Hi, my name is Ximena Cardeña, and I’m asking for help for my aunt, Sofia, after a devastating fire destroyed her business, Sofia Loren Salon, in Boca Raton, FL.

What was supposed to be a joyful vacation visiting my aunt and little cousin quickly turned into heartbreak. In just a matter of minutes, the salon she spent more than 10 years building with sacrifice, determination, and love was completely destroyed.

We are still waiting for the official Fire Marshal’s report to see if the building insurance will cover anything, but unfortunately, my aunt did not have fire insurance for her unit, making this loss even more devastating for her and our family.

Sofia Loren Salon was more than just a business. It was my aunt’s livelihood, her passion, and a place where so many people felt welcomed and cared for. My aunt has always treated her clients like family, creating an environment filled with kindness, warmth, and compassion.

Sofia is one of the strongest and most hardworking people I know. Despite facing many personal hardships over the years, especially involving her son’s situation, she has never given up. She continues to move forward with strength and determination no matter how difficult life becomes.

I created this fundraiser to help her begin rebuilding after this tragedy. Donations will help replace salon equipment, furniture, supplies, and assist with immediate financial needs while she works toward reopening her business. She will help her employees with loss compensation as well.
