 In June 2026, Amanda received devastating news: <strong>stage 3 rectal cancer</strong>. She is determined to get surgery at <strong>MD Anderson Cancer Center</strong> hoping to avoid a permanent ileostomy.

 Because MD Anderson is out-of-network for her insurance, the costs for surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, travel, and lodging will be significant, especially while she can’t work.

Support Amanda: Amazing Nurse Battles Stage 3 Rectal Cancer

<p>Foster Ray was attacked last night by his parents’ foster dog. Foster ray is a small chihuahua and was no match for the much larger dog. The incident <br />came out of nowhere as the two had been living together for several months.
</p>

<p>Foster Ray is now at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialist where he underwent surgery to repair a severed artery. According to the doctors he had <br />overcome the toughest part but will have a long road to recovery ahead of him, with the next 12 hours being critical. His parents’ business has <br />severely been impacted by Covid -19 and they can only afford a couple of thousand dollars to cover his bill which at the moment is over $6000 and <br />increasing by the hour. They are looking to move Foster Ray to another veterinary  office that offers overnight coverage but are having little luck. <br /><br />I am writing this on their behalf as I personally know the generous monetary contributions they have afforded to the rescue community prior to <br />impact to their business. Recently all they could do was foster and that’s what they did and now this happened. Sadly by trying to do a good <br />deed something tragic came of it. I am sure this will not change their views on what it takes to rescue because that’s just the type of loving people they are. <br /><br />Please help us help them! Please help us help Foster Ray!! UPDATE: Most of you are familiar with and love Tacos Tierre Caliente across from W Alabama Icehouse.  Maria Victoria is the owner, and her 22 year-old daughter, also named Maria (Samano) passed away this morning at 6am at Park Plaza Hospital. She had gone through an operation for a brain tumor and was in critical condition for 4 weeks.<br />We are tryng to raise money so that she can bury her daughter and pay medical bills. Please donate what you can, every little bit helps, even $5 or $10.
