Hi everyone, It’s been a while since we’ve sent an update on Fountain Point, and we know many of you have been wondering where things stand. To our fellow anti-solar warriors and all the supporters who have stood beside us through this long fight — here’s the latest. Fountain Point is still waiting on a decision from the Ohio Supreme Court. That decision could finally stop the project, send it back to the Ohio Power Siting Board for another hearing, or allow it to move forward. Unfortunately, with two Supreme Court justices up for reelection this year, there’s a chance we may not get a decision until 2027. We know. It feels like this fight has been going on forever. But we haven't given up. Earlier this year, Invenergy attempted to begin limited construction in an effort to preserve federal tax incentives that were set to expire in July. We weren't about to sit back and watch construction begin while our case was still pending. So we called on our attorneys at Plank Law once again. And once again, we won that fight. We were able to stop the construction efforts — although unfortunately, not before a small amount of construction was completed. That victory came with a legal bill, and we still have some of those expenses left to cover. And this is where we're asking for your help. ❤️ We could organize a raffle. We could have a car wash. We could come up with another fundraiser. But honestly, after everything our supporters have already done, we'd really like this to be our last big ask. If you can reach into your pocket one more time and give $10, $20, $50 — whatever you can afford — it will help us pay off the remaining legal expenses. Then we can finally take a breath, sit back, and wait for the Supreme Court to decide our case. We wouldn't still be here without you. Every person who donated. Every person who made a phone call.
