatment. As some of you may know we live in Key West and we have no resources for cancer patients so his treatments take place 4 hours away which has presented numerous challenges and a lot of unexpected expenses from hotel rooms and travel expenses, many meals away from home and the list goes on. My purpose of this fund raiser is to possibly help off set some of the financial burden on our family and Noah so that we can focus on getting him the best treatment possible.

</div>
<div>Please help Coco’s family during this very difficult and emotional time. Our beautiful Coco will not make it. She is embarking on a new journey with God and is leaving behind her legacy. She has built so many friendships in the short time she was here. She loved hard and many. Coco is donating her organs to save others peoples lives. Her family could use your support given the financial burden of all the unforeseen expenses during this tragic yet spiritual time. Your gift will help them continue to pass Coco’s legacy on. She is GIVING others the WIND BENEATH HER WINGS! Help spread her love and help me show her we can give as she would give.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hi,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Jami and a true warrior, angel, daughter, sister and friend is fighting for her life. Coco, a light to many is in her mid 40’s and suffered a heart attack and then went into cardiac arrest. She coded twice and was taken to Sebring Hospital in Florida.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She was frozen to prevent further damage to her brain and other organs. Sebring did not have the expertise or medical equipment to treat her. Her family had to fight with the medical staff in Sebring to get her transferred to Tampa! Thank GOD, that their efforts came to fruition.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Coco is fighting and there is HOPE! She has traumatic brain damage and needs time to heal. Her eyes are trying to track and she is trying to follow instructions. Everyone that knows her or her family has faith that she can beat this. She is strong tenacious woman! But the family does need help with medical expenses and long term care due to mediocre insurance (since Coco was laid off recently) and unforeseen expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With your help we can help the Frey family and Coco during this very difficult time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Her family is 4 hours away and incurring excessive living, medical, legal and other unforeseen expenses. The cost of her care due to mediocre insurance and the additional expenses that are accruing is racking up for the family. They are trying to juggle paying their bills along with their daughters! No parent should have to face or deal with this tragedy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Frey family would give anyone the shirt off their back. When I was 16 they took me in, put a roof over my head, clothes on my back and made sure I didn’t go hungry. Please help me pay it forward for this dear family. They could use all the support they can get and Coco deserves and needs the best care possible as she is a bright light to many. Her family could use your support during this difficult and challenging time. Every dollar counts and no donation is too small. Your generosity and kindness is very much appreciated. #teamcoco

<div>“…He pushed every boundary,

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Everything can be taken from us, with one exception; the ability to choose how we
</div>
<div>respond. Such is the story, the insightful journey of a marathon runner/adventurer,
</div>
<div>Andrew Szabo.
</div>
<div>Perspective is power. And Szabo’s race to outpace his motor neuron disease ALS is a transforming tale, a life re-affirming baton that must be passed on. Andrew’s way of looking at things is a mirror reflecting every man’s journey. But even more, it is a glimpse of an untapped superpower we all have within. Telling this story is Andrew’s wish. It is his legacy --- and our mission. However, given the nature of Szabo’s illness, our camera time with Andrew is limited. The stopwatch on this race is ticking. But what we lack in Time, we intend to make up for with our determination and willingness to… respond.
</div>
<div>Catching this man’s enlightenment in a bottle is both the challenge and goal of our
</div>
<div>documentary, “Boundless.” And you are invited to join us in the making of this amazing story.
</div>
<div>The budget for STAGE ONE: preproduction is $70,000; with an estimated total cost of $336,000…. With the skill of our experienced crew, we intend to maintain the highest quality film production, while at the same time, keeping the cost low; for we intend to use as much of the funds as possible to likewise offset the medical expenses that the Szabo’s are sure to amass.
</div>
<div>We will provide updates along the way on the production progress and provide multiple ways to directly follow along and communicate with us.
</div>
<div>Join “Team Andrew” and help us recount the life and illuminating lessons of a truly rare individual. Help us put on the screen an inspiring example of how to run the race…despite the hurdles.

<div>Thank you for your willingness to respond.

