Chemo 4 Finally Given the Green Light! After a two-week delay because my blood counts weren’t playing ball, Chemo 4 finally went ahead yesterday! And there’s some encouraging news from my latest CT scan — the previously known cancer in my lungs is no longer visible! Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite the straightforward result we’d hoped for. Three new suspicious areas have appeared in my lungs, so there are still some unanswered questions about exactly what these represent. They’ll need to be monitored and discussed further with my oncology team. So, for now, we keep going… There’s also been another worry added into the mix recently. Colin’s ability to have paid time away from work when he needs to care for and support me is now in question. Nothing has been formally decided yet, but understandably this is a real concern for us. Until now, Colin has been able to be there when I’ve really needed him — for treatment, appointments and the more difficult days — without us also having to worry about losing income. If that changes, we may need to rely on the money raised through this GoFundMe to help replace some of that lost income, allowing Colin to continue being there when I need him most. It’s not something we ever expected your donations might need to help us with, but it makes us even more grateful for the incredible support and security this fund has given us. As always, a huge thank you to everyone who continues to support us, donate and share my GoFundMe. It really does mean so much and helps us make precious memories alongside all of this.
