Hello friends, Thank you so much for everything you’ve given so far - you have saved our friends’ lives with your donations and link shares. But as with any refugee crisis, each week brings another set of challenges. We need to raise at least $500 to ensure our friends can meet their basic needs for the week ahead - that is to say food, water, medications - but we always aim to raise more. It’s impossible to know for sure what can happen in the future, especially as refugees in an unforgiving climate, and everything comes with a cost, whether it be emergency healthcare, or unexpected travel. Please continue to be as generous with your donations as you have been before, and share the link with as many people as you can - sharing helps grow our giving circle, and increases the chances of us meeting our goals each week. Much love and thanks, Z. & Co
Hello everyone, We want to kick off by thanking you immensely for your support - because of you, we were able to help our friends in South Sudan make it through another week. The importance of your help cannot be overstated - you are helping queer refugees, people whose lives are not safe even amongst fellow refugees, survive. But, as ever, the battle goes on. We need to reach $450 to meet our friends’ basic needs for each week, and we hope to raise over this to give some comfort to their lives. While donations at all times are appreciated, it is important for us to reach this $450 goal by each Friday, as GoFundMe does not allow cashing out over the weekends, meaning our friends often face the prospect of entire weekends without food, water, healthcare. Much as our friends need to know that they are not alone in their struggle, we want you to remember that you are not alone as a source of funds to help them. We all need to put our hands in to make their lives easier. Whatever you can give - in donations, link shares, word of mouth - will help. With love, The Mashoga Org.
Hello friends, Our friends in South Sudan are currently starving, with no food and no money to their name. We are still in urgent need of your help. We fundraise towards their weekly needs, so that they are able to plan ahead and not feel as food insecure. For Z and friends, the target amount is currently $500, to cover all of their essentials. However, recently our funds have slowed down, to the point that we have had to cash out donations day by day, with no predicting how much we can give them for the following day. This has led to single meals having to be shared by the group, and no reassurance about what tomorrow will look like. It also means their medical expenses are on hold, which we're sure you'll agree is no way to live. We're deeply grateful for all of your support, and urge you to give what you can to bring our friends some stability. And share the campaign far and wide - if you aren't able to give much today, perhaps a friend can. With love and thanks, Z. and Co