A friend who lost the house in a fire

<p>Hello<br />My name is Vikki Evans, Julius Bell’s baby <br />sister. His older sister and I decided to start <br />this GoFundme to help Julius (Neal, as we call him) <br />with his medical bills, home maintenance, <br />household bills,  and any unforeseen expenses until he recovers.<br />Julius woke up on his birthday (January 15th) not feeling well. The symptoms would remind you of the flu so it didn’t seem emergent to go to an urgent care or ER. Little did we know it <br />was much more that. When our brother finally arrived to the ER 6 days later, on January 21st, because he was not getting any better, he was in Septic Shock! Needless to say, he was in <br />very critical condition and was transferred to ICU, where he is still today. He went from being <br />coherent on admission, to lethargic, to <br />unresponsive in 2 days. He was transferred to a step down unit for a day and a half at one <br />point, but was transferred back for closer <br />monitoring due to his breathing. We were <br />happy about that because we knew the nurse <br />to patient ratio is much lower there.<br />From the beginning, a battery of tests were <br />performed, to find out the origin of the<br />infection..lab work, X-rays, CTs, MRIs, blood <br />cultures, ultrasound, lumbar puncture, and an EEG to name <br />most of them, I think. His heart, kidneys, liver, and mental status were all affected. His body was in very bad shape. Unfortunately, at this <br />time they still have not confirmed the reason <br />for his illness. Therefore, they have treated his symptoms.........antibiotics, heart medications, oxygen, tube feedings, and dialysis. Recently, a couple of his doctors THINK they know what may caused it but without confirmation they <br />will not tell us.<br />Let’s skip to today....January 30th....First I haveto give ALL the Glory and Praise to God, the<br />Father! Without Him, we would not be where we are today. Secondly because of his family,<br />friends, and even strangers that may know me, or my sister, or may have just heard that we <br />needed prayer, flooded heaven and God heard our cry. I can’t thank each and every one of <br />you individually for your prayers, but just <br />know we are so <br />thankful and grateful. He has brought him <br />further and<br />further each day. It has been a very slow <br />progress, but as of yesterday he is responding more, opening his eyes on his own without you having to arouse him, answering some <br />questions by nodding yes or no, and even <br />trying to talk around the tube. <br />Though he is not out of the woods, and has a <br />very long ways to go, I trust and believe he is <br />on his way to a full recovery. I will update you as often as I can. I KNOW he is loved by many, and you want to know how he is doing, so I will do my best to keep you updated.<br />If you find it in your heart to donate, we thank you in advance. But most importantly, <br />please keep the prayers coming!

Julius’s Journey

On December 4, the communities of Key West, FL, and Copenhagen, Denmark — as well as a host of friends and family around the world — lost a beautiful ray of light in Dorthe Thure. She was, above all, a loving, caring and nurturing mother to her two children, Kristian, 12 and Naia, 8. Dorthe had an unmatched grace in her presence that will be missed by all of those who had the great fortune of knowing her. She loved spending time with her kids near the ocean in Key West where she had made a home since 2012. Each summer she would bring the kids to Denmark, where they were both born, to visit family and show them the place where she was raised, educated, and lived for much of her life. The sudden and tragic nature of Dorthe’s passing has left her family, including her children and their father Billy Kearins, with unexpected and mounting immediate expenses. In an effort to come together in support, this page has been set up by friends to raise funds to assist with both their current needs, as well as to establish a secure, long term fund specifically allocated to the children’s future educational requirements. All funds collected will be deposited into a single account managed by a small group of close friends and family including Kasie Sullivan who is the named beneficiary of this fundraiser.  Kasie is Naia and Kristian's aunt (Billy's sister).  Should you wish to designate your donation to either the immediate needs or the educational fund, simply make a note of your intentions. After immediate needs are met, any additional funds, as well as those specifically designated for education, will be transferred to a secure 529 investment account. Dorthe’s family would like to thank, in advance, everyone for the outpouring of support in helping the children secure a strong foundation as they move forward with loving thoughts and memories of their mom. Should you have any questions regarding contributions, please contact me, Letty Nowak.  I am a friend of Dorthe and Billy.  Dorthe also worked with me at Jag Gallery in Key West.

Friday, November 27th Eden was visiting friends in Naples Florida while on winter break from FSU before returning home to Georgia to be with her family.  <strong>While doing so, Eden suffered a severe spinal injury from a swimming accident while boating.  She was life flighted to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery.  After surgery, Eden has some movement in her upper extremities, but currently has no feeling from her chest down, which doctors believe could be permanent.   </strong>This is obviously  life altering circumstances for Eden and her family .  With so many unknowns about the support that will be needed, our hope is to ease the financial burden that comes with the extensive medical bills, travel for family to be with Eden, transporting Eden to a Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Center in Georgia,  finding a more wheel chair accessible home  and ultimately the long term recovery and  rehabilitation.  As coworkers and close friends of both Eden and Christina,  our goal is to lessen the stress as much as possible. With your help and generosity ,  Eden and her family will be able to focus on her recovery.  Your donations will go directly to Christina Schroeder, her Mother, to fund Eden's medical Costs, travel expenses, rehab and the cost of many unknowns right now.
