<div>My name is Sara, and I am raising funds for the Hamdan family. I am a US citizen who has been an activist for much of my life. I will be overseeing the campaign, and will be responsible for making sure these monies get to people in Egypt to meet this family at the Rafah crossing. I was introduced to this family through social media campaigns, joining activists with people who need help, immediately.
</div>
<div>From left to right (pictured) they are Al-Yaman (1 year 4 months), Anas (11), Islam (mother), Nesma (9), Sana (5), and Ahmed (father). They are in Gaza, desperate to flee to Egypt. I have a close friend, locally, who is Egyptian American and she has contacts in Egypt. This is an attainable venture! The fees to cross are $5,000 per adult, and $2,500 per child under 16 years of age. The Hamdan family has lost everything- their home (air strikes), their orange/lemon/strawberry/olive farm (destroyed/bulldozed), their flock of chickens, and other pet birds, and Islam's architecture business. Ahmed worked as an employee of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and as a supervisor regarding the mosques in Gaza.
</div>
<div>From here, I will let you read their story from the children, with the help of their father.
</div>

<div>Our father and mother provided the best possible means to achieve our dreams. They created a beautiful life for us. We lived a life full of happiness, joy and prosperity. Our mother, who is an architect, took great care of us. Sana was in kindergarten when the current troubles started, she loves singing, drawing, and swimming. Anas was in 6th grade, he was an excellent student who loves football and swimming. Nesma was in 4th grade. She enjoys drawing, reading and watching children's shows on television. For the past 7 months, she has stepped in to help her mother with anything she can, including the care of her youngest sibling, who is under 18 months old.
</div>
<div>It is very difficult to say that we have lost everything we have. It is like a recurring nightmare that we live, every day.
</div>
<div>We lost our home and farm. It was a warm, safe place that my Mom and Dad worked for ten years to build.
</div>
<div>On October 8, 2023, we were asked to leave the area in which we live and evacuate to other areas. We left and the area where we live was bombed, completely destroying our house. Both of our parents lost any and all income, and ever since, we have all been in a constant state of fear and terror. We have miraculously survived the bombings, thanks to God. The constant airstrikes and shelling have caused panic for all of us, we cannot bear the sounds of huge explosions. We were displaced again, this time to Khan Yunis in the south. We came to a refugee school. We have contracted diseases from contaminated food and water. Disease spreads rapidly because of overflowing sewage into the streets. Everywhere is crowded. Almost everything is destroyed.
</div>
<div>Our family wishes to raise funds to help us leave to Egypt. We only have what little we could carry with us, when we first left our home. All of us wish to return to school, and our parents want to rebuild our lives, in safety.
</div>
<div>                  ______________________________
</div>
<div>These funds will be used to leave Gaza, into Egypt, and to secure living expenses for several months after.

Support Hamdan Family's Journey to Safety

<div>My name is Anas Al Burri. I am 17 years old, and I live in Gaza, a place where every day is a fight for survival. For the past seven years, I have been struggling with <strong>Type 1 diabetes</strong> and <strong>high blood pressure</strong>. I lack the necessary medications and even basic food supplies. The hardships my family and I face are beyond what words can describe. This is our last resort.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My sister gave birth to her child during the war. She delivered in an unhygienic area and developed <strong>jaundice</strong>. Her home was destroyed, and we can barely help her. The baby, a girl, is also suffering from severe health issues. We have no milk, and my sister is too ill to produce any.

<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our home, once filled with laughter and love, has been reduced to rubble. We now seek refuge in a UNRWA school, but it is far from a place of safety. In this relentless genocide, we have lost 50 beloved family members. My brother, my grandparents, and all their children have been brutally taken from us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Three months ago, my 14-year-old brother Ahmad was searching for something to eat when he was shot in the chest by snipers from a kilometer away. The bullet went straight through his body. He was just a CHILD! We still can't believe it and keep thinking he will come back any moment. We didn't even have time to mourn him before the next family members were killed.

<div><em>This is Ahmad, my 14-year-old brother, two years ago. He dreamed of becoming a photographer one day.</em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are left with only a small family: my father, my mother, my five-year-old brother, my eight-year-old sister, my two married sisters, and me. We have lost everything and are fighting daily to survive.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our farm, where we kept livestock and grew vegetables and figs, was destroyed and occupied. Israeli soldiers now occupy the land, taking away our ability to live a peaceful and dignified life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I wake up every day to the cries of my younger brother and sister, who are too young to understand why their world has turned into a nightmare. My mother tries to comfort us, but I see the fear and despair in her eyes. My father, once a proud man, now stands defeated, unable to protect his family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are reaching out to you with a desperate plea. We need your help to survive. Your donation can provide us with the life-saving medications and food that we desperately need. Every act of kindness brings us closer to safety and restores a glimmer of hope in our hearts.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With your support, you can give us and many other families in Gaza a chance to survive and rebuild our shattered lives. Help us survive and leave Gaza so that the last of our family does not perish.

<div>Thank you for your empathy and kindness.

Evacuate My Last Family Members in Gaza

<div>Hello world,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>We are a family of 9 members begging for help to survive</strong>
</div>
<div>with whatever you can
</div>
<div>To everyone reading these words, we are currently in the <strong>sixth month of the war on Gaza.</strong> These days have been filled with nothing but fear and deprivation, with the sounds of bombardment and destruction shattering our dreams. In our home in Gaza, <strong>I live with my family of nine members.</strong> Our lives have been reduced to details of oppression and suffering, which continue to weigh heavily on my husband, Nour Al-Din Ashour, his brothers Mohammed and Youssef, his wife Maisoon, my sister Marin, my nephew Ahmed, and my two children Mariam and Milad.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Me and my two beautiful children Milad and Mariam </strong>

<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Me and my husband </strong>

<div><br />
</div>
<div>As I write this plea, my small family gathers under dimming lights, sharing canned food for iftar during the holy month of Ramadan. These are harsh moments as we try to remember the fleeting happy times, when we eagerly awaited our parents and uncles returning from work. But today, they are without jobs to meet our needs. Our lives have changed drastically, and moments pass in eerie silence, leaving us with memories burdened by the pain that has added years to our young lives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every sunrise marks a challenging journey to secure our meals through primitive means of baking bread, cooking, and fetching water after enduring long queues at the only water source in our neighborhood. This is a reality unimaginable, where peace and safety are no longer present. Everything has changed for us. Instead of caring for my family—my husband and children—I find myself writing this plea for help to evacuate Gaza, hoping to salvage whatever remains of our future, a topic I no longer discuss with my husband and children these days.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All we dream of now is for this message to reach the hearts of humanity worldwide, to find compassionate souls willing to act and share this plea extensively. Your contributions, no matter how small, via the GoFundMe platform, can be a beacon of hope for me and my family to leave Gaza. With deepest gratitude and appreciation,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>From my family.
